So, it's time, lol. In less than 24 hours, it will have been a year since the last time I posted in this thread. I've been putting this off for a long time, because I want it to be perfect, and the best showcase of what Mafia can actually be in Innocent Town.

It's in this quest for a perfect game that I have avoided so much as posting anything in IT basically for the past year straight, and for that, I apologize. I've been so focused on this game, because of what it means and stands for.

See, Mafia 20 is a big accomplishment for me. When we started IT with the goal of having it be a place for us to have this fun game among other things (I will never forget my co-founder, the_casualty, nor the many people who have helped IT get to where it is now), I had no idea I would still be hosting this game. I gave the reigns over for five games to my friends, the_casualty and silverthundr. They had their own style, but it was clear I just preferred my own blend of Mafia. I wanted the game back and got it.

And now we've hit 20.

It's weird to be typing this, because it almost sounds like a goodbye, doesn't it? In a way, it is. I'm not leaving, nor is IT, or even Mafia. But I think we've seen a fundamental shift in what IT is in the past year. As I've distanced myself, and let pacman1755 handle things, and hired new mods, something I said I'd never do, I have a funny taste in my mouth.

It's the changing of the guard, the end of one era, and the beginning of a new one. And I intend to be a part of both, if a slightly less important part of this new one.

It is with this that I propose the final game of this old era of Mafia. Mafia Legends.

For this game, ONLY PAST PLAYERS MAY SIGN UP. What I have below is what I hope is a comprehensive list of every player to ever play the game, with the amount of times they've played. This may not be 100% accurate. If you aren't summoned, it's not because I hate you. Mafia's history is large, to the point where I have counted a whopping 91(!) unique players to play the game. And all 91 of them (ok, 90 of them, I'm one of the people and I obviously can't play if I'm the host) are invited to play. Regardless of intellect, or how many rules they have broken. Everyone is allowed to play, if they have played before.

I know this will upset some people who may have wanted to play (Furret is a name that comes to mind, as a person who has never played, but expressed interest), but for this game, we need to only allow vets in. It's the closing of the era, and I think it is only right that only members of the old guard can play.

For this to work, we will need at least 11 people. If all 90 people sign up, that would be great and I could make it work, but we need a minimum of 10.

Signups begin after this post, and will run until June 1st, 2016, provided I remember to close it on that date. The game will start a week or so after I close the signups.

Anyways, I think I'm the first who's going to sign up! At the moment I can't say I'm 100% sure whether I will be away for a long time depending on trips my parents may plan, but since there isn't anything planned like that at the moment I would like to play this again. I only played once and I was doing somewhat below average that time, so I want to see how a second round would go. Also, why do the signups run for a month? That seems pretty long to me.

I've known ever since I knew Mafia 20 would be happening this summer that I'd be signing up for it. Pencil me in.

I'll be out of the country from June 25th-July 10th, but will be able to get online at least once per day (I hope), so I should still be able to participate.

legacyme3 : Furret would be a great addition to the game and overall Mafia experience, it really is a shame for him not to be allowed to play. I understand your reasoning, but Is that decision really final? I think most people (if not everyone) would be fine with allowing him to join as an exception, if only to make this an even more remarkable game of Mafia.
