Yeah, I was going to a Boston Red Sox game, but there was no room on the train, so I had to wait about half an hour to get on a crammed full bus. Fun right.

Tram's-portation.
Dang, I had no idea manhattan had trams.

Its not really an issue here, the local council operate the bus routes and theres usually one overy 10 minutes. Sometimes they can run late but not usually more than 4 minutes so i cant really complain. If im ever that tight for time i just drive instead.
Course that brings up the problem of parking, that is more of a problem...

I was going to a Patriots game, but apparently, the taxi I called never came. I called twice, and no taxi.

Many times locally, where I live, I use the public bus to get places because my dad has the car at his work. The schedule is pretty easy to understand, but the buses still come at different times. Errghh.

My school bus last year was a pain. It was late for the most part, but still got me to school. Sometimes though, he would never show up. I had to walk to school, about 3 miles. Lovely.

I lived in Boston for a few years and I was a mile from work.  I walked almost all the time.  We lived close enough to everything, like grocery, hospital, library, bars, restaurants, parks, and sports and theaters, that we didn't need any public transportation.  We would take a train to the coast on occasion or downtown if we were in a hurry or felt lazy.

The best part was when I was there, Nor'easters would blow in.  These are massive blizzards that dump snow and wreck havoc on public transportation.  We could walk to Celtics games, walk in for next to nothing, and get cheap seats because no one had a way to get into town to watch the game.

It helped and was fun.
