Dig Dug II on the NES is a big difference than the first one.  It is a good game to play.  I really did not seem to understand playing Dug Dug games, but then I got the hang of it and I seemed to like this kind of game.  It is different, once you have played the first one and started playing the second one, you will see a lot of things that are different.  The game is kind of like a puzzle, sort of like Pac-Man and Legend of Zelda on the NES put together.  This game should have been popular in this year because it sure is a classic to me.

Graphics - 9

The graphics are amazing.  It is a whole lot different than the first one.  The difference is that it plays in a 3D image than a 2D.  Another thing is that the effects are a whole lot better and seems to make the players surprised.

Sound - 8

The sound is pretty much the same.  It has normal background music and pretty much the same sound effects (sort of).

Addictiveness - 7

I would play this some of the time.  It is a great game for the NES.  You do not see a lot of NES games that are good, but this one is a good classic game.  I would play it most of the time out of other NES games.

Story - N/A

I do not think that there is a story in this game.  All you do is go around trying to defeat the enemies and continue on to the next level.

Depth - 8

The game has a lot more features than the first one.  For example, the graphics and the way it plays.  You are not underground in this game, you are basically on islands that you can tear apart and defeat your enemies.  Another thing is that the enemies look different and they look a lot better.  Some enemies have the same thing like blowing fire and what not.  It is good to have these kinds of features cause without it, this would be very boring.

Difficulty - 6

The game is quite hard to say.  I will admit, I have played this many times and I do not think that I have beaten at least 5 levels.  I am a newbie at this and I am still trying to get to know the game more often because it is more different.  What I do not like is that you can cut parts of the island, but what is so confusing to me about it is where to exactly cut at cause when I try to cut part of the island and I expect the enemies to die, they do not.  Instead, the island cuts the part of where I am at.  It is so confusing that I would get tired of it and just take a break from it.  I know that you can get more score by cutting part of the island and the enemy is on it, but I would mostly just rather blow them up.  More fun.

Wrap Things Up...

Dig Dug II is very fun.  Just talking about it makes me want to play it.  I recommend trying this game out if you have not already.  I guarantee that you will like it.

I played that in some pack filled with other games from the Arcades and I did not like it that much. I think it is ok but not the best.
