Where to begin on this AWFUL hack. Since this was apparently the creator's first hack I wanted to go easy on him/her but after playing up to Bill's house I quickly changed my mind. As a hack maker myself (which all my hacks I released are on here) I can tell you all that I know what I am talking about most of the time when it comes to Pokemon hacks and could tell when a lot of work was done vs someone just spending an hour on a hack and throwing it up for some extra Viz. This hack was worked on a good amount so again I will try my best to go easy on this first timer but I have MANY negatives about this hack that needs to be said and to be perfectly honest there is no way I can hold back since I am just very straight forward and to the point.

This I felt was a fair rating not only because this was a first hack attempt but also because it had some interesting changes despite all of the awful text bugs, terrible learnset changes, and weird map changes that actually made the hack worse in my opinion. No idea why this game isn't as child friendly as it should be considering this is a family based website to play games on but since you apparently are with team rocket I guess it makes a little sense. (But mods you really should look into that). The hack had me playing through like normal except for the fact that the first starter I chose I had to start over and pick a new starter just because for some odd reason from the start you needed like 400 exp points just to level it up to lv.6 and in the beginning you REALLY do not want to deal with that. Your rival is actually May the whole time which could have been easily fixed if this wasn't a first time hack so just keep that in mind when you think your rival is Gary. I was very disappointed because I actually really like Gary but also because there were absolutely 0 changes made for the text which made everything awkward and not enjoyable as a player.

Graphics & Sound: 8
Graphics were awkward because of some of the sprites that were included. Why the heck would you include a sprite of Sheldon floating in the air?!?!? Other than that the sprites and battle graphics were like the normal Fire Red which since Fire Red had the better graphics than everything up to Emerald this category deserved an 8. If it wasn't Fire Red this would probably be rated lower in my opinion just because of the terrible sprite selections which were made.
Sound I do not really leave on during gameplay especially when I am first trying out a game so I kept this rating an 8 just because I usually always try to keep Graphics and Sound together as a single rating.

Pewter City had an interesting city layout/change that actually made me want to give this hack a higher rating since it is something I actually thought of doing as well for one of my hacks. It was changed in a way where it wasn't annoying but quite smart(You all will know what I mean if you try this hack out which I do not recommend). Once I got to Cerulean I realized it was only a city change for Pewter city which was very disappointing since I was actually considering playing through just from the map change in Pewter city. NO NO NO! May stays your rival the whole time with not 1 text change! Also before you enter a building or when you enter you might have to fight some trainers which is SO ANNOYING especially when you have 1 remaining party member, you just got out of the cave to Cerulean, no potions or revives, and you go into a Pokemon center and a Magikarp has the move Hyper Beam! Yes I was able to defeat the trainer instead of starting over but oh my goodness that was not a "Oh it is probably for higher difficulty" but rather "This is totally annoying and I want to stop playing now!" Unlike Brock, Misty didn't have a team change like I was expecting which was incredibly a let down, but wait, your rival had a team change and is more annoying than usual since you were at least expecting Gary or at least a text change! Oh and there are awkward buggy text changes throughout this hack as I saw so do not make the excuse on how "Oh the hacker probably did not know how to do it." Also there were VERY awkward map changes especially in the cave that again was more annoying than enjoyable so this category just deserves to be a 1.

Story: 2
Sprite changes do not equal a story change. Nothing much to say other than that. It is basically Fire Red with a bunch of sprite changes, buggy text, buggy map areas, weird/awkward looking battle sprites, and the hacker tried to make you go up against Team Magma instead of the good guys which again was just A BIG LETDOWN! So this deserves a 2 rating just because there was an attempt to try and change the story around but really all it was were sprite changes......

Depth: 2
Pretty much the same as the story rating above. Sprite changes and buggy maps do not make this category a high rating! Deserves a 2 rating just because there were double battles involved randomly, gym leader team changes, and some character changes which were actually VERY AWKWARD!

Difficulty: 8
Basically Fire Red with harder gyms, sprite changes, harder rival, and learnsets messed up(Nidorino Male does not learn Helping Hands at level 25! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?) Fire Red in general was kind of difficult if you were not used to the leaders in the game but this hack actually deserves an 8 rating because it was difficult for me to want to play to at least get to Bill's house.

So there is my review which I made non biased and from a fellow hacker's point of view. Hope you all enjoyed and I do not recommend trying out this hack. But I do recommend making this a beta hack and fixing it up A LOT and really it has potential but too many bugs and negatives involved right now for this version.

Deadend136 : Good review. The Hack seemed very bland and nothing new compared to FireRed :L and as you described tried to edit everything that DIDN'T need editing at all.

