The starting chapter for in my opinion one of the best Megaman games that has come out in a while. Megaman Zero really brought some fresh new creative bosses and characters to the Megaman universe. The game taks place in the distant future after the events that took place in the Megaman X saga. In Megaman Zero, Neo Arcadia was once thought to be the beacon of hope for repliods and humans to co-exist but with the energy crisis the humans and repliods of Neo Arcadia are now at war and it seems like the only one with a solution to end the war and energy crisis is a scientist named Ceil. Ceil believes she can save the world from the energy crisis and end the war by using her new energy system called the Ceil system. In Megaman Zero you will face many enemies defending Ceil and the rest of resistance against the ruler of Neo Arcadia, Master X and his underling reploids and the four legendary guardians.

The graphics seen in Megaman Zero are phenomenal and are in stunning quality and detail. Every detail in the stages(both the obvious detail that sticks out to the minor detail) seen in Megaman Zero are descriptive and the pixel resolution is by far the best I have ever seen from a game boy advanced game. The cut scenes seen/experienced in Megaman Zero are in fairly decent resolution you can make out the characters clearly but there is a thick black outline on the characters in the cut scenes, but during game play the black line is thin and clean cut and barely noticeable.Objects in Megaman Zero are outlined for the most part in the overall color they are suppose to be so the outlines of objects blend in with the objects themselves so the lines aren't noticeable.

The sound heard in Megaman Zero's gameplay is flawless, over flowing in quality and clarity in it's acoustics. Every action you do in Megaman Zero has a sound, like for example if I shot a enemy and if it losses all its health it makes a small explosion noise like a mini boom that can be heard quite well. Also if I use the z saber which is a blade when you use it, it makes a quick like fast sounding hsss noise. In addition Zero as well as enemies in the game make their own and unique sound when they get injured and or explode when they are killed.

To me Megaman Zero is by far one of the best spin off Megaman games in the Megaman franchise, where the story both captivates and entertains the gamer and fans of the franchise. What also adds to the addictiveness of Megaman Zero is the fact that its a all new story revolved around the more popular character Zero and his journey, and the enemies in the game are both creative and a challenge to beat. In addition I was addicted to Megaman Zero because the game gave me the appeal and realism that I am the reawakened legendary repliod Zero, fighting against all odds to bring down the ruler of Neo Arcadia, Mater X.

Ceil a scientist working desperately on solving the energy crisis of Neo Arcadia thinks she has found the answer in a far of jungle but little does she know Master X's army was in close pursuit of her and the resistance the whole time. Master X's forces corner Ceil off in a deep part of this jungle in Neo Arcadia were she has unearthed the long un-disturbed resting place of the legendary repliod Zero and in a live or die dire situation she uses her cyber elf to awaken the legendary reploid Zero. Zero upon awaking doesn't remember a thing about himself or his past all he knows is this scientist has unearthed and awakened him and she is in dire need of his help to get her out of this situation she is in where a large number of repliods are coming to possibly kill her. So after Zero kills off all the repliods attacking Ceil and him, Zero takes Ceil back to her Resistance base and asks Zero will he help her and the rest of the Resistance fight the good fight and stand up to Master X's rule over Neo Arcadia. After that Ceil gives Zero a large some of mission options to reduce the enemies numbers and to overall cripple the enemies power and hold over Neo Arcadia and the people both human and reploids that live there.

There is plenty of things to do in Megaman Zero, you can collect cyber elf's which ultimately help you out in battle because each cyber elf has it's own unique ability, and there are also sub games you can do aside from main game play, but you can only do sub games after you beat the main game. In Megaman Zero there are plenty of missions to do but beware if you lose on some missions you can't redo them, and overall I think there are anywhere from 20-40 missions in the entire game. The stages and level designs are long and lengthy with plenty of depth to them and the stages take a fair amount of time to get through them as well and the boss battles are pretty long themselves.

Megaman Zero scored very high in the difficulty category because the boss have a preset plan/motion of attack and the patterns to which they attack in are very difficult to recognize and figure out a way to get around there hardened defense so that way you can beat them. The games A.I. is astonishing, the enemies movements are very complex and organized and I for one found my self using screen/save slots to analyze there movements and point out vulnerabilities to time perfectly when to attack them and be on the defense myself.

Overall Megaman Zero is by far the best spin off series in the Megaman franchise. Megaman Zero's story and plot structure flows perfectly and really captivates the gamer into the story and gives them the sense that they are Zero. The graphics are as clean cut as it comes and the games sound quality is phenomenal you can hear characters voices as well as the sound track clear in perfect quality. The game is just the right size to create a satisfying story with plenty of depth with just enough story to stay interested in the game. Although the game is difficult with the right amount of time and determination you can easily over come enemies and its a blast to do so. Overall I recommend Megaman Zero to any fan of the Megaman Zero franchise, especially if you are looking for a Megaman game with a genius well put together story with plenty of action and just enough dialog and really if you are looking for a fresh start on a popular character in the franchise with its own captivating story and unique and interesting characters.

Good job on this review, it is very lengthy and detailed which I think is awesome and one of the key features to a good review so I am glad you made it like that.

You broke it down nicely and you explained everything in depth. You put in a lot of effort and detail into making this a good review which is indicated by the word count. I think you did a fantastic job with discussing this game and going into depth with it. You also put a generous amount of stuff to say for each category of the game because some people spill a whole lot into one category and they get very vague with the others, so I am glad that you are consistent with your review all the way through.

Overall great job and keep up the great work! I look forward to reading your next one!
