My life has been a mess, especially this year. I got kicked out of my parents' house, I formed a drinking habit, my dog Monster has a brain tumor, I lost the love of my life (and the mother of my kid) in July by someone I just want to kill, I can't raise my kid due to school so he lives with his grandparents in Topeka until I graduate in May, and now this. I broke my leg so severely that its shattered in half. How, for being a dumbass and getting kicked in the tibia multiple times and then tripping when I started limping. Funny thing is it was just a little game my friends and I did with a few people in Eisenhower High School. They were the ones who aggravated my injury and then severely injure me.

Back to the point I'm trying to say. I can't play soccer no more. My tibia is snapped in half and my fibula was popped out of the socket and cracked. Even if it's healed, I can't play no more. It's just too messed up now and all I could feel is pain. My whole life I dreamed to play soccer with the pros, make a name of myself, show people what I'm capable of. Now I can't and it's all my fault. I had the choice to decline the invitation but no, I risked it and now look, a Fu**in ass cripple laying down in bed enduring the pain in my cast. All I can feel is pain, regret, but no sorrow.

I don't care about life no more. I'm not going suicidal or emo but I just don't care no more. It's been hell since I moved to this dump at the age of 8. I realized that this place is a curse to me and I just can't escape. I got no where to go, I am not needed by anyone other than my son, and I just can't find anything that will inspire me no more. I am finished, done with my dreams, I don't care anymore.

I know there were more who warned me but you two stressed about it the most. I should of did what you guys warned me but too late now. I'm crippled and useless. Yeah, I shouldn't be hard on myself but I did this to myself. It's mostly my fault.

I just need some time off for a while, probably a week or two away from chat and such....

I'm just gonna put this out there.

You are a soccer player.

You know how important your legs are.

You still did something, intentionally I may add, that led to an injury of your leg.

I feel no pity for you.

I get why you're so bummed, but everyone makes mistakes. I'm pretty sure everyone in their life falls so low that they don't think they'll ever get back out again. Some don't. This event and your mistake (srsly though brah, what did you do?) doesn't define you nearly as much as how you decide to pull yourself back up again.

As a mother of a child around your son's age, I can't stress enough how much he needs you. You're lucky that you have someone to watch him while you recover and finish high school; a lot of young parents don't have that luxury and have to manage everything themselves. He'll be there waiting for you when you can get through this, and that should be more than enough to get you started on getting through this. I believe you when you say you're not suicidal, but just giving up isn't much better. There's more to life than soccer. I know that was your dream, but dreams don't always come true. So you know what you do? You make different dreams. You can't invest your happiness in just one thing, you can find happiness in anything if you're willing to stop feeling sorry for yourself and make the best of what you have. People have overcome far greater obstacles than this and achieved some peace of mind in their life, so I'm pretty damn sure you can too.

By all means, grieve and pout and be depressed. Get it out of your system, then move on.

Couldn't have put it better myself KG.  I think you should just dust yourself off and try again. It doesn't matter how bleak things look. Two months ago I was quite literally homeless for a spell. Today I own my own home(ableit in a trailer park) and live in a very fun place with many new friends.(Texas!) But the point IS when you seem at your lowest things DO find a way to pick up. You just have to work for it. If not soccer than something else.

Why are you taking things serious? You have a roof above you right? I mean, you can't just give up just like that?! Think of all the homeless that are panhandling and trying to look for jobs. Do they give up? No, they don't. They try multiple times until they make mills.

