In the honor of this being my last thread on the Wii U and the millionth time of me saying this, when a console comes out what people are looking for are the marios, Zeldas, super smash brothers, and metroids. Super Mario brothers Wii was a fun game that I'm sure we all enjoyed. And we have also been given super Mario brothers Wii U which I'm also sure is a fun game. But will that be all? Ever since super Mario 64 we have hungered for those 3D single player super Mario games, 64, sunshine, and galaxy were all very fun games. But now that they have seen the success of the four player support super Mario brothers Wii (And yeah, I will admit to having once played it for 7 hours straight with some friends) I wonder if they are planning for a single player Mario. There is no new Mario on the Wii U's upcoming games list, and I'm not sure there will be. Off course they are going to flood us with Mario games as is normal with a Nintendo console, but I don't think we are going to see a single player Mario for a couple of years. Yeah, I could be wrong, it is a Nintendo console, but I think Nintendo is more than likely to continue with the our player super Mario brothers games.

I would like to see another super Mario on the wii u. There is already New super Mario bros u out in the us. ( I don't know where you live ) but if they do make another I want something new. Not a regular side scrolling or maybe a Mario galaxy.

Local Mods : Sorry to bother you again. Can you please move this to the Mario forum. Thanks

I can say very confidently that there will be at least one more Super Mario game one the Wii U. Maybe two, if we're lucky. I'm kind of hoping for a Mario Galaxy. That would look amazing on the Wii U in HD. I would like to see if they can make a two player co-op game. Like what they wanted Super Mario 64 to be. They could be able to do that with the game pad, so that could be very interesting.

patar4097 : That is exactly what I was thinking. The two player mode in the first galaxy game was a joke.

ender44 : Sorry for the sandwich post, but the 2 player mode in the second was just as bad. Really the only differences were that in the second, you couldn't make Mario or Luigi jump, and you are a star instead of being nothing. A two player mode could be a big money maker for Nintendo. As long as they don't rush it through production.

patar4097: I never got a chance to really play the second. And sandwich posting is fine with me, if you have an opinion, say it.

I've played Super Mario Bros Wii U, and I think it's alright. Kind of a carbon copy of NSMBW in a few ways, but still throws in its own original content.

Out of everything in the game, there were two things I truly loved about it:

SPEEDRUN CHALLENGES - Oh my Haruhi, this was by far the best thing Nintendo has thrown into ANY of their games in a LONG time! It's actually REALLY fun, and sometimes, even slightly difficult, especially with Boo Ballet or whatever.

Baby Yoshi - Yeah, these aren't THAT revolutionary or anything. In fact, it actually messes up the whole Yoshi cycle if anything. Yoshis are hatched all grown up and everything, so I don't get the whole purpose of having BABY Yoshis. But, I will say, I LOVE how their noises go along with the music playing in the background, for example:

But other than that, I really felt they didn't have much originality to throw into this game, Nya~.

Actually, the baby Yoshis were from Super Mario World. In fact, the image on the video looks like it's a graphical update on one of the Star Worlds from SMW.

Oh, but yeah, I was called to move a thread. So yeah,
