As i am Typing this inside my wordpad document, i'm Recalling how much this game makes me...happy. And That happiness is actually medicinal; It helped me sleep Far better then when i was in a neutral mood. You see, My dad is rather unhappy most of this time, And his moods affect me. I have no idea why though. But This game completely negates the affects of his moods towards me. Honestly, I would consider it to mildly be an anti-depressant. This game is like no other legend of zelda game out there. Usually Legend of zelda games are rather serious and somewhat dark. But this has a pleasant, soothing aura around it's contents. Such as the amazing graphics, Storyline, Music, Etc. And what i found interesting was that this game has alot of stuff from other titles that are hard to find. Such as the so called "Dr.Left" Who looks exactly like Dr.Wright from SimCity64. And the mini boss music, It may sound a lot like the mini boss music from The legend of zelda Ocarina of time, But really it's from Zelda no Densetsu, Link no bouken. For the Family computor also known as the "Famicom" Which was Before the Nintendo Entertainment System or days. It still had NES games, But a lot was different about then differing from the american releases. Now you may have noticed, The layout of the overworld is very close to the one in A link to the past, For the Super nintendo. It also shares some of the music from that such as dark world and farewell king hyrule. Anyways..
Graphics: 9. The graphics are Very in-depth and smooth, Somewhat Bright. Which i can fully appreciate Because i usually play darker games such as Magi nation and Resident evil 4. The sprites are magnificent but Honestly i don't really think they could do any better. If they would try to remake it with better graphics i feel that it may not go over very well. Maybe if they made it for DS or something, Otherwise it would Most likely be a train wreck. Like Ocarina of time 3D.. But that's just my opinion.
Sound: 9. The sound is very very good. Most of them sound like the ones in majora's mask, Such as that old guy at the start of the game in the castle, It uses the sound affect for the postman from majora's mask, And most of link's sound affects sound like the ones in majora's mask too. Overall I think it turned out pretty well. Although i don't hear Mutoh make that obnoxious sound like from Ocarina of time and majora's mask. Which is really dissapointing because it's rather funny.
Music: 8. As mentioned above, The mini boss music in this game is exactly like the cave theme from Link no bouken. It is not present in the NES version, Meaning this game is pieced together from a variety of titles. Some from A link to the past, Others from Ocarina of time and Link no bouken. But i think it's a great way to experience the music from titles that were not released outside of japan. My favorite is the starting music, which is the ending music for Ocarina of time.
Story: 8. The story is rather interesting. Great evils walk the land, Then the Minish offer the hero a sword, Which he uses to vanquish the evil and return home. But new evil walks the land.. A deranged apprentice wizard who craves power... The force which is hidden about the land.. Honestly, I think it's awesome.
Depth: 10. Collecting heart pieces, bottles, Fusing kinstones to find new things.. Side quests side quests side quests... So much to offer, High replay value.
Difficulty: 8. It's fairly hard, Which is good. I look for very hard games to play. I mean, it's not as hard as majora's mask, But it is rather confusing in some spots. You may need to finish a puzzle, Or fuse kinstones with someone or something. Rather hard to know Who or what to fuse with, And the puzzles are difficult. You will Enjoy the confusing and fun puzzles in this game.
Addictiveness: 10. Highly addictive. You could spend hours and hours playing this.. Day in and day out. In fact, i'm still playing this. Not to mention chopping little snakes and animals with a big sword and shooting them in the head with an arrow is rather fun. Or blowing them up with a bomb or two. So many ways to enjoy beating the snot out of snails and birds Etc. You'll have a great time with this piece of awesome pie. But that is just the appetizer, As you can run about grabbing chickens for someone, Or just dig down dig Around looking for kinstones. Which i love finding people to fuse kinstones with.
Overall: 10. Simply superb game with great graphics, extremely in-depth storyline, Highly addictive, And just plain beast. The legend of zelda, the minish cap is a site to behold as the power of the Game boy advance entrances you with the stunning gameplay. Have fun, and don't forget to fuse kinstones with everyone.
