I'm actually doing alright.  I feel pretty secure about my red jersey and I'm not interested in getting any other jerseys today, so I can just take my time going through posts.  Also, I had no kids acting crazy today and the lesson was an easy one for most students, so all was good on that front.

Tomorrow, I go to see the doctor, so I have tomorrow off. However, since it's only a two hour thing tops, that means I get to work on catching up with my grades tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to that.

Oldschool41 :  I have a disorder that I've had since I was 14.  I always ignored the symptoms and my parents were too poor to take me to the hospital.  So after I moved out, I just kept ignoring them myself, despite protests from both my mother, my co-workers, and my husband.

This June, my symptoms got SO bad that I finally went and saw a doctor.  She told me what was wrong with me and put me on several pills, telling me to take them for four months and then come back.  My body was so out of whack (hormone and chemical wise) that she said it would take that long to straighten out.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the disorder, I can't go in to much more than that because I personally wouldn't consider it 'family safe'.  That being said, my views on what is family safe are kind of stricter than most people's.

When I go tomorrow, she's supposed to test my hormones and chemicals to see if I need to keep taking the pills, or if we can move onto the next step in fixing my body.

I am having a great day so far, although it's only half way over.  I took the whole day off, but I just got out of my doctor's appointment. My doctor was in a rush, and I was originally scheduled for the wrong procedure, but I'm not going to complain.  I love my doctor very much, and so I'm glad she made some time for me, even if it was short.

Apparently, she wants to me to increase the dosage of one of my pills which I'm not a fan of.  However, she says that it will make me feel even better, which is hard to imagine!

I thought I'd just take the time to update everyone on my day.  I had.... such a wonderful day. I really did.  I wish more days could be like this.

After I got home from the doctors, I spent a lot of time grading, and then I spent a lot of time talking to leggy, which made me happier than playing TdV.    I love getting to know people, especially when they don't balk at my long letters!

Today I did some more sprite editing for my sprite comic today...

Well... ATTEMPTED to would be a more legitimate answer. I actually kind of failed and didn't really make progress except for knowing what NOW to do tomorrow...

I need to get an update out soon for that... But the next update is hard...

I had a WONDERFUL day.  I was worried it would be stressful because I wasn't really all that prepared and left the house late.  Despite not being prepared, the day somehow flew by wonderfully..

The day started with me playing a board game with my students.  I taught them to play 7 Wonders, a Euro game that I thoroughly enjoy.  However, I don't get to play it often because it's mainly a three person game.  Of course, there's a two player version, but it's a little cumbersome, and besides that, my husband and I are usually pretty busy.  I was worried that my students would struggle with the game, but they picked up rather quickly and the game went smoothly.    One of the students even beat me!  Granted, I was using the hard side of the city cards, but it was still impressive!

Quickly cleaning that up, we were called upstairs for a faculty meeting before the day began.  I was a bit worried to be honest, because it was 'tacky day' for homecoming week.  I dressed up (or rather, down) and wasn't certain our new principal would approve.  I was wearing comfy gray slacks, a pink stained and sloppy shirt, and a shiny purple dress shirt half way buttoned up over that.  I was wearing heels with one bright green sock and one bright pink sock.  My hair was up in a sloppy pony tail, I was wearing a different earring in each ear, and I was wearing a brown fedora.  In addition to that, I had lipstick smeared above my lips and rouge on my cheeks.

Last year for cowboy day, I had worn a hat, but our principal then got onto me, saying that if students weren't allowed to wear hats, I couldn't either, even though it was cowboy day.

Well today as I walked into the faculty meeting, I noticed I was the ONLY one dressed tacky!  Plus, I was coming in five minutes late from the game club, and everyone else was already there.  The principal was talking to the staff, and as I walked in, she interrupted herself said "Oh, look, it's Michael Jackson!"

Everyone started laughing, and I've got to say, it was a huge relief, and quite funny!

___

Now, since I left the house late, I was not able to grab anything to bring to work with me for a meal.  I just figured I'd be hungry all day until I got home, which always makes me feel miserable.

But God is so good!  I wanted to post this part of my day in the thread about what God does in your life each day, but unfortunately no one has posted there so that I can.

I was sitting in my classroom when one of the office aides came into my room.  She handed me this bag of... stuff, without an explanation, and since I was mid-teaching, I got really confused.  I just stood there holding the bag and I was like "What's this?"  She told me that some woman had come to the office and dropped it off for me.  I thought maybe I was supposed to give it to a student, so I asked who dropped it off and what for.

The office aide went to go ask, but when she returned, the parent's answer had been apparently cryptic:  "There's a note in the bag."  I set the bag down and finished teaching until it was time to give my students a quiz.  I quietly opened the bag, and noticed... (Praise the Lord most High!) absolutely full of food!  FULL of it!  There was a canister and everything, to store the food in.  I was so astonished, and still confused, so I looked for the letter.  There was a beautiful card in there.  I opened it up and.... it was a thank you card.  A thank you card from parents of a child I had failed.  Can you imagine that?  Even though I failed this student.... apparently they wanted to thank me for how well she was doing this year, saying it was due to my teaching.  I almost wanted to cry!  I mean, here I was thinking I would be miserably hungry, and not only does God provide me with food, but he gives me a touching gift in doing so!  It's not teacher appreciation week, my birthday, or any such celebration.  This gift was simply completely random, and just happened to be given on a day that I was starving!

