I wanna know of the games that you guys wish were never made/released for any reason; poor quality, ruined a franchise, story sucked, gave you cancer ... anything really, any reason you feel made you wish it was never made.

Mine would be Sonic '06, mainly cuz its highly unpolished and it hurt Sonics name pretty bad.

I wish that Professor Pac-Man was never made because almost no one wants to play educational video games because they already have school and that game makes Pac-Man look terrible.

Zman757 : Why is no one saying Call of Duty? CALL OF DUTY! The people who play it are pretty crude, life would be a lot more peaceful without the game, and you just shoot people in the game. I miss games that were retro.

PacmanandMariofan : I can agree with you on this. The people who bought that game for their kids were probably mothers who thought their children were under-educated.

I would say Call of Duty as well. Not for the same reason Pixel said because if has very little to do with the peace of our lives. But every Call of Duty game is the same thing over and over, and I am tired of everyone around me being SO obsessed with it. It is just annoying that people don't seem to see that it never changes. Like Pokemon games, but that is a can of worms I won't open.

I partially agree with the CoD series of games, most people that play them are crude and obnoxious but ya get that in most competitive games.    The CoD games are games that people who dont enjoy complicated games can pick up and play, its simple and straight to the point but at the same time offers an objective.  I do agree that CoD is not the best game but when i play it i get some enjoyment from it, its not a disappointin game, the people are. 

Can't believe I'm the first to say this, but Duke Nukem Forever.  Talk about a pile of crap in comparison to the huge wait and expectations that it carried.  That would be like if Half Life 3 was finally made, but sucked.

I agree with Call of Duty, I can't stand it.  Whenever I somehow get in a conversation about video games, everyone just assumes I play call of duty.  "Oh you have a ps3, sweet I bet you play call of duty."  No I would never resort to that level, I have absolutely no interest in playing it.  I want games with heart and soul. 

Holy crap!  cant believe i forgot about that one!  That was a huge let down for me bein a big fan of old school shooters.

Zelda CD-I. It has worst controls and the gameplay is bad. But then again, If it wasn't for Zelda CD-I, there won't be any funny YTP on YouTube.

I wish Pokemon Black and White were never made. They seem to have introduced pokemon that were just lacking imagination and just took the soul out of Pokemon for me.

Well get ready for X and Y cuz they're whippin out the perfume pokemon and the cotton candy pokemon!

"Soul Calibur 5".
Devil May Cry 5. (Or "D.M.C.") The new Character Design of Dante is Horrible. The Plot and Story Look wonderful but the characters are not Dante and Virgil. I did not grace this one based on "Angry Joe" and the "Chaos Theatre". (Not my sole reason for not getting games but they covered enough stuff to make me ditch the idea of trying a copy of the new "D.M.C.")

"Motion Control" Zelda Games. The only way anyone can share this experience with out looking like a retard is to pop up a video online of the gameplay footage and that's it.
No Bringing over buds to the house for show and tell.
No funny conversations like the "Game Grumps" do.
Almost Zero human interaction.

I must admit, I don't see a reason to wish a game were never made. I mean if I don't like it, I don't have to play it, and it'll never affect me that it exists. However, I can see that some of these games that have come out recently have kind of messed with the industry a little bit *cough*CoD*cough*, or maybe if an installment in a series that I liked came out, and was bad, and ruint the series, I could understand that. Other than that, these games that I don't like don't bother me because I never play them.

PixelBrick : I appreciate that you have opinions that are worth listening to on matters like this, and I do agree that CoD is a bit annoying, but only because from what I've seen, they've never really introduced anything new to the series. But hey, then again, look at games like The Legend of Zelda (which I personally love) : You always kill things with a sword (and boomerang, bombs, bow, etc.) you kill monster bosses, you get the Master Sword, you defeat the final boss, you save Zelda. The End.
Mario? You always play as a plumber who goes out and saves a princess (referring specifically to his adventure style games here).
Harvest Moon: You always run a farm, you grow plants, raise animals, you sell things, you buy things, you have a family. Essentially the same stuff.
Basically, every series follows the exact same line, and that's why we like the series. The only reason I don't like Call of Duty is because it's inspired so many other games that are ripoffs of the original. I mean did you see E3? Every game that was Shown for the Xbox One, with exception of maybe one or two, were about shooting or stabbing people. These kinds of games are fun, but this is not all there is to the market, and it seems like the industry has forgotten that. So really, I guess I don't have a problem with call of duty. My problem is with copycat developers that want to make the exact same game that everyone else is making, only replacing the characters and making another slightly altered storyline.

rcarter2 : Lol Very true about the Pokémon games. I use the term "games" loosely, it's more like Pokemon game only updated with new consoles and systems. Even their fans are getting tired of having the exact same game as the last one everytime, only with name and sprite swaps and such. They could really use some updates, but I guess as long as people buy them, they'll keep doing it this way.

I wish Mario Party Advance wasn't made,  That game was just awful and boring.

Personally, I'd have to wish for Bomberman: Act Zero to have never been made. I love the Bomberman series, especially the adventure games on the N64 and GameCube, but I despised Act Zero. Bomberman, the cutesy robot like dude that throws large quantities of explosions, it was cartoony and it was great the way it was. But this game made him into a mechanical cyborg. This obviously failed. The game was awful, the controls, the gameplay, the story was the worst, and it ruined the whole series, and could be one of the reasons why Hudson Soft went under. So they got no redemption, and I'm left in a world without Bomberman, one of the characters I grew up with was turned into a monster and now he's gone forever.


Call of Duty is a fun series, it doesn't deserve all of the hate it gets, besides, isn't the point of a sequel, or a series, to have the same idea, reinvented? Pokemon, Mario, and many other series are massive criminals of this, with as much changing throughout their games as the Call of Duty series. With the violence, it's a video game, it's no big deal. If you don't want the violence, you don't have to play it, but limiting free thought and creativity because of a few elements is not the way to go about it. The people who play the games will still be exactly like that if they didn't play the game, so nothing would change without it. They're good games, but they do get repetitive, as with most other series, as Eirinn has stated.

I just think they can't compete with the previous ones :/ and I also found them too easy
