Mega Man 2 is, and will always be my favorite Mega Man game in the whole series. It made several innovations while remaining fun and addicting like its predecessor.

GAMEPLAY A-: The game is entertaining and fun. Like the previous game you can pick what level you want to play, and this time there's 8 robots to fight. Each robot has a big, well designed, level. There are more unique enemies this time around, and it is really satisfying to destroy them. That's not all I have to praise for the gameplay, the controls are tight, responsive, and are easy to use. However it would have been nice if you can switch weapons on the fly. That would have made switching weapons quicker and easier. Mega Man 2 has aged quite well compared to the later Mega Man titles. If you liked the first one you are sure to love this one.

GRAPHICS B+: I have seen better graphics on the NES, but Mega Man 2 still pushes the hardware pretty far. The levels are more detailed then the previous games levels. The sprites are more colorful. Mega Man looks the same but the game itself has a whole new look and feel to it that just could not be beaten by the later titles.

SOUND A: All five sound channels on the NES are put to work in this great sounding game. The music is catchy and memorable and the sound effects are put to good use. No matter how much more sophisticated the music got over the years I still will appreciate the music in this game.

ADDICTIVENESS A+: This game is so fun, I could play it over and over again. There's not much to say. If you like platformers or any video game for that matter. You are going to really enjoy this game.

DEPTH B+: There are 8 robot masters to fight and some levels for Dr. Wilys base. Once you defeat a robot master. You get their weapon like in all the Mega Man games. However in this game the weapons feel more original and useful. The game believe it or not is kind of large. So a password save system is offered.

DIFFICULTY MEDIUM HARD: There are a lot of cliffs to fall off of, but the game is easier then the first Mega Man. There are energy tanks that you can use to re-heal yourself. That can come in handy during a brutal boss fight.

Pretty Good review, as usual.

Mega Man 2 is definitely one of the best games of the Franchise. It was fun and entertaining, I never get bored of it.
