Whether it be for the ability you receive afterwards, the concept of the robot master,or just because they are a joy, which of these robot masters do you prefer. Me, I like Metal Man the most, because of the weapon you receive that damages even Metal Man, the battle with him is really fun, and I really dig his appearance.

Heat Man.

Not because of his stage or weapon... Mainly because of the music that the same has, and the shape of his body: Like a Zippo. 

He looks quite funny and cool (but funny the most) at the same time in my opinion.

Lets take a look at each of the robot masters shall we?
Metal Man is a ridiculously easy robot master. His stage theme is good and he himself is fun to fight. Although once you get his weapon, he's an absolute disgrace, considering you can kill him with one or two hits (depending on the mode). His weapon is probably the most broken of them all considering that it shoots in 8 directions and has A LOT of ammo.
Flash Man is another easy boss. All he does is freeze you  and shoot a few shots at you. And he gives you A LOT of time to kill him off when attacking. His stage is fun and his weapon is...meh. Its cool that you can freeze stuff n all but there are better weapons out there.
Crash Man is a cool robot master. He has a good stage and his weapon is very powerful. if it wasn't for the fact that it only had 7 ammo it'd probably be my second favorite weapon. He himself is one of the harder bosses but still fairly easy (unless you didnt beat Airman yet. If thats the case the fight is MUCH harder).
Heat Man is almost as pathetically easy as Metal Man. Other than the fireballs he throws in the air, he really has nothing to harm you. His dashing is so slow that you could probably dodge him half asleep lol. His weapon is terrible though. For one, you have to charge it and fully charged it can only be used twice. I would like it almost as much as an overpowered Crash Bomb (like in Rockman Exile).
Bubble Man, believe it or not, I would classify as a harder boss only if you want to go no damage. His stage does present many ways to die including jumping frogs and instant death spikes. He himself throws many attacks at you as well. His weapon isn't all that good but it is really useful in finding hidden paths that couls help or kill you *coughWilyStage4cough*.
Wood Man...I don't know. His shield is bad because you cant move if you dont want it to fly away (they did a good job improving that in Mega Man 4), he himself can be pretty annoying going no damage, and his stage has way too many bats and bunnies for my liking. Nonetheless, I enjoy fighting his hot dogs (please don't make a pun, thats what they're actually called), and his stage music is pretty good.
Air Man...nothing to say. I just dont find much interesting about him sorry.

Plus his stage music was a little bizzaro.

I am waiting for the H.D. set to come out and show case him in a "trench coat".

It just seemed that for a minute the rules were going to be broken when you saw that name, entered the stage, and heard the music.

By the time you got to the door or gate you had no idea what to expect.

Favorite Robot Master? Well, I have to go with Crash Man. Just because I found the back story and concept of him pretty cool. Wily made him using the designs of both Bomb Man and Guts Man as a base. So it's kinda interesting to see what happens when Wily tries to use two Robot Masters together.. Plus it's the first in the long line of Guts Man inspired robots Wily ended up making.. You really gotta wonder why Wily adores Guts Man so much.
