I haven't seen it in this topic so you must be referring to elsewhere in the forum. Just so I don't have to go haphazardly searching for it, could you reiterate your reasoning here.. because RROD or not, I fail to see any reason why the 360 would fail before the CD-i, Virtual Boy, Jaguar or anything of the sort.

so, to re-iterate for you.

yes, RROD plus shoddy manufacturing.
games for it are substandard (taking a cross section of the games released, yes there are some good ones but i base off majority)
alot of the games are too easy.
too many versions of the same (fundamentally flawed) console.
too many games for "gangstas" and "jocks".
too many multiplayer games.
games that should only be on PC (FPS is only good on PC. my opinion)

the xbox has potential, but unless they fix alot of things, and release all the games outside the US, then thats my OPINION.

So you'd rather have a console with barely any games, than a console with the same amount of good games (maybe more) and then loads of rather good games?

Oh... that was your opinion on the issue? Taking a look at it that way you could call.. pretty much any console just about the same.

Substandard games, where it's no different than the PS3 really (due to their shared cross-platform games) and the Wii's current state of shovelware.
Same goes for difficulty.
Versions of the same console?
...gangstas and jocks?
And how is multi-player gaming a problem?
And finally we return to this being a console wide issue with the FPS.

Since you are only making statements on the consoles that you have had experience with... what exactly have you played? I'm just trying to get a better picture of what exactly is wrong with the 360 that isn't the same as a lot of other consoles.

id rather have a quality console with loads of good games. like the psx/ps2 or the snes.

You do have a point DH. Good games are harder to find than before. Too many crap games. Like...I can't think of any off of the top of my head. Oh, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I wish that there would be more good games like on the SNES and PS2.
Yes, many of the 360's games are made for Jocks. The gangsta part...i don't understand. I'm just an average white guy and i find GTA fun.
Also, FPS only being fun on computers? The 360 is easy to do FPS's...well I can completely understand strategy games only being good on Comps. but FPS?

I can mostly understand you DH but some...i just don't know. I'm not trying to flame you. I respect your opinion so don't take it the wrong way.

Also, as I'm sure you can tell, I am trying to make sure you know I respect you. I have had my share of crazy friends. I doubt you're crazy though

i guess the whole saints row games made way too big an impression on me, it sort of was like its cool to be a bad guy.

the FPS thing is a personal choice, i dont think they belong on consoles is all.
i played my first FPS on n64 i think, goldeneye, and it was ok, but there was auto aiming if i recall so you could just run around and shot like a platformer.
but when i played an FPS on console without auto aim, it was like no this isnt right.
then i played FPS on PC and it was more like yeah, this is right, this is the way this should be played.
so its a preference thing

Thanks DH. Ditto. Well, everybody prefers different things. Some people prefer DS. Some prefer PSP. Some prefer Mac*cough*me*cough*. Some people prefer PC.

The world is full of opinions. So why are we wasting our time arguing about yours? Who are we to decide what you like? We aren't. But, now we need the thread to get back to it's point...

I have to say SegaCD. The games were all horrible IMO. Buying it was a waste if good money.

I'd probably have to say PC is the worst thing I've played games on.

By far, The Virtual Boy.
Talk about a headache. Try staring a a fake 3D red and black image for an hour and not have one. AFter playing for 10 minutes it feels like my head is going to explode. Then taking them off you almost go blind from all the color. It was a terrible idea and I have no idea why it was actually released at all.

to me ....the atari yeah yeah i know it was the first console and all my brothers used to have it and i played once like...ten years ago before they sell it and it sucks
