Mega Man 4 may not have been as much fun to play it's still good ans still keeps the fun gameplay that previous titles had. My biggest complaint with 4 is that the passwords don't save E-tanks and that the music isn't quite up to par with the other games in the series.
Mega Man 4 gets a 7.5/10 (above good, almost great). I would recommend this game to Mega Man fans if they don't already own the game. Price wise 4 goes for about $14 or $16 for the Famicom version. The game can also be played on the Virtual Console and Anniversary Collection for the PS2 and Gamecube.

Graphics
A step above 3's. 4, 5, and 6 all have 4-megs of power! Like I said at the start of this review the intro looks cool.

Music
For some reason 4's music sounds different from the other five NES games. It has a tiny noise and doesn't sound as good as the others. The final stages still have good music.

Addictiveness
Although I don't go back to play this game often it still has the same amount of replay value as past games. You can revisit stages once they're completed so you can get more E-Tanks if needed. Also their are eight final stages with no passwords between them, so make sure you have some extra time to go through all eight stages in one go.

Story
After Wily's demise in Mega Man 3 Dr. Light recives a letter from a russian scientist named Dr. Cossack. In the letter Cossack states that he is the best robot engineer in the world and that he will unleash his robot army as a test to see who is the best inventor. Dr. Light sends Rock to stop Dr. Cossack's robots.

Depth
Although I don't go back to play this game often it still has the same amount of replay value as past games. You can revisit stages once they're completed so you can get more E-Tanks if needed. Also their are eight final stages with no passwords between them, so make sure you have some extra time to go through all eight stages in one go. Again, Doesn't take that long to complete.

Gameplay
The game starts off with a sweet looking intro discussing the events of the first game and how Rock became Mega Man.
The gameplay is still reletivly the same, you're running and shooting robots in stages as you make your way to the robot master. However, starting in 4 you have the ability to charge your mega buster and shoot a more powerful shot. Now I've heard from many reviews of this game that the ability to charge shots makes robot master battles easy and that you might as well not even use the master weapons you get. I tend to disagree with that statement because when ever you play Mega Man 1 or 2 and you just use the regular buster shots on a boss  it does the same amount of damage that a charged shot does in 4. The thing that I don't like about the charge shot is that the noise it makes when charging cuts out a few of the sound channels making the stage music harder to hear. Plus the charge noise gets a little anoying after a while.
Another new addition to the series is Eddie or Flip-Top as some people call him. Eddie can be found in most of the robot master stages and he will give you one of the following items: a 1-up, weapon energy, life energy, or an E-Tank. It's completly random what he drops, although most of the time its something you don't need like weapon energy.
One last new thing before I continue, the final battle in 4 with *SPOILERS* Wily in his capsule form will be use in Mega Mans 4-10 and IV on the Game Boy.

The eight new robot masters you'll be fighting in 4 are:
Bright Man Pharaoh Man Drill Man Ring Man Toad Man Dust ManDive Man Skull Man

The stages have some variability to them like wind that blows you back, a trash compressor section, switches that make platforms appear, etc. In Pharaoh and Dive Man's stage you can find the Wire and Balloon item which are additional assist items along with Rush Coil and Rush Jet. Speakig of Rush Jet, it was downgraded so now you are constantly moving forward rather than being able to move freely.
The their are passwords still, but for some reason this game, 5, and 6 don't save your E-Tanks, which sucks, especially if your new to the game or series.
The AI for Skull Man is a little odd, if you don't touch any of the buttons at the start of the battle Skull Man will just stand their staring at you. He'll start moving once you move or attack.

Difficulty
This was one of the very few NES Mega Man games that is still a little difficult for me. The robot masters seemed a little tougher in this game too, except for Toad Man and Dust Man. The battle with Wily Machine 4 pt. 2 is a pain to fight since it's weakspot is at the very top of the machine and your being shot at constantly.

Funny story i wrote
Megaman, Zero, and X go to high school for a day. Everything's going great until they run into an old troublemaker... RR, please! PG for some robotic violenceinnuendo.