This "little game" was just an activity called "World Cup". Simple rules, There's one goalie to block shots throughout the game (goalie isn't on a team, just adding), we play half field, teams consists of 2 people, max team 5 in the gamw, they all play simutaneously on the field. Teams that score 2 goals advance to the next round until the last team standing is left, in that case that last team is out of the game. Continues until 2 teams are left in the last round in this elimination style game. This is to help a few what the game is about since it relates to the accident

We (Friends and I) were playing it on the Cameron U. soccer field, then about 4 E.H.S soccer players came by and asked if they want to play. Mistake, we let them. We had 4 teams now playing W.C and each time I get the ball, they deliberately slide tackle on my left leg. It was still swollen and the tackles kept aggravating it until I limped. I fought the pain but they still kept attacking my leg. My friends noticed it also and they got hit also in various parts of their legs. My leg was in so much pain I fell and try to rest it a bit, an E.H.S player "happens" to come by and "accidentally" steps on my legs. It was no accident what he did, stepping on it then jump. All I heard was a snap and a cleat thumping on my leg as if they slammed it on my injured foot. Next thing I heard, my screams, friends' yelling, few punches, and a siren.

My leg is ruined, bones snapped and cracked, and I am crippled. I need to go through surgery, get my bones fixed, and just stare at my phone and wall, thinking of what should've been but will never be. Yeah few friends came by to wish me well and told me why the E.H.S students came by to the soccer field (Sabotage our school's Varsity team by injuring a few players, fu**in b**ches will be dam*** to hell), my girlfriend Marissa came by to "try" to cheer me up (somewhat did, but she tried atleast). And then another person, one who actually caused my leg to swell a month ago, came to see how I been, Chad. He told me that I might be finished. Then told me how a friend in college (thinking he said MSU) got his leg busted and now after the semester ends, his scholarship will be cut off due to he is unable to play no more.....
Ok straying from the topic.... What really bums me out is the results. The doctor came and told me that I can't run, jump, play sports that uses legs in vigorous activities, etc. By running and jumping, I meant I can't do them like I used to. All I can do for now is to lay in bed and wait for my next appointment. Got a few friends caring for me while I heal and Marissa is taking care of Monster and my parakeets since I'm unable to feed, play, take care of them. Monster seems to love her.

KG :
Yeah, that post is a bit similar to what my girlfriend said, (Sorry if it sounds rude) this is what I said, "Nothing inspires me no more" Soccer is my dream, I lived for it since I was 4, I always told my brother I wanted to be Beckham (My father left me at age of 3, I think of my brother as a father figure. As for Beckham, it was when he was in his prime) I told him I was going to be in the bests soccer clubs around the globe. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, etc. Every day I train, every day I tried, every day I overcame obstacles. Every day.... I became closer to my dream. Guess what, takes on stupid risk and it's all over. You're right, dreams don't come true. How stupid was I to believe that they are? I'm being serious, why even follow dreams? You can never achieve them or never even get close. It was stupid of me to chase that dream for 13-14 years just to realize I can't achieve.
As for the kid, yeah. I'm blessed that he is taken care of. Grateful and once out of school, going to raise that little rascal.

becerra95: I'm not the most positive person myself. I think it's easier for me to see negativity in others instead of myself. Anyway, to get to my point..... KG: didn't say dreams never come true, she said SOME dreams don't always come true. Trying to achieve your dreams is basically just taking the chance to trying to achieve it. Also, you act like your life is over. What you should do is ask the Doctor is he/she meant to not do any og those activities WHILE you're healing or if he meant permanently never doing those things again. You JUST injured yourself, your Doctor could have meant not to do any strenuous activity while you're trying to heal. Another thing, your life isn't over. I understand soccer is your dream and passion, BUT feeling sorry for yourself won't make anything better and since you have a son, you don't want any negativity rubbing off on your son. Just try to think positive and you can still travel and do all those other things even if you can't become a professional soccer player. Unfortunately in any kind of sport, people get injured, it's a part of life. And a lot of professionals get injured all the time and have to retire. They don't feel sorry for themselves and give up, they focus on the good things in life and find a new dream. It's not the end of the world! Be happy you're still alive. Do I think what those guys did is wrong? Of course! But it'll come back to them ten fold! Hang in there.

Cool story bro.

