HEYA GUYS now you may know me for my pokemon reviews...no...really...you should see them at least once you know it is awesome month i have been doing it for like 18 days now...yeah everyday...screw it anyway im going to try to give you guys some advice for beating brock so for these im going to look at all the pokemon we can get up to now and see how they would fair against the gyms also i will look at brocks pokemon and finally we are going to gather a team of 6 to dethrone this gyms leader lets not waist anytime

Brocks Pokemon
................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Geodude LV 12

Alright Geodude a classic pokemon now since brock only has 2 pokemon it should not be to much of a problem right....kind of you see he uses all rock types which might be a problem but lets look at geodude this guy is a rock type pokemon

Death the kid: No shi-

Relinquish: piss off kid i cant use profanity on this site

Anyway this guy is a rock type pokemon which means he is going to be well defended but that does not mean it cant be defeated luckily for us this is only gen 1 which means that this guy will only know 2 moves those are Tackle which is going to be a main attack move but still it should not be to much of a problem but lets look at the other pokemons move which is..defense curl...that should not be to much of a problem unless you let it raise its defense to an extreme amount, still i suppose we still need to be on our guard because my guess is that its going to be using tackle ALOT i mean even the ai is not stupid enough to spam defense curl its not that stupid so..not much to say here except this guy should be a cake walk i mean come on just look at it you should have little to no trouble with this guy now lets look at Brocks other pokemon

Onix LV 14

WOAH...okay we...might have a problem here onix is brocks final trump card...and he is going to bring this guy out pretty early because he did not have much to begin with anyway this guy has incredibly strong defense at 160 your going to need some serious power to break through that defense still its health is incredibly low at a suprising 35 so as long as you can get one good major hit on this guy he should be out like a light but still be on guard because this guy has some suprising speed standing at 70 and that is this guys second highest stat so he is not a slow brute like geodude but dont worry guys because only has 3 attacks those are tackle...not to big of a problem screech...pfft and bide-and this is going to be a problem you see bide absorbs all the damage the pokemon has taken(the pokemon still takes damage dont worry) and gives the damage back to the user except the damage is DOUBLED so this might be a problem but dont worry because if your fast enough you can take it out before it can hit you but okay lets find out some weaknesses this guy has 6 and those weaknesses are just waiting to be exploited those are fighting...eh we only have a few pokemon that have fighting type moves at the moment steel...no pokemon is a steel type or has steel moves at the moment ground...same thing as steel...water and if you have a squirtle use that weakness and CRUSH HIM grass...same thing as water and ice...same thing as ground...i am getting freaking lazy today but guys thats all the info i have about his pokemon if you guys got anymore that you would like to say reply to this or just pm me

Pokemon in the area we can use
..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Charmander

Okay if you guys read my pokemon reviews you know i dislike this pokemon and i constantly call it the worst pokemon in gen 1 so even though i dislike this pokemon ALOT i am going to tell you that it is..somewhat effective in gyms but for 2 reasons 1 because of its speed it has the highest speed stat of all starters in the game which i will admit is cool and thats good enough but lets take that even further for those who dont know in gen 1 fire did normal damage to rock and grounds type aka its not...not very effective now thats a little confusing but anyway at level 9 we get ember which is what makes this pokemon somewhat effective in this gym all you have to do is couple that speed with this move since onix has high defense and not special defense also onix has extremely low health so if you quick enough you can 1 hit K.O onix,so all in all this pokemon is somewhat effective in this gym but not nearly effective when you compare it with the other staters

Squirtle

Okay this guy is the second best starter in gen 1-TECHNICALLY AND LOGICALLY...ha now you guys cant gut me like a fish anyway this guy is great for this gym because of bubble which squirtle gets at level 8 and still we get can a better water type move at level 15 which is water gun plus squirtle has high defense anyway so it could survive the onslaught of bide so its great to take in this gym..sorry not much to say here this is gen 1 you know

Bulbasaur

BEST STARTER IN THE GAME-done there i said it i just needed to get that out of the way any how this guy will be the best pokemon to take to this gym because of the move it gets and that is vine whip at level 9 now it is a little slow but it can still hold its own and still if you have a problem you can just use leech seed to slowly but surely get some health back and once again sorry this is so short but thats all you need know and i cant think of any other downsides about this pokemon in this gym anyway

