It is not often that first person shooters hit the nail on the head. With that being said... this game hit the nail, but it went in crooked. So, the creators had to take out the nail, get a new nail, and hit that into the wall. Fortunately for us, this worked. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was (and is), like Modern Warfare 2, a game that needed work. The patches that came out for this game fixed the game immensely, helping out this review a lot.
This game is the final installment of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series. Being that game, the story becomes all wrapped up into one package at the end, which is how it is supposed to be. This gives the story the feeling of being complete, even though some things go unanswered.
Not only does the game include its own story, but it has Special Ops. Special Ops contains missions and the all new Survival mode, similar to zombies except the fact that zombies do not have guns in Black Ops or World at War. The Special Ops missions can be played alone, but some have to be played with a friend, bringing a co-op experience that games like Medal of Honor had.
Now for the multi-... You cannot review the multiplayer. Everyone's experience will be different when you play the multiplayer.
Graphics 7: To my surprise when I played the game, I saw what flaws there were. For example, Battlefield 3 has much better quality in the graphics department. I even like Call of Duty: Black Ops' graphics better than this. Even with that said, though, the graphics still meet the par that needs to be set for a game.
Sound 8: With the exception of sound when you are about to win, the sound does not bother me at all. I like to listen to it, so it gets this respectable number.
Addictiveness 10: I have let Madden NFL 12 rot on my shelf because I play this game so much. It makes me wonder if I have become obsessed with this game. So naturally, this game receives a ten in this department.
Story 10: The Modern Warfare story comes to a close in this game. I really like what happens in the end, but I will not give away what happens. You might just have to play the game for yourself.
Depth 10: The game not only includes the story mode, but there is a survival mode and special ops missions. This game will never end if you play it.
Difficulty 10: Depending on what difficulty you play on, you might agree or disagree with me. For myself, I find that this game provides a challenge that I usually do not see in games anymore.
Overall 9.2: If you cannot tell, this is an average of all the above scores into one. This game has offered much to me, and I love this game a lot. If this game was a tad better though, I would not be sitting here writing this review.