First of all, I thank you for playing and writing a quite long review. However I'd like to speak of my mind a bit:

-Shieldon's BW Sprite is like that, that's not my fault although I changed it and it will be uploaded in the next day(which includes some fixes).
-I hate the text "glitches" like text not disappearing, too. Most of these scripts were created by PSKV(which you should probably know when you say you're a hacker) and it's script generator which speeds things up but unfortunately, for example, for new obtainable items, the created script will work but text won't disappear.
-I've stated in the description that the game contains some humor. If you agree, I'm happy. If not, that's totally fine, everbody's different.

So far I could agree more or less or at least understand your points...
But then, you state that you didn't see text changes or that May is your rival instead of Gary.
If you had played more you would've found out that Gary does infact appear in the game, also you haven't played so far you'll see all changes.(By the way, Gary does infact only appear in the beginning because I can't properly replace his sprite, I get people get confused by this...)

Concerning the story, as stated above, you haven't played that much to see it all(I don't blame you for anything, don't wanna sound harsh).

Well, interesting to see someone who thinks Firered is quite difficult. For me(and for lot's of people, I guess, considering the amount of "extreme" FR games)it's way too easy so I wanted to increase difficulty for those who like to be challenged. Sidenote: I actually think it should have been made harder

I still hope you give my hack a 2nd chance. I'm always ready for constructive criticsm. If you (or anyone else) got something up your mind, I'll try to assist as good as I can(as mentioned in the description, I'm a student and this game consumed some time which I could have spend otherwise haha ).

If the hack is that awful, how come you still score it a 7.5, a score that would still indicate a good game? That confuses me a little...

Mariobroidiot : Yeah but if this game is turned into a beta version and the creator of the hack remakes it I do think this would be a very good hack. But to release the hack as it is and not have it be a beta to me as a hacker shows laziness even if the excuse is "First hack".

RocketLeader : Your hack has such potential and I enjoyed seeing the potential it could have but seriously you need to understand that you can't constantly go back and change things if it is a finished product unless you rename it a beta. You are honestly letting so many gamers and possible hack fans down by constantly going back and changing things around because that is just NOT how it works! Also you are right I did not play through the hack because I could tell you were incredibly lazy making it and I am horrified that you are allowed to be called a published hacker since you obviously did not put in as much effort as you could have since you think you can just go in and change things when someone complains because you did not work on the hack as much as you should have! I do not mind giving it a second chance as long as you rename this a beta version and put in your 100% effort to make it a complete hack.

deg2000 : Yeah I would not mind giving the hack another chance if it is recalled a beta and when the original is released it is actually finished. I felt like this "hack" was poorly put together just for the creator to get some Viz which if you read above and the creator commented it goes to show how they released this game knowing full well it was incomplete.

OrdannonsX : The hack was in fact awful but it does show a good amount of potential which obviously gives it a higher rating. I broke it all down in my review on why everything is rated as it was and I feel like I did a good job with my rating system since this was not my first review I have written. I do think you are just trolling and as a fellow troll (when you are on the internet and bored sometimes trolling can be fun once in a while) I will respect your trolling and laugh along with you.

tRIUNE : I would ask for you to PLEASE put (Beta) at the end of the game title because I honestly feel terrible as a fellow hacker to see an incomplete game being called a hack. And you know fully well that my hacks when I wanted to go back and change things I had no problem putting (Beta 1.0) in the title so it does not waste player's time.

Deadend136: I'm not trolling, believe me, I'm way past the phase in my life where I feel like wasting my time giving people heck for no reason. I'm not badmouthing you, I'm simply wondering why you'd give a game that high a rating, when it's so 'awful'. If you really feel like you did a good job with your given scores, then perhaps the game isn't so awful at all, and you just didn't express yourself too well in your review. A game which received a 7.5 is by no means awful. A game which is awful, might still have a lot of potential, but that shouldn't really justify giving it a high rating such as a 7.5. I'm not trolling or bashing you, I'm simply mentioning that this is what's confusing me.

I do respect how you're dealing with the feeling of someone trolling you, even though it's a little unnecessary here. No hard feelings.

Deadend136 : Seriously, no offense intended(only in games allowed, not elsewhere), but changing a few Pokemon and Trainers and you call yourself a fellow hacker? I am not an expert hacker like greats as Linkandzelda or zel but I tried to implement everything I know. If you don't change a lot like you do in your little mods, you shouldn't expect bugs since you didn't change the game's mechanics. I played my game at least 3 times through and fixed what I saw and what others told me. This game did consume a lot of my time, I created it for fun(and also for the competition which was needed to keep the "fire"). Calling me lazy while (honestly)you can't backup your words is not that nice...at least where I live.
And no, this is no Beta. Because it is in fact complete. Since you didn't play very far, I don't expect you to see that. I don't care about the viz, it's the game I'm interested at.

I added this game for RocketLeader with the knowledge that it was complete, and not a beta. Therefor I wouldn't rename it as a beta if it isn't a beta.

OrdannonsX : 7.5 is a reasonably high score for a game and I agree with you completely. If this reviewer thought the game was "AWFUL," then he gave a much too high score.
