Eh I don't like the concept of games based off tv shows based off games. Reminds me of the pac man game that would have been better not based off the show.

   Besides what I think is horrible character design, it looks like it could be a good Sonic Heroes style game. But what the heck did they do to Knuckles? Did they seriously think that was a good idea? It is absolutely terrible. And again, after the success of Generations, you would expect something else soon to use the same formula that worked so well. 

I admit, I'm actually kind of looking forward to it. It seems like it's going to be an open exploration game, which has me excited, because it would be nice to have a big space to run around in.
I've heard that there's some people from Jak and Daxter working on it, PLUS I believe one of the heads worked with Naughty Dog for Crash Bandicoot, both of which are some great series (At the very least, in the beginning).
As for the character designs, I quite like them. Especially Tails, what with his more 'inventor-ish' look.  Amy didn't change much, but the costume update was nice to see. I actually REALLY like the new Sonic as well, the scarf looks surprisingly good on him. Knuckles is the only one that's kind of hard to digest. He just looks horribly disproportionate. If they could change the legs to  look like they support his buff upper body more, I could deal with it.
A shame I can't say more about the gameplay, but I'm certainly interested in where the game will go.

patar4097 : It's not necessarily Knuckles, but I think it is. There used to be this TV show (that barely lasted) called Sonic Boom, where it was Sonic and two others that resembled Tails and Knuckles (but they weren't Tails and Knuckles). In the show, the character that resembled Knuckles was very tall and weird looking, just like the new Knuckles in the game.

If I hadn't traded in my 3DS, I would have planned on getting this for it. It looks like it could be a lot of fun and I can't wait for it. Hopefully, I will have a Wii U to play it on before it's too late.

I like how they are making so many Sonic games lately, so Sonic fans do not have to wait two years between every game that is in the main series, as Lost World was released last year, and Sonic Boom releasing this year, I think Sega is on the right track.

There's been a new E3 trailer for this game. I don't like Sonic games too much, but Sonic Boom looks genuinely fun. I might actually buy it!

I'm not sure about other fans, but since my opinions tend to differ from them anyway, I can safely say that this is what I really want.
Just... yes. From what I've seen, the gameplay goes well, and I don't mind the voices at all (Though they could stand to talk a little bit less during stages).
November, though? They must be working fairly fast. I can't wait to get it :3

Sword legion : I like the trailer. Sure it looks unlike any Sonic game before. But it at least looks like fun. It almost looks like Sonic Heroes, only more open, and a 4th teammate. The new villain looks decent. Is this going to be Sidewinder's first in-game appearance perhaps? :3 Sticks seemed decent too, although I don't know if she'll be a playable character or not.

A user of this : I believe Sticks is. At the very least there was a demo of her being playable in the 3DS version. I'd imagine it's the same in Rise of Lyric (WiiU) but I can't remember if she appeared at all.

Honestly?

I LOVE IT.

Yeah, it's not perfect, and Amy seems a little bit more. . . into herself? I liked her old design, I hope that they don't butcher her because she is one of my favorite characters, in fact, I think that Sonic is the only series with female characters whom I care for- cause they aren't all about looks, and they actually have character development. etc.

I love how it looks like we're gonna have combat, AND really fast levels, let's not forget that knuckles can get going pretty fast, and so can Tails.

Oh, and,

YOU CAN PLAY AS TAILS ON FOOT!!!! YEEEEESSSSSS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER FROM MY CHILDHOOD ON FOOT AGAIN!!

Knuckles. . .eh, I'll never quite get used to his design.

I love the settings of this new world, it seems to have a lot more depth than ussual, kinda like the Archie comics. I found some of Sonic's quips annoying, but maybe that will change, if they bring in a bunch of Disney humor, I may hate it for all the stupidity. And please, no color's humor.

You know, this may be as close as we come to Sonic Adventure's world coming back, I know that it's not the same, but it looks like there is depth! depth in characters, and in the world that it takes place in!

Amy and Sonic seem to like eachother, something fans really enjoy, we need more clean relationships like this in media where it's not based on all the wrong stuff. Reminds me of Sonic X.

Eggman, looks like some outcast general, or captain from an army with his new design, very interesting.

The gameplay looks fast and exciting, with about four different modes? combat, and speed, and, although people tend to disagree, I think that sonic could do well with combat, you just have to find a way to do it. There were a few levels in SA2, (space colony ARK I believe?) where you were pretty much going from room to room destroying everything. Just keep the controls pretty similar, although I can understand complete control changeups when you are playing as the whole team. For the Record, this is the first game that I've Seen that makes me glad that we have a Wii-U. My siblings will probably get it, and I'll do a few levels with them. I would love multi-player. Ya know, this actually makes me think back to the "good ol days" where all we had were those four characters, yet apparently they're making a good story, however, although I find Sonic apparently being the reincarnation of some legendary hero funny, and amusing, honestly, that plot is so, SO overused.

Yet somehow I bet that Sonic'll make it go good.

A game that I look forward too, in fact, All that I can really complain about is the way they changed characters. We can't know everything for sure, but I'm lovin it so far, I hope for the best, and will likely play this game with my siblings shortly after it's release.

