On Thursday, June 13th, I'm going to be netplaying in the Retro Game Room for about 8 hours straight. I'll be live streaming it all so that anyone can watch but most of you who will get an opportunity to play with me if you're interested.

I'll probably begin at around 11 AM (central time) and be done at about 7 PM. Basically I'll be creating netplay sessions for various different games that users can join in on. I'm not sure what games I'll be creating sessions on yet but I'll be doing a lot of 4 or 5 player games (like Bomberman). I'll also be doing 2 player games as well, co-op and competitive.

If this goes well, I'll probably do another one of these later in the summer. I'm hoping this will give users a chance to play with me or get to know me who have never had a chance and I'm also hoping that it'll spark more interest in Vizzed netplay.

I'll make an announcement about this a day before it happens so that everyone is informed.

This seems fun. Maybe there can be a reward for users who win games? 

I can't wait I don't think I will be wanting to play along though I rather just watch all eight of those hours.

I'm pretty sure this would be taking place in the middle of the night for me so that sucks. I may be able to take part.

Davideo7 : Is there a reason for it being Thursday? If not can it be moved to the weekend when everyone has more time?

earthwarrior : Sure, I can think of something like that. Maybe I'll find a game I'm really good at and offer a reward to users who can beat me at it. I might break down the 8 hours into segments, like 1 hour of 5 player Bomberman, half hour of competitive Super Mario Kart or Super Sprint for a prize, etc.

Tails the Fox : 11 am is early here, not sure what it translated to there but the fact that it's going on for 8 hours, I would assume one of those hours would be when you're awake.

I'm doing it on a weekday because I'm almost always busy during the weekend. I set aside the weekend to spending time with my family since the site keeps me so busy during the week, I don't get much time to spend with them on weekdays. I picked Thursday because I'll be watching E3 all Monday - Wednesday.

Davideo7 : Sounds great. I'm sure that I can get some games in with you sometime later in the afternoon. Should be a fun event, I'm glad that you are doing something like this!

Tails the Fox :   If the distance from server time on your profile is true, then it would be from 4pm to midnight your time.
I have 8 hours to kill this summer, so I'll be there for a while .

Davideo7 : You had to pick the day I was flying home for a week, didn't ya? XD

I am leaving my room at 5 AM ( that is 11 AM server), to make a 8:00 AM Flight ( 2 PM Server time ) , and land a t 4:45 PM (10:45 PM ). 

Man... I tell you, Hawai'i sucks. XD

thing1 : The live stream will be available to watch on my youtube page after it happens so even if you don't get to watch it live or participate, you'll still be able to skim through what all happened (I'll be live streaming both the chat and the game).

Jordanv78 : Yeah I'm looking forward to it, it'll be fun to set aside a day to do some retro gaming instead of having to worry about working on the site or dealing with other site related issues. I've actually been planning this for quite a few months now, just now finally posting about it.

Davideo7 : You think you can do a huge Halo Reach or Call of Duty, Black Ops 2 tournament on 360 this summer? Preferably on a weekend afternoon?

thing1 : Probably Halo Reach, I don't have those other 2 games. It'd probably be a weekday. Refer to my summons to Tails the Fox for the reason on that.

Davideo7 : Oh, O.K. Actually... Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is one game... just a typo on my part. And not a lot of users have Reach... that is why I suggested COD: BO2
