Okay, so not too long ago I ended up getting slammed with the Flu where I live and it was pretty bad this year around. Once that happened I had a hard time accepting being in there because i'm just someone who hates being restrained to one area but that aside I was upset because I was suppose to go pick up a cute little pup I was suppose to be given by a family friend. Luckily for me, i'm okay, AND I got out in enough time to personally go and pick her up.

Because I love her so much and lots of people love pups, I figured i'd share her on here or at least what pictures I have on hand because she's a little full time job. ~w~

One is the day after she first opened her eyes and started to move around and the other one is of her play fighting with my other dog Kona who is the other dog up there in one of the pictures.

That's great that you got a dog . By the way trust me I know how you felt, there was a huge flu and stomach bug going around where I live not too long ago. How old is the dog right now? I could probably never even have any type of pet or living entity for me to take care of as I can't even feed myself so hats off. I wish you and Lily the best .

Blubcreator : Hahah, i'm sure you'd be able to take care of some pet. But thank you for the best wishes. If i'm not mistaken she's about 8 weeks old this friday. But yeah. I didn't wanna bring it up but with the flu I had, I was actually hospitalized which I can see I messed up my first initial post sentence structure but it was hard to recover. I was just lucky enough to get out in time to go get my little pup.

Awesome videos. How these adult dogs stay as stoic when they have these puppies around is sometimes beyond me. Well, they know they are puppies yes. But anyway, Lily is so very sweet.

I know she is a Doberman but does she have cropped tail? Umm... Personally I think it is pointless. But that is all I say I about it.

She's so cute, btw who is that big dog?

Brigand : Yes her tail is cropped so she has a little nub of a tail. Sometimes I call her "chub nubbers" because she wags that thing a mile a minute sometimes. And the reason behind cropping Doberman tails is because they actually have VERY long tails, practically like a whip. But let's say I  were to train her as a defensive dog and left her tail. If she went at someone and they could reach her tail and pull it hard enough, she'd give up on attacking them immediately because of the pain. That's the honest point around the tail. Now I didnt get her ears cropped because that one is REALLY pointless...I like her flappy ears..

hellno163 : That's my bigger dog, Kona. I adopted him last summer from a shelter my friends had dragged me to. When I saw him I had to have him and get him out of his cage. Don't ask me what breed because even the people who gave me the papers have no real idea. But I love both Lily and Kona equally and try to treat them and play with them equally. Its a tough job but at the end of the day I get two awesome dogs sleeping in my bed next to me. And uhh..thank you. I've never been a fan of how I look, heh.

Yeah man, I understand that. Over here it is outlawed (both with the ears and the tail) and I have not seen a cropped tail in ages on a dog of any kind so it kinda caught my eye. But I did not mean to be judgemental.

Brigand : Oh no no, don't worry. I didn't think you were being judgmental at all. There are reasons and stuff for everything, y'know? Whether is personal preference or laws, it doesn't matter to me. You're perfectly fine, I just figured i'd tell you why the tail cropping happens.

I honestly thought about having her tail being long but the breeders told me about that and..I kinda live on the outskirts of a bad area and in recent years we've been having some issues come into my town so I figured if i'm gonna have a big Doberman and something happens and Lily wants to protect me when she's bigger then she herself would be safer with a smaller tail.

I do feel bad, honestly I do, because I think she'd look a little funny with a whippy tail. But so long as it keeps her safe if someone wants to be harmful then that means it's a call that's worth it. The nice thing is I at least told them to give her a little bit more for a nub so she can still have something to wag a lot instead f it being a nub that's hardly there at all.

Those videos were adorable! You're lucky to have a cute little puppy like that. lol It goes to show that not all Dobermans are evil killing machines. They can be cute, loving, little doggies like all the rest.

That was pretty enjoyable watching her take her first steps. It was also a little amusing. I hope you guys have some more good times together. I also cant believe it took me so long to figure out why you called your dog a doberman *facepalm*

aww thanks so much for sharing pictures of Lily with us! I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to this, but I gotta say, she's absolutely adorable!  I especially like the picture of her curled against your chest, and the picture of her standing in front of her carrier.  She just looks so innocent. xD  I bet she's gotten a lot bigger since you shared those pictures. Care to give us an update?