God is so ... SO good!  Hallelujah!  Praise to His name!  I was so touched by that gesture, and it was certainly one of the times I smiled today.

Later, I even received MORE food, as one of my students was passing out candied apples to try and gain votes for homecoming court.  I had never tried a candied apple before, so she gave me one.  God provided me with even more!  Needless to say, this day I did not go hungry.

The rest of the day passed by rather smoothly, and as the day progressed, I worked hard.  I got all of my grading caught up!  Every little bit of my grading is done!  For weeks, I've been behind and I had been stressed about trying to get all of it done.  I didn't even know I was so close until I was sitting there with the last few sheets, and I went to look into my bag... only to discover there were none left.  What an amazing feeling!

Then, when I was on the way home, a cat I've dubbed "Ugly Butt" followed me home.  He's a stray out here and I suppose the name seems like a cruel one, but I sort of call him Ugly Butt as a term of affection.  When I first saw him, he had the -oddest- looking face, and it simply didn't fit his body.  It was as though his head was too large, and quite possibly he might have been inbred.  I mean, he's THAT ugly.  Since then (half a year ago), he's grown more into his face.  Oh, he's still ugly alright, but he's not AS ugly.

Anyways, whenever I saw him, I'd pet him, and he'd chase me for while, snapping at my toes.  Recently though, I've been seeing him more and more because he seems to have picked a porch to regularly stock.  So for the last week or so, I've been petting him and offering him food if I had it.  Well, today when he saw me, he just hopped right off his porch and followed along my side!  It was so adorable!  I just smiled all the way home as he walked right next to me for a few good blocks.

I don't know why, but having a cat walking alongside me for several blocks just makes me so very happy!  I made sure to give him a bit of food, too, when I got to the house.

So then, as though my day couldn't get any better, I was met with a surprise when I got home!  My husband had done all the dishes!!! Now, I know this sounds like nothing special, but in our house, it certainly is!  You see... as embarrassing as this is going to be for me, neither of us have done the dishes for quite some time.  He always works nights, so he tends to sleep all day, and therefore he never does the dishes while I'm at work.

Then I get home and it's just 'grade grade grade', and -I- never get the dishes done either!  Even when I'm posting here, you see, I'm also grading and typing tests and preparing lessons.  By the time I stop, it's either bed time or I'm just completely exhausted and not feeling up to any chores.

Therefore, coming and seeing the dishes done was like... something SUPER special!  I've been smiling all night.  God is so good to me.  I woke up and went to work expecting this day to be tough.  Not only did I survive the day, however, but God blessed me on multiple occasions as well.  It's days like these that really keep me going, and keep me motivated.  I'm feeling so in love with the world and with life, and God.  It just inspires me even more, to pick up my Bible and read.

I wish that people could see the importance of it. I mean, I haven't read my bible in quite some time, and I feel guilty over that fact.  I also haven't attended church simply because my husband works 11pm-7am on Saturday night to Sunday morning.  THEN, he works 5:30pm to 2:30 on that Sunday night to Monday morning.  Therefore he uses that little window to get as much sleep as he can.  I know it's probably wrong of me, but I don't want to go to church alone... especially considering that we haven't found the church that's 'right' for us.  Since my husband is more knowledgeable in the Word and is the spiritual leader of the household, he can tell me if what the pastor says is not right, and I can then read the references myself and make a decision on how I feel.  Without him there, I'm afraid I wouldn't catch onto the right things, or if I wanted to tell my husband why I did or did not like a church service, I'd be hard pressed to explain it to him.  And besides that, I just don't like doing things without my husband (I'm very meek and shy).

Not that it's an excuse... God should come before any discomforts I have, and if I really can't stand to be alone, I should pray and ask God for strength.

Whoa, I kind of got way off topic, I just realized!  LOL
Anyways, sorry for the long post. I just had a really really good day and I was eager to share!

Today was one of those days that makes me wonder if I will always want to be a teacher.  IT was just plain awful.

However, my husband totally made up for it surprising me with a spotless house and spaghetti Ramen when I got home. I feel so happy and relaxed after my super stressful day.

I wanna kill whatever crawled inside my throat and keeps making me cough over and over. It's really beginning to itch and burn. :l

Also didn't sleep well... Happy I won both blue and yellow Jerseys today, although I wanted to work on my sprite comic more today, and probably tomorrow too, so I gave up competing for any Jerseys today and might do so for tomorrow too.

I had a pretty good day today.  Surprisingly though, it seemed to REALLY drag on. I got a lot of work done, but I feel like I've just sat through three or four days instead of one day.  I didn't even do much at ACT Academy because there was a spare teacher there who I wasn't expecting.

So yeah, today was pretty relaxed.

(Well, now that it is officially past midnight, I am of course talking about the PREVIOUS day if you want to be technical.  I waited to post because I didn't want to steal all of Crazy Li: 's jerseys.    Crazy Li, did that help your day be better at all?)

I'm alive... that's basically it :/ Not really "good," at all. Stressed myself out so much that it physically made me sick, sent me into a panick attack and caused me to hyperventilate and vomit. Life is wonderful, isn't it?
