I consider my childhood to extend till my high school graduation date.
So most of the games you find here cover my childhood.
That said. I remember Pumping a ton of quarters into many.
I am certain the Arcade Mames are in here.

Star Wars X-wing (Lame, but fun for the time it was made).
Gauntlet (Dungeon Crawler, Time Attack).
Double Dragon 1 (Side Scrolling Brawler).
Aliens (Kinda like Contra but with a little more leg room).
Afterburn (Flight Simulator of sorts with an F-14).
Ninja Spirit (Complicated and hard Ninja game. Lots of fun).
Strider (Hard Ninja Game. Side scrolling impossible mission).
Narc (Side Scrolling Shooting. Cops Vs Criminals).

???????? (Can't remember the name. It was a red hover car/speeder with a cannon mounted on top. The Graphics are the same as Star Fox and the game is like a racing game, But it stresses Time Attack. The Tracks allowed you to ride the walls and the ceiling. The more Flashing rectangles you ran over when playing, the faster you went. You could remove obsticals with the cannon but if you hit an obstical you lost a piece of your car/ship/speeder. Loads of fun).

RoboCop (Arcade machine. Not the N.E.S. flop).
3 Wonders (Just type in 3 wonders and thank me).
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (Side scrolling Brawler).
X-Men (Side Scrolling Brawler).
Final Fight 1 (Side Scrolling Brawler).
Street Fighter 2 (No need to explain this one).
Aliens Vs Predator (Side Scrolling Brawler).
Mortal Kombat 1 (No need to explain this one).
Samurai Showdown 1 (There Should Be No Need To Explain This One.)
Area 51 ( Shoot-em-up. Light-Gun-Game).

I am not 100% certain of the order they were released, but I jammed to these quite often.
I would list more (like give a round number amount), But I think this is enough to get anyone started on an Idea.

My favorite video game was the original Star Fox for Nintendo. It's really fun and I used to play it all the time. Its a great game and I was happy when they made Star Fox 64.

I would have to say Zelda: A Link to the Past for SNES

My favorite game as a child would have to be Pokémon, Spryo, or legend of zelda

The first serious video game console I got was a Genesis. I thought Sonic 2 was hard, but Sonic 3&Knuckles rocked! It was colourful, it had a reasonable difficulty level and many challenges (getting 14 continues, high score, etc.)
But the best is probably Shining Force II. An excellent soundtrack, many hidden characters and promotions and the possibility of having immortal priests/master monks

In my childhood, my favorite video game is Bomberman Hero. It was an extrordinary game, and I really had fun with it. It was actually the only platformer I've played besides Mario and Sonic.

My favorite games from my childhood was Smackdown Vs Raw, Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2, Nicktoons Unite, Smackdown Here Comes The Pain, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and Madden.  I had so much fun with all of those games.

In my early childhood the choice is clear, Mario led the leader board as my favorite game.
However this was before I discovered Final Fantasy 7, in my teen years.
From that moment on FF7 was and still is to this day my favorite game of all time.
Thou I am still a big fan of the Mario series of games

My favorite video game as a child was Super Mario World.

My favorite game was Super Mario 64 and Sonic the hedgehog. I loved those titles.

I can't quite remember. I think it might've been The Wind Waker for GameCube. All I know is that it was a GameCube game.

When I was young I played a lot of Super Castlevania IV, Crash Bandicoot, and Pokemon Blue.

i played some old game boy colour game that's called dexster's laboratory (from cartoon network)
this game was really amazing with all short of puzzle mazes with elevators etc ha haxD but i must say that Pokémon silver was one of my most favorite games i ever played in my childhood.
i loved Pokémon as the anime. I even watched in on the bed of my parents with my little sister and my parents in bed that was so cool hahaxD
before these 2 games i didn't have any kind of console.. I used to play. ALOT in the sand (play grounds) building castles and other kind of sand alike things. I also found a lot of cash during playing hahaxD
as what i remember my favorite game when i first played game boy advance games would be medabots AX. This version was so amazing. And the consoles where easy (i tried it her on vizzed but i find it really difficult to play it on the computer)
my second would be Pokémon ruby. I litterly played that game till breaking xD...
i lose the game chip.. To bad.. I really liked it.. I think it also had a pretty high value since of all the hard work i put in to it. I had 16 EV trained Pokémon's of lv 100.. Even Pokémon with abilities that were almost impossible.
i had a pincer that was a fifth generation of raised other pincers( by breeding)
and it had 416 attack...
and a armaldo that was a eight generation of also breed ed and trained armaldo. Which had 405 attack.
raising Pokémon was always my hobby while playing Pokémon. I didn't even give a shizzle about finishing the game unless i had a great team of good raised Pokémon's haha xD

My favorite games from my childhood would have to be, Super Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and the Resident Evil games. I played many games during my childhood but these listed happen to make up the ones I played often.

Well the earliest console I used was a Sega Genesis, however I don't remember much from those gaming days, it'd have to be from the Game boy color and N64. Particularly the Pokémon games. Red, Blue, and Stadium. As far as modern games go I really like Alan wake.

Well my favourite childhood game was Sonic 2 and it's still my favourite game now!.. I used to own a Super Nintendo and a Sega Genesis so I used to love super Mario world.  and starfox as well.. 

Apart from those three games I can't really remember much else.. My memory is really bad these days..
