I know I have already replied to this before, but I just wanted to add that if we keep on polluting the world the way we are, then we will melt polar landmasses like the poles, then they will melt which will thus increase the sea levels from 2 to 3 meters which is pretty significant if you think about it. That is what most glaceologists will foresee.

I am not surprised about it, I mean we are humans, we are not satisfied until we have destroyed everything. We will just be content in doing that until it results in our own destruction. So if we keep polluting at the rate we are, this will happen sooner than expected.

Overflow of water is massive. Someday, It would just be all water if Global Warming comes or continues.. I'm shocked and worried..

I'm completely shocked when I first heard of it. There would be no world in the future.. Unless they made land out of water.

Different planets far away? Bad choice.. Earth has all the things we need still.. Maybe in a million years? Who knows?

Also pollution. Pollution is horrible! Now I tell you people to stop littering in the ocean or lakes or anything! Those can make water levels rise a little, but A LOT in the future.

Be careful what you are doing..

Well the scary thing about it is that it is growing by the tear. Polar Ice Caps Melting and what not causing the water level to riase each year. Soon it'll be 80% Water and 20% land if we don't do something to stop it.

It is a little shocking of how we all live on land, and only 1% is drinkable. It makes me think that we just wasted a bunch of land having all that sea water. But I am aware of how much we need it.

It's amazing to think about how big the earth really is. I really don't know how we'll be able to solve the problem of climate change melting the poles. We can slow it down by reducing pollution, but how exactly to compensate for the rising sea level?

There are some countries that take sand from the ocean and use it to increase their coastline for profit, maybe similar techniques will be used in the future to create more land for habitation.

I think this is creepy. It's hard to think there is way more water on our earth and so little land.. It is scary to think that eventually one day the water may take over the land in my opinion.

I knew that a long time ago, it one the most basic things you could learn about geography . Anyway, it's probably better because we would never run out of water. Despite most of the water being salty, we could still desalinate it, and we enough land already, so I'm happy with it.

FunnyFurret : I have to say, it's shocking when you think about it and we don't live on every piece of land that's available. Also, the amount of water never changes, so no matter where you would put all that water you would keep the same amount of it.

I thought that global warming died 2 years ago.

But to me? No,it's not really shocking. This is just the remnants of a time when the earth was cooler, the earth wasn't always this cold, producing ice on the north and south pole areas. We know because we've found a lot of (dead) plant life underneath.

The earth just goes in cycles, it's nothing new, but it is a good political vehicle to talk about stuff like Global warming.

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

I knew that already, as I'm sure most people did.

But when I first heard it, I couldn't believe it. I mean, all of the countries we know, the huge mountains, the deep chasms, and all of the interesting landforms we see, only make up a quarter of the planet? And think of all of the hidden caves on the seabed which we have yet to discover.

It's a whole different world down there.