Sword legion : Yeah, honestly to be frank I'm the kinda guy who can be pretty skeptical at first but grow to changes. Hyrule Warriors being Dynasty Warriors' clone but with zelda skin? New attack forms, settings throughout time, the return of beloved characters back into the series, GO ZELDA! I wasn't so hot with Super Paper Mario and Majora's Mask at first, but the unique gameplay got to me making MM my favorite Zelda game and maybe my favorite stand-alone game of all time, and Super Paper Mario has a freaking awesome storyline with amazing characters and development (yes, it's a game not a storybook, but I never said it was better than thousand year door). Same thing happened here. I saw that there was MAJOR re-design going on, everyone had bandages and some various new form of clothing (tails stole Jowee's goggles ) and not to mention... KNUCKLES IS HUUUUGE!!! He's Knuckles' now. Also they did, as everyone says, use a lot of that Phineas and Ferb humor with the awkward eggman moments and certain character actions. Sticks was also a big subject for me. She was a nice addition when I first heard of it, but upon watching that reveal trailer I went about 42 seconds in before I rage quit. She seems like a mix of Buck from Ice Age, that chick in Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, and the candy girl in Wreck It Ralph. But I admit, having character variety is a pretty good thing. Turning Knuckles into an idiot brute for comic relief angered a lot of people, but he does seem to be arrogant, proud of his strength, and quick to anger while not being a total goof... so far. Amy does seem to be getting more of a definable person, as before she only existed as Sonic's wannabe girl. And each character in the game has different attacks as tribute to previous games. Sonic has attacks like his ground bounce move, focuses mostly on charging at foes, and has boost attacks. Tails as always stays at a distance using inventions and projectiles to harm enemies. Knuckles uses combos along with his gliding and digging abilities, and Amy has a GIANT HAMMER. Sticks has boomerangs, and stuff. So yeah, I wasn't as sure with Sticks being a full-time member, but that leads to my theory... the interview stated she likes going to her jungle home when things get hectic with fighting eggman and being in civilization. So if she comes and goes, is this gonna be a Sonic Justice League? We can have our 4 main heroes and the occasional assistance of other characters. When they need it, they can always ring up Sticks, OR Espio, OR Blaze (cause apparently she's back), OR Shadow, or anyone else they'd put in this series. Oh and they could bring Emerl back... I'm sure he'd like that...

This is the first Sonic game I've looked forward to (or even wanted to touch) since the Dreamcast, so needless to say, I think they finally did it right. The WiiU version looks good, but the 3ds version looks plain awesome to me. I can't wait to actually play that one! They finally went back to the classic formula and improved on what needed work, rather than pop out some Sonic....thing that no one ever really asked for. Looks great.

I've lost most of my hype for this game, to be honest, for at least the Wii U version. Unless the gameplay they showed was both at half speed, and was the tutorial level, I don't see it being very good. The game looked slow, and just seemed like it was basic, and kind of boring combat. Hopefully, it isn't as bad as I thought it was once it's released.

I agree with you, at first the changes where more annoying, (Outside of Sonic showing that he likes Amy more.) And yeah, knuckles is angering cause he's just used for dumb brute humor, and sorry, I hate most humor from cartoon network, (but not from the Looney toons show, is that still running?) and it would disappoint me to see them just lather it on. Still, as you pointed out, Knuckles isn't totally stupid, and does have some good points, in fact, I think that he's been a lot better developed over this- but I'm still waiting for SA1 and 2 knuckles.

The mulitiple playable characters is nothing less of a God send, Sega has been forgetting that we LIKE to play as characters other than Sonic every once in a while.

I don't mind Tails using inventions- so long I can still use his tails as well.

I agree with you about being skeptical about things at first and coming to love them, especially that part about Super Paper Mario, true, the formula is off, but it DID have an awesome story.

I only really get upset if the make a side game, (like Hyrule warriors) and don't make a True entry in the series alongside it- which, they aren't forgetting to do in Zelda's Case.

If you wanna see Amy as a GOOD character, I recommend you read the comics, she's a pretty great character in those, that and, (dare I say it?) Sonic X. Sorry, I loved every moment of Sonic X, It was awesome!

Espio and Blaze being included are great news, I really like Blaze as well.

I'd say bring back Cosmo, but I that that would be better saved for a seaqual- and might just make some fans rage- if they aren't all ready doing that over some of the other changes.

Who know's who might make it in? Shadow I kinda doubt, but it's not impossible. Silver would be great, if they could do it somehow.

I agree with you though, I hate so many of the stupid characters made in so many movies like That girl from Wreck it ralph, was that movie about video games? or cute candy land?

Bleh, I hate it so much, Japan has actually preserved decency in characters, decency that cartoon network lacks. In fact, that's why I don't watch TV, like, ever, cause characters suck, and all they do is act stupid, not epic adventures, except maybe adventure time, but having an Ice King stealing Garbage isn't exactly a deep, serious and awesome plot either.

It this brings in a new wave of stupid Cartoon network like video games, I will hate this game for pioneering it forever, Sega better not let them go overboard. I just hate, hate how cheap characters are for all their stupidity in most media anymore.

You know, you're a pretty creative person Mecha, I love reading your posts because of how inspiring they are. Yes, in all means yes, yes, and yes. Let this series go on for 3 years or even four if it's good enough. I want Sonic to come back big, I can only hope that things will turn out well.