Chapter One - Catching the Bus
Megaman is standing at the front door to Dr. Light's Lab. He has a backpack on, and is visibly upset.
Megaman: Okay, so why do I have to do this again?
Dr. Light: It's an experiment to see how well your AI will integrate with normal teenagers. You are fifteen, after all...
Megaman: I gotta go in as a freshman?! Aw, crap...
Light: Just go with it, Rock. You'll have fun, I promise.
Megaman: I can't even drive there?
Light: It wouldn't be consistent with the role you're trying to play. The bus is your only way to school.
Megaman: Yeah, I guess you're right.
Light: I can drive you...
Megaman: It's okay. You don't have to do that, Doc. You'd probably just end up embarassing me, anyway.
Light: I loved high school, myself.
Megaman: Yeah, I still can't believe you had that beard back then, Doc.
(Shows yearbook pic of Doc)
Light: Heh...I used to sneak food into class with this thing. (Feels at his chin hair again.) Hey, lookee here! (He pulls out a wad of some grey, nondescript meatlike substance. It smells a bit like hardboiled eggs.) It's some of my old cafeteria's salisbury steak! (He sniffs it, gagging slightly.) I think I'll get Roll to dispose of this...you should go ahead, Rock, or you'll miss your bus...
Megaman: Right.
>
At the bus stop, he sees Zero standing there, dressed in plain clothes, trying as best he can to get his huge blonde locks into some semblance of kemptness. X is sitting on the bench nearby, dressed simlilarly, and coughing, it seems.) Hey...Zero? What are you doing here at the bus stop? And a hundred years in the past, for that matter?
Zero : Ah, the writer wanted to put us both in here 'cause he likes us...something about omnipotence over whatever happens to us in his stories or something...some kind of union thing, I guess...
Megaman: Right. Anyway...having a bad hair day?
Zero : (glares) Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep this mane smooth and flowin'? If I were workin' today, I'd just call in sick or something...I'm just not me without my cool hair...
Megaman: (sighs) Anyway...X, you okay? That cough sounds pretty bad.
X: (still coughing violently) Hey...*cough*...hey Rock...*cough*...
Megaman: What the heck's the matter? You got a weird computer-virus stomach flu or somethin'?
X: My...*cough*...my voice...
Megaman: Your voice?
X: Yeah...It's been acting up again...
Megaman: Hey, it'll be okay. High-schoolers half-expect freshmen to still have their squeaky voices, anyway.
Xloudly, shrieking) I DO NOT HAVE A SQUEAKY VOICE!!!!!!
MegamanEyes are wide after X finishes. A window nearby is broken, and Tango now lies dead on the sidewalk) O' course not, X...they all make fun of you for no reason...
X: You're doing it again!
Zero : Shut up over there for a minute, will ya? I can't hear myself think over your blabbing! Why don't you take a few shots of WD-40 for that voice of yours, X? Geeez...
X is infuriated and rushes over, clawing at Zero.Thankfully, Megaman holds him back from the neck of the turtleneck X is wearing. Throwing X finally back onto the bench, Megaman uses Time-Stopper to freeze X in place.
Megaman: Time-Stopper!!
Zero : Funny...I thought you lost all your special weapons after each game. What gives?
Megaman: Ah well, the writer needed some quick way to keep X out of the conversation for awhile. That was the best he could do.
Zero : Oh. Well, anyway, the bus ought to be here any minute... Oh, Lord, does my hair look okay?
Megaman just stares.
Megaman: And you WONDER why people think you and X are gay...
Zero : Alia, I am SO going to kill you for using up all of my quadruple-strength hair gel...
Megaman: Shut up and act natural. Here comes our ticket to a day of hell.
The bus pulls up. Megaman steps on board. Zero follows him closely.
Driver: You gentlemen got fare?
Zero : Great. Exact change, I suppose?
Driver: Yep.
Zero (sighs): Perfect. (Digs in his pockets.) I've got a five-dollar bill, a battery, and a wad of lint. Will that do?
Driver: Where you boys goin'?
Megaman: Ryutaro's High School, ma'am. Other side of town.
Driver: Well, this ain't exact change to get there, but...I'll be willing to let it slide if Red Boy here gives me a smoochie...
Megaman: It can't be worse than having to walk, I guess. Go ahead, Zero. We've got no other way of getting across town.
Zero : Ever heard of a taxi, genius?
Megaman: They're all down this week. Something about Wily's robots having a field day with them all downtown. I should probably be checking that out, but...I guess this is more important to the Doc.
Zero : How 'bout teleportation?
Megaman: We can only go places where we've already been...and I haven't been to the high school, and I'm pretty sure you haven't...
Zero : (grumble)
Driver: So what's it gonna be, boys?
Zero : Um, Rock, can I see you...over HERE...just a second?
Megaman walks over. Zero chokes him around the neck.
Now THIS is for your bright ideas! I AM NOT kissing that woman! She's absolutely hideous! She looks like she could be Frankenstein's grandmother!
Driver: Well?
Megaman: I...have a plan.
Zero : Huh?
Megaman: I know how we can get this bus.
Megaman whispers to Zero. Moments later...
Zero : All right, Ms. Driver. Here. (He stands up, walks up to the driver's seat. Sighs loudly and crosses himself.) Kiss your red boy.
Driver(lunges forward): Hot dang!! I got me a man!
Zero dodges her and pulls the door handle quickly. She falls out of her seat and through the open doors, then continues tumbling out. She rolls until she hits the bench that Megaman froze X on.
Zero : Yee-hah! (Shuts the doors.) We got us a bus!
He drives off, squealing the bus tires.
Time-Stopper finally wears off of X.
Driver: Yahoo! C'mere, handsome!
X: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAIGH!!!!!!!!!!!! (Runs away, the driver chasing him off.)
End Chapter 1.

Tips: Definitely watch your step with this game. Pay attention to where you are going. They say blah blah blah this and blah blah blah that about the maps and to remember where your going, I say this because the maps can be kind of repetitive.

To Defeat Toad Man... Toad Man is easy. I said that above already, didn't I? =) Here's what you do. From the get-go, fire a shot or two from your arm cannon (charge it up while Toad Man does his "stance" to fire a powerful shot right away), and Toad Man will jump over you. Turn around, fire at him, and he'll jump over you the other way. Slide under him, turn around, and fire at him again. Are you starting to get the picture now? If you repeat this process over and over again on Toad Man, not only will he never get the chance to use his Rain Flush on you, but you'll defeat him in no time, substaining no damage from him, and having to do nothing but slide, turn, and fire. It's more about patience with Toad Man then anything else. So do that... be patient.

This is plagiarized and you are not supposed to do that when making a review, just try to put the game in your OWN words and make it detailed and better that way. There is no need to plagiarize and copy and paste for a review, this is a warning, don't do it again because it is against the rules for reviews. Just put things in your own words next time.

That and over half of the review is a story.
Trollzorz1337 : For future reference, you need to leave out anything that doesn't really pertain to the game.

I'll get this post's word count and such ignored.
