That One Thing That Irks You In Pokémon?

We all know that there are times that Pokémon make you wish it never existed..

My Question Is: What IS that thing for YOU?

Me, It's Seafoam Islands in Fire Red. Good lord, that thing is annoying!
Setting rocks in places, figuring out the puzzle, finding Articuno.. It may be worth it, oh yes.. But it annoys the Shiznits out of me!

I'd agree with the confusion thing and I'd like to add how I can't stand whenever I use poison sting, smog, fire, etc. (basically any move where it can change the status of my opponent) and it never affects them! However, the first time they use a move on me, my Pokémon gets poisoned, burned, confused, flinches, or falls asleep on me! In Pokémon, the odds are never in my favor.

Oh yeah, I really hate it when my Pokémon falls in love with the opponent, then I never get to hit them. Ack! Darn you Skitty!!!!

I hated Rock Tunnel. It made me either make a perfectly good Pokemon learn the then useless move known as Flash (Which was also an HM at the time... ), or try to go through that labyrinth blind. I went blind about 5 times just so Pikachu wouldn't be forced to learn Flash. Evil cave... '

The status affect Frozen. I HATE being frozen, it's so rare, you never carry Ice heal, and it lasts on FOREVER. I once sat there for 5 hours trying to unthaw my last pokemon. Stupid cryogonal

They say fire types with flash fire and flame body can't get frozen. Well that pokemon was flareon so I highly doubt that. I looked up the chances of sitting there for 5 hours and it's more rare as TWO shinies in 30 pokemon

  • First the fact that if you have to be AT LEAST five levels higher than your rival to beat him the third time you meet him and meeting him after that. That is completely ridiculous.
  • Second is the fact that some of the other trainers have low level Pokémon but they have a high chance of getting a status change on your Pokémon and you have a REALLY low chance to change your opponents Pokémon status. This is the most idiotic thing that Nintendo could have come up with.
  • Third is the gym leaders who have Pokémon who are low level but have INSANE attack and/or defense. This is the most annoying feature in the game because you had to have a Pokémon that was at least eight to ten levels higher than the gym leaders Pokémon.

These are things that make me want to throw my game in the trash sometimes. Honestly these should be changed and I know there are people who agree with me on this matter. Hey Nintendo people! If you read this get to it.

HMs. mostly flash, cut and rock smash.... and whirlpool and defog.

Early in the game these are O.K, but later on they're just an annoyance to deal with because of the terrible damage they do. Rock smash and Cut are used everywhere and I can't forget them. Unless you know about HM slaves, your stuck with 3 move slots later on if you decide to put Cut, Rock smash, or Flash on one of your main pokemon until you find a move deleter, and maybe a move tutor.

The rest of the HMs are fine; they do good damage through out your journey and you'll usually have them often so you won't have to go get another pokemon who knows the required HM.
