This is one of the best beat em up games I ever played. Even though the graphics and sound are not a marvel. The gameplay is great and I always enjoyed playing beat um up games.

STORY: The story is pretty simple. An evil man named Mr X, kidnapped Sylva. The hero is Thomas, he travels through 5 floors so he can save his girlfriend Sylva. Each floor is packed with enemies and powerful bosses, but he will stop at nothing to save his girlfriend.

GAMEPLAY: The gameplay is top notch. I really enjoyed it because it delivers satisfaction in defeating enemies. The controls are simple and easy to remember. I found other beat um ups difficult because most of the enemies are so strong. This one however, the enemies are really easy to kill.

GRAPHICS: The game looks nice, but there's not much to say about the graphics. Nintendo could have added more stuff to the background because it looks kind of plain and there is not much to the levels.

SOUND: There are some great sound effects and laughs from the bosses. In fact this has better sound then most NES games especially since it was an early NES title. Even though the laughs sound a little cheesy and a bit creepy, for the time it was impressive.

ADDICTIVENESS: No matter how many times I had to start over. I still would not stop playing the game until I beat it. That's how addicting this game is. Although if your not going for a high score contest. You will quit the game the moment you beat it.

DEPTH: There is only 5 levels in the game that are short. So if you never died, it would take you about 15 minutes to beat the game. There is 2 difficulty settings like most of the launch titles for the NES.

DIFFICULTY: The first 2 levels are pretty easy but when you get to the 3rd level you have to use strategy to defeat the boss. It get harder and harder from there. In general the game is not very difficult.

Great review!

I used to play this game when I was kid... It was really fun, I've finished it like 3 or 4 times. I remember when the start of the 2nd and the 3rd. Floor was hard for me... Now, it's a piece of cake.
