-Age: 14+
-100+ posts a month
-Log on at least 3 days a week on average
-100 Staff Points (this is post hiring... don't worry about it now)

Why do we require our locals at 14+?

It's simply a matter of maturity. We've had 13 year old mods who have worked out though... so if you are 13, it's not the end of the world. Some people are much more mature than their age indicates.

Why do we require 100+ posts a month?

This is just a matter of activity. We need to know we can count on you to be active at all times. As the local moderator manager, I watch this and staff points closely. If you miss quota you and I get to have a talk.

Why do we require 3 days a week of activity?

Again, it's simply a matter of activity. We need to know we can count on you being active as a moderator.

What are Staff Points and why do we need 100?

Staff Points let me know who is doing their job around the site. Every moderator action you do, whether it's closing, trashing or moving threads, I find out about. It's just a way of measuring how much work a person does on site. As for why 100? 100 is just a fair number and it's easy to remember

I don't have any experience as a local mod here but on a few apps i have had the position of moderator (its different from here because its in a chat room).

How often are you online, and therefore, able to mod?

I'm on somewhere between 2-5 hours a day (it used to be about double but my dad took my phone).

What can you offer us as a moderator?

I think I would be a good candidate as a moderator because I do look around the forums often and do post on, for the most part, a daily basis.

Why do you think you are best for the job?

I wouldn't say that I'm the best qualified but I do think that I would be a good candidate for the job because of my activity on the site and because I do spend a bit of time in the forums.

The forums I favor would probably be the help forum and the crazy house. I also wouldn't mind monitoring the general chat forum.

Well I came to this site last year to pretty much only play the RGR games. In April I, signed up and spent about a month playing and soon after I decided to get more involved in the forums. In June, I began to post more actively and ended up meeting more people and making new friends.

I would report that user to one of the globals and have them handle the situation. If muting is necessary then I will mute.

What do you think is spammy?

My interpretation of spammy is unnecessary and irrelevant posts and messages that are either posted repeatedly or posted in a place in which that post or message brings nothing to the topic or discussion in any way, shape, or form.

What timezone do you live in?

I live in the eastern time zone.

If someone asks you for help about the RGR, what do you do?

I try and help them out in any way I can. I may provide a link to a game or a section of the site that may help the user with the problem.

Excellent. I shall strive to become the next great mod.  Look out Vizzed, I have many hours to burn on my newly fixed laptop, so......perfect timing with mod apps.

I figured I might be too new to apply but... well, I followed the instructions and applied regardless due to the fact that I do meet the posted requirements.

I can see we already have some... "Promising" applications. I can't wait to see how this turns out.


Word of advice to all those looking to be a Moderator : The Globals aren't looking for somebody who will go talk to them every time a user causes a problem. Show some initiative, there's a specific question on this form that your entire application pretty much hangs on, make sure you answer it correctly.

But, that's just like, my opinion, man.

I wish everyone good luck who is applying for the mod job. It's a great job to have not because of the power what little you have but because you get to help those in need just a little bit more and you can show how responsible you are. There are just a little bit of self reward for being to help out with the community. Though I do hope you all have been trying to help out in your own ways.

Ktanaqui : I can tell you this --only because I have seen legacyme3 mention it in past mod apps. Even if you do not get selected, applying at least gets you noticed by the staff. Regardless of whether you application is chosen you should continue to be the best member of Vizzed you can be, and that will greatly improve your chances of being selected in the next set of openings.

AuraBlaze : Oh, nice. So it definitely was -not- a bad move to get a selection. I mean, myself? I primarily like the Stories/Simulation/Art and Web Splurge. It'd be nice if I had some power to try and get it better in there; it's virtually dead. At least in the matter of the former. I know I have no problem waiting though as patience is something that I've learned gets rewarded rather richly. On that note - thank you for the response and notification of that little fact.

13+ infers 13 and up therefore your explanation is invalid. Try making it 14+

Try adding target="_blank" to the URL. It makes it open in a new tab which may be useful for users since having this thread and the PM box open at the same time makes applying a lot easier.

Davidlegacygreeme73 hasn't registered yet. It also produces zero results on Google. I didn't know that was possible.
