I do. Especially since signing up here. I've listened to all sorts of music that I never would have imagined to try. I rid myself of some viewpoints that were wrong about certain genres and have tried listening to old and new songs alike.

Before I signed up, I hadn't listened to true Techno, Dubstep, and K-Pop. I love reading the music threads and hearing the music you like

What about you? Do you ever listen to music outside of your tastes?

Hmm.....I think I do K-pop may be the only one because I listen to a lot of Japanese music, Disney music and old school...a friend on mine on heres links me good songs to listen to and I happen to like it very much. ^-^

Well sometimes I do but that is on youtube and I really do not do it very often.

I always try to have a wide variety of music that I like, from pop to rock to 80s or anything, i try not to limit myself to just one thing. I try to be varied in my tastes. I like music of all kinds, even if it isn't my cup of tea, I still try to expose myself to all kinds of music. It is like food, you don't know if it is good or bad until you have given it a try. 

So yeah I guess I am pretty varied in my tastes for music. Good question by the way. 

Razor-987, that's a good philosophy to follow. I try not to judge any songs simply because they're from a certain genre. If I don't like the first thirty seconds I'll switch but there's no reason to say anything against it without trying. 

I really learned that about dubstep, which I thought was just random sounds. I found out there are really good songs in dubstep that I like (not my favorite, but good). 

tornadocam : I understand about rap, they're nearly all explicit and it's really hard to find any good ones among the numerous bad. I never listen to it either. 

awesomeguy279 : Yeah, youtube is the best when it comes to exploring new music. Just type in "dubstep 1 hour" or "[insert genre here] 1 hour" and you can get a really good taste of the genre. I love youtube!

Eniitan : Yep, I love when friends suggest songs they like. I usually read this forum for what my friends suggest and try listening to the songs and usually end up liking them
