UFC : I do martial arts (granted, not professionally) and I don't think it's manly at all. Resorting to fighting in the real world is the opposite of manly, it's rather childish and it just means you aren't mature. I would say that the manliest thing one can do is own up to your responsibilities and if you mess up, don't make excuses. Admit you messed up and take the consequences without complaining. Being a man is often what people would consider to be not manly. Being a man is realizing you don't always have to be this ideal of a really manly man guy. I've heard girls say that the manliest thing a guy can do is cry. To be able to be so okay with yourself to expose your weakness and let someone else help you. To be a man, is to not worry about being a man.

And judging by your name you should know what that means. Being able to beat anyone else in the ring isn't the definition of being manlier than they are. That would mean the definition of manly is being able to beat people up and that's just wrong.

Akido is useless, krav maga is useless, kung fu is flashy but not good for self defense. Muay Thai, Boxing, Sambo, BJJ, Wrestling, Judo, TKD (to an extent) are the real self defense arts if anyone is being serious. And yes being floyd mayweather, ali, tyson, GSP, weidman, velasquez is about as manly as you can get I would like to see you properly argue that.

I think the manliest thing you can do is probably martial arts and take self defense classes and stuff of that nature along with what chewedmint said, being able to admit when you are wrong and to do the right thing is perhaps the most honest and manliest thing you can do, along with taking care of and supporting your family. So many men leave their children or divorce before there children are old enough to remember them, so being able to take care of your family and know the difference between right and wrong is the manliest thing you can do in my opinion.

But seriously, the definition of "manly" is very subjective. For me, it's looking out for the well being of others. One of the manliest things anyone can ever do is stop someone else from being bullied by taking a stand for that person, even if you don't know them.

well I'd have to say the manliest thing a person can do is stare death in the face and laugh. It doesn't seem like that big a feat but when actually faced with death most people can't help but s*** brix and cry for their mommy. If anyone where to have a gun to their head and laugh in the face of the person holding the gun I would have to say they are the manliest person alive, that or they're just crazy.