Pikachu

Really i have to do this...your serious...fine i dont really know why i have to tell you guys to not take this thing to this gym i mean its an electric type the polar opposite of rock types...or ground types i dont know the point is this thing is nearly useless i this gym thundershock will do nothing and quick attack will do nothing the only thing this pokemon has going for it is its speed and while that could be useful its still suffering because of its moves its like a samurai with out a blade its pointless sorry

Pidgey

Okay this thing is actually good in this gym why you ask? because once again for those who dont know in gen 1 flying type moves actually did something to rock types nothing super effective but still it could actually do something anyway this pokemon gets even more points because of the fact that its fast and since its so fast you can just outrun geodude and onix and lets keep this going even further none of brocks pokemon have rock type moves...yeah i think we should take this thing

Rattata

Alright you may be thinking that oh a rock type pfft why are you even talking about this relinquish its a normal type how can this thing be effective against brock well i will tell you why...level 14...that is when we get hyper fang a VERY high damaging type move that can even break through onix defense i am serious this thing will take about half of onix health and still it is extremely fast and...thats all i got

Nidoran (male and female)

Okay both of these guys..well one of these guys are going to be effective in gyms because of level 12 aka double kick now that is really the only reason why i consider using this thing in brocks gym other than that i have nothing else to say

Spearow

OKAY i am going to be really lazy here but you guys have to forgive me on this one but everything i have said about pidgey,,,just apply it to here every single thing i have said about that pokemon just apply it to here...forgive me,,

Mankey

Alright mankey is most likely the best pokemon to take in this gym because of its fighting type moves well...in then gen it does not get to many but still at level 9 we get low kick and that will suffice thats all we need to win against brock other than that this guy is pretty fast so that will be effective as well

Weedle

Okay weedle is not that effective in here but beedrill might...just might be effective but your going to have to train weedle and medapod up to level 10 to get this thing but still thats not going to be to good either because ALL of its move up to level 15 in this gen at least are NORMAL AND BUG TYPE and there not even that effective against this guy...i dont like it i really REALLY DONT

Caterpie

All right caterpie is a bit different, okay its the same thing up to level 10 but after that everything changes this thing gets a major boost in all stats and if thats not good enough for you once it evolves we get confusion and that may not seem powerful but its actually the most powerful move in the game up to this point i am not kidding you go do the math

Final Team
............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Squirtle
Pidgey
Rattata
Nidoran
Mankey
Butterfree

Okay this is the final team and now i am here to tell you why this is the final team squirtle is there because it was the best logical choice even more that bulbasaur and thats because it has the best defense plus we have water gun thats going to crush brock completely Pidgey is there for you to use gust and is actually in my opinion is the weakest member of this team rattata is there for you to abuse its speed and spam hyper fang...not much to say except thats what its for nidoran is there for you to spam double kick if you use to for about 2 times thats going to defeat onix...i cant confirm that but it worked for me mankey is there for you to spam low sweep constantly and finally butterfree is there for you to use confusion and i will say this once again it is technically the best move in the game right now
......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Okay those are my tips and tricks for brock...more like a guide but whatever tell if you liked this guys i may do more but it just depends on your feedback and when i feel like it because this is the longest thing i have ever written..well on vizzed at least anyway give me some feedback i would love to here what you guys have to say like if i missed everything or just tell me your own tips and tricks anyway i hope you guys got something out of this see yah

Wow, nice. It's cool that you are doing tips and tricks. I do hope that you are still gonna do them reviews they are awesome

Anyway, in the beginning of Pokémon games, I almost always avoid having a full team already. When I take on Brock, I only have my starter, usually around lvl 18 or 19. The other Pokémon you can get early in the game are weak, and I only train Pokémon that are going to be on my team for usually most of the game.
I choose Charmander at least 95% of the time, but him being lvl 18 or 19 make it easy to beat Brock anyway. However, choosing Squirtle does definitely give me some leeway when it comes to lvling because Squirtle's attacks are Super Effective, and so therefore doesn't need a high level to beat Brock.
