I must agree with Mistress regarding the writing. It is much more legible in the second video than the first. 

I honestly didn't know styluses could be so illegible at times. 

One thing I may suggest, just to make it easier on yourself, is to not write every single item you do speak of, but just an adequate sentence so people can get the gist of what you are saying. 

Take 2:48 in your first video. Instead of saying Goal = Isolate the variable , just go with a Goal = Isolate variable, or *Isolate variable, stuff like that.

The example is just gave isn't much of a problem in the first place lol, but regarding other items, when you are talking long about something, and writing it all down, that is also a major contributor for taking up space, and so just summarizing points can help too.

I'm on the opposite side when it comes to your statement about the examples.

The reason why I bought it up on my other post is because to the age group of students she's teaching (especially to the students who don't even care for learning about this subject), 'getting a person you don't like out of your party' seems more interesting than 'getting the scales to even out.' So even if they don't care about learning the material, they can actually relate to the party thing. And since the example of the party thing (to me) is more accurate than the scale thing, her students might unconsciously learn the lesson that is being taught.

As for your preference, I'm a little surprised.... I've tried explaining it to students that way before (the party thing), but I always felt like I was being stupid by explaining it that way.  That's why I started stuttering and hesitating as I made the first video while trying the stylus out.  I just kept thinking "Everyone is going to think I sound like an idiot...."  LOL

It's good to know that my idea isn't a complete flop. XD  I was thinking about going with the scale idea when I make a final video, but maybe now I'll rethink that, depending on other people's opinions.  

Sidewinder : I totally hear you.  I was actually thinking, too, of pre-writing everything on one half of the Paint window, and recording everything on the other hand. This way I can make it smaller and neater, and when I want to insert a phrase or word, I can move to the un-recorded area, copy it, and paste it into the recorded area.  This would mean no awkward long pauses as I write stuff down, I could make sure stuff is written legibly, and I could also re-size my handwriting to gain more working room.  The text, to the viewer, would appear suddenly, but they could always pause the video to copy it down.

Hey Singelli, can you make videos about how to do calculus? In advanced math (We are in seventh grade doing ninth grader work) we are learning the basics to calculus, and calculus is the one thing that scares me more than a link to a porn site. Can you help? It can be in Google hangouts, a video, or a pm.

Not to doubt you yourself, but I HIGHLY doubt you are doing anything close to calculus.... lol You should pm me the name of the school you attend since I probably know it well. (still sooo weird to think of you being so close by. O.o)

As for actually making more videos for my 'series', I kind of lost my motivation. NONE of my students have been watching the graphing videos, so I wonder if I should even waste my time. While it's true that the videos are another 'security' blanket for me when they don't do well.... I don't know that it's worth my time.

Therefore, I'm thinking of simply sticking to requested topics from vizzed members. I'm going to give this some thought this week and see where it goes.
