My first scary movie was Boogeyman. Horror film

I believe my first scary movie was " Tales from the Crypt. " I will never watch that movie again. Than again it might not be so scary today since it's really old.

I was in, I think, the fifth grade, and I ended up seeing one of the aliens movies. Wow. That was absolutely horrible. I honestly thought that they were going to come and kill me no matter where I was in the house. I knew that they were works of science fiction, but I could not get the horrifying images of them killing people out of my head. I was scared to even go to the bathroom. I'll be honest, this lasted for a month. I will never watch on of those movies ever again. They even gave me night terrors. It was horrible. I probably would not be scared of them if I saw them today, but still.

I guess my first scary movie was Friday the 13th. I was young when this movie came out and it was one that made me jump. It's pretty tame for today but can still have you jump here an there.

My first scary movie was Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I remember it scaring me so much, I didn't go outside for around 3 weeks after watching the movie. I was like 6 years old, It's a very gory movie, (I mean, there's one part where leatherface, the main villian, cuts off a guys skin and wears it as a mask. Disgusting, I know) and I was just scared of it for months.

It was a zombie movie that I can't remember the name of. I was 8 years old and I was in Primary 4. (No clue what that is in any other country,primary is the first school you go to here) All I remember was a guy getting eaten by zombies and them ripping his intestines and guts and eating it. I was very grossed out by it at first and then it never got to me after a while. It was my first time seeing gore and now I don't have a problem with any type of gore as I am used to it by now.  I can still remember visioning it in my head for the whole day after watching it.  It is quite funny looking back on it.

The first fright flick I ever watched was Childs Play when I was around 6 years old. My parents had told me to go to bed and though I was sound asleep ( I had faked when they came in to check on me ) I then snuck in the kitchen just to were I could see the tv but to were they could not see me. I learn were the term curiosity killed the cat came from that night as this show terrified me and left me with many sleepless nights as a child for many years after. As a adult I have watched and actually like all but the last two installments of the franchise.

My first scary movie was Jumanji. That movie was really scary, and I was young. Or maybe I saw that creepy Goosebumbs movie about that mask. That was scary. Or maybe it was Jurassic Park. Or Gremlins. Or, well there are a few more scary movies I saw before I swore off the whole genre. I still do not watch scary movies.

My first scary movie (or at least what I considered to be scary at the time) was Jaws, not a scary film I know. I was looking for my mum and dad, and I walked into the room and they weren't there. I saw a guy diving on the TV and I thought it was a nature channel, and then the dead guy pops out of the ship. Worst thing is, we had to go to Skegness the next day. I was 4...

He first scary movie that I. Watched was the shining. I watched it when I was 11 years old and it scared the living crap out of me. I mean,a guy with an axe, I wouldn't go into my bathroom for a week. Now at I look back on it, it was a really great movie, just of was too scared to appreciate it.

My first Horror movie was freddy vs jason which i watched at like 3-5 years old and even today i love the movie.

The Thing! The 80's rendition is still a pretty wicked ride, but ten year old me was absolutely blown away by the special effects, the aliens and those crazy death scenes. I remember asking my dad if he could sleep on the couch with me, as I had been having a slumber party with the cats out in the living room during that.

  Night of the Living Dead in 78... It was my first horror flick and still to this day my favorite.

The first scary movie that I can recall watching is Jeepers Creepers. Dude, that movie is scary! The monster literally eats eyeballs and the movie shows the holes where the eyeballs were bitten off.

I guess if you want to know the VERY first one I watched.. I think it would have been Nightmare on Elm Street.  I don't remember watching it at all, but I know my mom let us watch it to scare my twin and I.  It shocks me that she would let us watch it, with how protective she was, so my guess is that she only showed us clips.  Although we were both scared, my mom apparently (I just learned this yesterday) took a picture of us watching it, and my twin looks far, far more terrified. I know it gave her nightmares for years after... the poor thing! haha!

The first one I remember watching though... I think was Saw.or maybe The Ring.  That was around the time I started dating and my mom couldn't control what my boyfriend put in for us to watch.  I learned that I hate them....not because they're scary, but because they are so entirely demented, usually.

Octovan :  Actually, Thing might have been one of my first horror movies!  My dad ADORED that movie and watched it way, way too often.  That movie is permanently etched into my brain. lol
