Tonight's the night all of us college football fans have been waiting for!! Notre Dame VS Alabama only about 8 hours away! Lets here from some posters about predictions, strategy and the food you'll be enjoying while you watch the game!!  

In an earlier thread I said I couldn't make a prediction BUT I'm going with Alabama and this is why; McAaron, everyones talking about the running game of bama and the SEC so  big and powerful and strong upfront. I think Saban is going to use that to his advantage and go against the grain and let his experienced QB air it out, I think ND will have trouble with Cooper at WR and he gets player of the game with 140 yards and 2 TD's thats my prediction I look forward to seeing ya'lls!

panther1 : Can't wait! Only 7hrs and 40mins! I'm gonna disagree with you though, I don't think 'bama can win tonight. I really can't see them winning, I mean they had trouble with LSU. I think the ND defense is just too much, and without a running game, Alabama won't be able to do very much. I think the winner is the team with the best running game, and I don't think Alabama is that team. It'll be interesting to see the outcome though! I'll hopefully be eating pizza, kinda a tradition.
Edit: I think the score will be around 31-28, for ND

Nice pizza does sound good..wings is my thing bbq and buffalo...That will be a tough one to see who has the better running game...both teams have 2 players that are threats running the ball ND with golston and wood and bama with yeldon and lacy...i just think mcaaron will make those big plays to cooper and that will be the difference ND struggled against pittsburg but also played some really good competition and laid an impressive beat down on OK IDK i think its a tight game im going to stick with the SEC winning the 7th national championship (how crazy would that be) Im gona say the score will be 24-21 BAMA

Should be an interesting game. Although I am not a fan of either team I like the matchup.

I'm rooting for ND just because it's been so long since they played for the National Championship.

I have the feeling ND defense will show up to play and hold Alabama at a decent level. I think where ND will struggle is on the offensive end scoring enough points to keep up with a team like Alabama on a stage as big as this. Who knows though, maybe they will surprise me.

If you are an Auburn fan I would think that you would want BAMA to lose!! Haha interesting picks seems like a lot are going with Bama and it's hard to disagree they've just got so much experience being there.

well ND just got shafted on that punt, bama hit a good PA pass to start the game and then ran it good, doesn't look good so far for the irish , but lets see if they get their footing

The rout is on! Its 28-0 and Alabama gets a huge pick to start the second half AND another ND D-lineman goes down! Not good at all. Not a shred of hope for ND now. I'll be surprised if Golston doesn't get pulled...ouch!

Well it's kinda sad that the game wasn't more competitive. Unfortunatly they just couldn't keep up on the offensive end (which is pretty much what I predicted) but I didn't think they would be shut out. I'm glad that I haven't wasted any time watching it.

Yeah I heard them talking about that 2, did anyone else catch McAaron and his center getting into it up 35 points? haha what a competitive bunch of guys they definitely deserved the victory they got they were defiantly the better team! Good season by Notre Dame you have to believe they will have a better team next year. 

I really would of liked to see Texas A&M rematch with 'Bama you can only imagine how good they are they blew out their bowl opponent and beat 'Bama in the regular season...and they had no chance of playing for the championship. I can't wait till the playoff system gets extended but its good we at least have a 4 team playoff in affect soon.
