Hello, I am Sorinkun and this time I am going to review the claasic game developed by Tecmos Japan for NES platform called Double Dragon III The Rosseta Stones.

Graphics
- The graphics of DD3 are pretty good compared to the previous versions. It looks like the arcade version but in 8-bit. Every map is well made to simulate the time of the day; for example the first level, area 2: this area is in the night time wich is observed not only from the sky but from the ground as well! There was put more effort in the China mission; it features an afternoon with the Great Wall in the background and a forest before it. another good example could be the third mission in Japan where is displayed a kind of multi-fortress, very detailed with bamboo stick traps in the second area. Also, this game is the ony one from DD series who features a world map to see where are you going! I gave it a 8 because of Level 4 art; a bit bad, in my opinion...

Sounds
- The sound is above average, in my opinion. The music changes not only from changing the missions but from changing the areas too wich makes this game unique (the previous versions don't feature this)! Now every boss has it's own music theme too wich makes the game more addictive! A last thing I can say; I like how the music is made for every country; the Japanese song from mission three sounds like it is really from Japan wich makes the player to enter in the middle of the action! Now, I will give it a 8 because of the hitting sounds wich are approximately the same.

Gameplay
- The gameplay has a lot to offer! Every enemy has it's own strategy (in the previous versions, the enemies fight the same) and style! Fore example, the bike man, who always uses the kick technique. But there is a acharacter that uses the both punch and kicks, Linda, the girl with purple bottoms. A cool feature about the bosses is that, after you have beat some of them, you can carry and fight with them! For example, Kin Seimei, the China boss or Ranzou, the ninja from Level 3! Also, after beating level three, you receive a continue ability wich helps you if you die on level 4 or 5! The gameplay (addictiveness) receives a 9!

Story
- The story from DD3 is more detailed than the previous versions' stories! The story is about Marion who has kidnapped by the Shadow Warriors where the Lee brothers must bring them the sacred stones! But in the last level, the Lee brothers fight with Marion herself who was posseded by the Noiram queen! While the story is presented, a new "character" appears but it isn't playlable. Its name is Miruko, an old woman who helps the Lee brothers in their quest for finding the sacred stones. A strange thing about this tory is that DD2's story was about the Shadow Warriors who killed Marion; and in DD3, Marion is alive. Anyways, the story gets a 7 because it is a bit short but is the best from the DD series!

Depth
- DD3 features five levels, in U.S.S, in China, in Japan, in Italia and in Egypt. Every mission has areas; for example, the last mission who has the most areas, five areas. It takes something to beat this game alone but it takes less if it is played in co-op mode. Aslo, it offers a mode where those two players can co-op in the game but they must avoid hitting each other! It can be transformed in a VERSUS mode if planned correctly. This category gets a 7 because it hasn't very much things to offer, DD2 could get a higher rating because it has more fighting techniques.

Difficulty
- This game isn't very hard to play but not very easy as well! The fighting techniques are very easy to perform except the "tornado" techniques who can give you some pain if it isn't performed correctly. But if you play in co-op mode, you can perform a technique used only by the partners; it looks like the "wall launcher" but instead of a wall, you use the partner to throw you in enemies. Warning: The enemies can do this technique too! I China, is used the most the "co-op throwing" technique and in Japan level, the ninjas use the most the "wall launcher" technique.

So, this is it! I hope you liked and enjoyed it! Rate if you like!
