First of all, let me get this straight.... Pokémon Light Platinum is -hands down- one of the best Pokémon game hacks/remakes out there.
Pokémon Light Platinum is a great hack/remake (take your pick) of the Game Boy Advance game Pokémon Ruby. When you read that, you might have thought, "What???? But they're nothing like each other!" That, in fact, is true.
Pokémon Light Platinum has much to offer, including a whole new region named the Zhery Region filled with -that's right- Pokémon from all generations for you to catch while exploring this new region. This game also introduces a new storyline, not just differently named towns with the same things to do in them. There are also new Gym Leaders, new rivals,(some are the main characters from the main Pokémon games) and a new event that takes place at the end: the Pokémon World Championship. Now, I'm not exactly sure what this is, so ask Wesley if he can explain. Also, for the people who are just crazy about Legendary Pokémon, good news, in this game you can catch every Legendary except for Shaymin, Tornadus, Thunderus, Landorus, Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect.
Now for the scores...
Difficulty: 6
I think that Wesley could have raised every wild and trainer Pokémon's level in this game just a little bit-maybe by 4-5 levels- because you can easily finish the first couple half-hours without losing a single battle.
Depth: 9
This game has a lot to offer (as I explained in the third paragraph), and it is extremely obvious that Wesley spent a lot of time and put a lot of heart into this game.
Story: 9
Again, as in the third paragraph, Wesley introduces a whole, complete storyline that is very big. I'm glad that he made a whole new story; not just introduced a new region and other new features with absolutely no story to follow. And yes, I have seen that in some so-called remakes.
Addictiveness: 10
If you played this game before, can you possibly argue with that? Unless you're a big Pokémon hater.
Sound: 8
While the sound is better then most Game Boy/Advance Pokémon game's sound , you can't possibly compare it with the sound from the Generation 4/5 Nintendo DS game's sound.
Graphics: 9
Again, (why so many repeats????) although the graphics are much more refined than Pre-Generation 4/5 games, but it still can't stand up to the DS' 3D.
Overall: 0.4
Now why would I say that, even though this game is a great hack for newbies to Pokémon hacks, has great graphics, introduces tons and tons of new features, and has great sound?
Because I wanted to get your attention.
Overall: 9.7 Well, that's it for my review. My user name is vicXdom, and please rate this! I hope you enjoyed this Pokémon Light Platinum Review!
