Are there any kind of restaurants that you would love to have in your area but you don't? It can be a sit down place or a fast food joint. Just has to be a restaurant.

Mine would have to be either Popeye's or Long John Silver's. I don't have either in my area. And the ones that are in the county I live in are really far away and we don't have enough gas to drive all the way out there to buy food. Don't get me wrong, I would love to get food from there but I'm not going to waste gas and money just to drive really far to go to a place I want to get food from.

What are you favorite restaurants that are not in your area?

SunflowerGaming : Oh, I definitely want a Popeye's here... the commercials on TV make their food look so good... (but don't they all)

I also REALLY want a Chili's. I just HAVE to try their famous baby back ribs. I dunno if I'll ever get the opportunity though because I've never so much as seen a Chili's. At least I've seen Popeye's restaurants before...

Ruby Tuesday's might be nice to have in my area as well. I hear their food is pretty good.

Last, I'd like a Golden Coral. The chocolate waterfall is enough reason, but now they added cotton candy too??? And I'm crazy enough to actually try and dip the cotton candy in the chocolate waterfall even though all logic says that's a terrible idea.

Oh, oh, oh, I SOOOOOOOO wish a Dixie Lee's was nearby. KFC can go lick a turkey wing; Dixie Lee's chicken was the best HANDS DOWN!

And the fries.. they were literally out of this world that we know as Earth and...




...nobody even knows what Dixie Lee is, do they?

Crazy Li : Yeah, we had a Ruby Tuesday here but it closed because the other restaurants it was by did a lot better in getting customers. We have a Chili's and Denny's near me. The Denny is in a few towns away but it's close enough to drive to.

I also love Carrow's. That's a bit far but if we really want to go then it's not too far to drive to.

I would love to have a Golden Corral here. They're food looks SO good. We have a hometown Buffet but even that's pretty far to get to. So we tend to stick to the restaurants we have in town.

Oldschool41 : I really love going to Olive Garden. Especially for the unlimited soup, salad and bread sticks. My other favorite place is LaBou. It's a health food type of place. And the best sub sandwich place we have here is called Beach Hut Deli.

A restaurant that I want to be in my local area is a fu noodle restaurant. I really like to fu, but my mom only make it on special occasion. So I want to go to the restaurant when I want some fu.

Sairek Ceareste : No idea what Dixie Lee is but it reminds me of Roy Rogers... I miss Roy Rogers....

SunflowerGaming : The Hometown here is within walking distance. It's a decent buffet... definitely better than any of the small, local ones... but I think it could be better. I'm curious how Golden Corral compares.

Oldschool41 : Olive Garden is so good... one of my favorite restaurants. I'm glad there's one in my city (less than a 5 minute drive away). I don't care what Conan O'Brien says, it's a great place to eat.

Crazy Li : We rarely get to go to Hometwon Buffet because of how far it is from where I live and in the area it's at, the traffic gets really bad. It just wastes time and money trying to go there.

I guess the one place I'd really like to have in my hometown is Biddles. You've probably never heard of it, because there's only one, it's in Fort Myers, Fl, and even if you've ever been there, I would seriously doubt any of you have eaten at this place. Kage and I went there once and it ended up being a $120 meal for the two of us. It was so delicious, and the live entertainment was tops. I'd love to go again, but it's just too far away from us.

I just want an IHOP again. ='( My hometown as far as restaurants go only has a Perkins and an Applebees. I'd love to have a Chili's or a Ruby Tuesdays. Ruby Tuesdays is kinda spendy but it's so damn good.

You guys are making me hungry just hearing about all the good restaurants. We have a lot of Chinese restaurants in the town we live in. We also have an IHOP. IHOP is my favorite place to go if I can't afford to spend too much and they have an excellent menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I remember one time we went to a really expensive place, where we live, and they actually had really good food and portioned it well. It wasn't like paying a lot of money and getting very small portions. The only time I've come across that problem was when I was in San Francisco. The restaurants there are really over priced and you get small amount for the food you're buying. It's ridiculous.



I love that we have Chinese restaurants here, but we have enough and it seems like they keep opening those when they should be trying to give us some new places to eat at. It's sometimes frustrating. It seems the ethnic communities are more so around here than the classic american restaurants. Don't get me wrong, I love being able to have ethnic food but sometimes I prefer good old american dishes.



Has anyone ever heard Mel's Diner? I'd say that is the second best restaurant below IHOP. Carrows is about on the same level as Mel's Diner, so they're kind of tied, just we have to drive pretty far just to go there. Which sometimes stinks because I love that place.



We also have TONS of pizza places here. Which is actually good because then we can get pizza really cheap. My town is good for people who can't afford much. Only a few restaurants in town are expensive. And fast food places, almost one at every block. Haha. I'm surprised more people in my town aren't overweight.



Okay, I'll shut up now. I'm rambling on. I just love talking to everyone. I'm also trying to practice my social skills, not that is obvious or anything. LOL.

I have to stop you right there. The correct spelling and capitalization of IHOP is as such, one word, no hyphens, spaces or anything else, and definitely no lowercase I. If absolutely necessary, ihop is an acceptable substitute, but under no circumstances should any other spelling be used.

I only say this because I care. IHOP is not only my favorite place to eat, it is my best friend.

Lazlo Falconi : I-Hop, IHOP, iHOP, Ihop, close enough. Lets all agree that they have some good pancakes and breakfast. Also have you eaten there for lunch or dinner and how is that food? I say that becuase I know Denny's is known for their breakfast, yet not a lot of people eat at there for lunch (unless its brunch) or dinner.