Leggy basically summed it up. I don't feel bad for you at all for intentionally doing something like that with an already busted up leg. Only a fool would intentionally do such a thing.

If you want to look it up though, there are things such as handicapped Soccer games. I'm not too sure how it'd work out for somebody like you who still has both legs, but it's worth looking at I guess, Nya~.

Dude, you just gotta hang in there. Sounds like s*** hit the fan pretty damn well... but you know what? It'll heal. Some people who were told they could never do this, could never do that... they kept trying and they worked out and went through therapy and just kept going until eventually - they did what they were told they would never do. Don't give up. It seems like hell now, but it'll get better.

MegaRevolution1: Actually if you read his story, he didn't intentionally do anything. How was he supposed to know they were only there to sabotage the team he was on? It's not his fault. He's also not looking for anyone to feel sorry for him. But being sympathetic is the kind thing to do.

Even if a lot of bad things happened to you... That doesn't mean you must forget about the Life.

Find new motivations, and try to fix your problems. You can't surrender like that...

SunflowerGaming : He was intentionally playing Soccer, a game that you only use your legs to play with, while it was busted. The sabotage was unfortunate, but you get what you pay for, really. Being sympathetic is the kind thing to do, but the two problems with that is that: 1) I'm not a very sympathetic person in most cases, and 2) Again, intentionally playing a game that requires a lot of leg work while your leg is busted is the stupidest thing you can do, and deserves little no sympathy from me.

MegaRevolution1 : OOOH, I must have missed that part when I was reading his story. I didn't know he played while his leg was injured, the way I read it sounded like it got injured because of those guys, not injured more so. I feel like a dummy. Haha. And as for your statement about not being a very sympathetic person, that's too bad. But it's none of my business why. All I can guess is because maybe no one has shown you that much so it's hard for you to show it for others. That's just a guess, not saying that's the case. But thanks for clearing that up about his story, sometimes I can read something and I won't really understand it unless someone, like you, explains it to me. Haha.

SunflowerGaming :
Yeah, I played while my leg was still busted, but hey, Karma will get you. Plus, about the dreams, went a bit over-board with it. After some thinking, I realized that I'm just taking things too literal. As for what the Doctor said, he meant, even if it's healed, I can't play because it might become too fragile or it couldn't endure the vigorous activities that requires your legs like how light needs electricity (trying out simile, English stuff)

KG :
Don't know if you read it but sorry about my snark remark about dreams. Like I said, been chasing it for more than a decade. I stopped feeling sorry for myself and started to climb the hole I dug myself into. Why? Simple, for my son. People (including you) from vizz (very few) and who visited me (majority) kept telling me "Stop being negative, think about Mathew". Then another surprise visit. Allyson's grandparents came, all the way from Topeka. Along side was Mathew. That made me think about my kid's future and how I might affect it. I found my inspiration, my son, (Sounds corny but hey, it's true)

MegaRevolution1 :
Handicap soccer? Really now. Nothing bad about the idea but really? I know I can't qualify for that. Just saying.

Well, got a call from coach yesterday, he told me if interested, I can either go back training the Goalie (love that gal) and strikers in Girls' Varsity or help some teammates train kids at John Adams Elementary school. He told me if I can't play soccer, why not help coach the sport (technically, assistant coach but eh...) Seems like a good idea, but it's too soon to even be on crutches. Surgery will be today at 8 A.M.

Hey I am really sorry for what happened to you. It's not your fault those guys tried to literally break your leg off, it was bad to try to play with a wounded leg though.

You do have three great things going for you. A son to look after and fight to take care of him nothing in the world is as powerful as a child to inspire you. My little sister is my inspiration to get healthy and write my book.

You have a girlfriend that is beside you and is offering you help and care. Not many people have that. You are lucky!

Lastly your coach has opened your eyes to still be in the world of soccer! There are jobs that allow you to still be in the sport but not play it!

I wish you the best of luck! May that silver lining come to you quickly!
