The Game Boy Advance was a great console. It offered all sorts of ways for devolpers to make great handheld games. Eventually, Nintendo decided to make a few games where tilting the system would result in a reaction in the game. Nintendo teamed up with Artoon to revive the Yoshi series from a child-like experience with a motion like experience... and they failed.

--- If you like text boxes, you'll like this. ---
First, a note to people who own a Game Boy Player: this game will not work, since the GameCube... just don't tilt it. Anyways, the game starts up asking what system you're using. It's alright to ask the first time, but every time I re-start the game? Why? After that, you set up how the system tilts when, if you haven't realized it already, the system has nothing to do with tilting, instead, it's the huge cartridge that holds this small game. It's akward, at least for me to do this. I have some... minor eye problems, and they come in place here. I can't focus on where Yoshi is standing, I focus on the GBA screen frame. All you have to do is make it seem like Yoshi is standing straight to your eyes. So anyways, the game starts up with this skinny old person with the "Forbidden Pop-Up Book". Sound familiar, maybe, Yoshi's Story? I thought they were trying to get away from that game... never mind that. Bowser starts terrorizing Yoshi's Island, so the elder person locks him and Yoshi's Island in the book. AH WHAT THE CRAP? This stupid thing with the horns starts giggling while Yoshi throws a fit. And then the game begins... with this stupid pink bee thing. It loves "cute things, like the Egglings. Bowser terrorizes their island, so they swim to Yoshi's Island and... 2 seconds later, OOOOH I FOUND YOUUU. Bowser then turns the Egglings into cherrries, and the stupid bee pink thing tells you to get 2 Happiness Medals by completing the objective of 2/3 levels. Here, the game FINALLY begins.

   --- Annoying grateful eggs. ---
Okay, let's start  the gam-Oh, we have some instructions. It tells us to tilt our GBA right to roll out a bridge. If I wanted to do that, I would play Pikmin. I stuble across a cherry nd... it tells Yoshi he's amazing. Next screen. Another Eggling! Let-text box. It tells us how to walk up walls. Just tilt your GBA in the same direction as the wall. I walk up and... I already have 3Egglings. All I need, next level, right? No, I actually have to hurt any maturity I may have ever had further by getting to the end. The Egglings always say "Thank You" in a REALLY annoying voice whenever you save one. It gets really repitive and annoying. HOLY CRAP, we're in the snow. It tells us about sliding on half-pipes, and then says "Jumping this high is almost TOO much fun!" Yeah, the kid who enjoies that sentence knows what a half-pipe is. If Yoshi jumps high enough, he does this really childish thumbs-up. If I'm looking for a game for kids, I might as well walk over to Wally Bear. I take one step in the next room and, ANOTHER TEXT BOX. It tells me about tilting my GBA to make a xylophone make noise. I feel like I'm back in 2nd grade, the game thinking I give a crap. I get to this giant star, and it says this is the stage exit, Have you completed your gole? *looks down* Egglings: 7/3 YES, I've completed my goal. I have to spin this wheel because I got a Happiness Medal and... horn laughing thing is back. It tells me to get 25 drum beats in 10 seconds. If you do it, you get a 1-Up. Worth my time, right? If it takes me 240 words to get through the first level... fun may be ahead.

---Quite possibly the EASIEST GBA game. ---
In World 1-2, you start out with this weird red spiky thing. Just jump over it and... goodbye. WAIT... there were no enemies in the last level. What the crap, man? I can get through the first room and I already have 3 Egglings. Really? Then there;'s a ton of cannons, which are hard to control, because the tilt sensor reverses. I found a glitch. Get in the first cannon and go right, You get blasted into a wall, and you get a weird noise. The rest of the level features nothing worth mentioning. In World 1-3, if you drop down, there's... an enemy! HOLY CRAP, guys, there's an enemy! How do you kill this Piranha Plant? Well, Yoshi has no eggs here, no ground punds, nothing but his tounge. We're back in the snow again. Nintendo, is this a grass world, or an ice world? Well... I've seen enough. Three levels nto the game, and no change. Okay, so I'm done with this game. If they were trying to improve the Yoshi series, they did the complete opposite. Well... I think there's some kind of restriction with motion games... however, WarioWare: Twisted worked out just fine. How come they made this game such a dissapointment? If you haven't decided I'm mad with myself for making mr suffer this game, I'll see you in my next review.

pacman1755 : Holy crap, nobody's replied to one of my reviews since DECEMBER.

Anyways, this game is fun if you look at it the right way, but it won't compare to Yoshi's Island or Yoshi's Story.
