I saw an update from S3RL in his Facebook page and I got immediately reminded of the pool of songs I have from him, so guess what I'm playing right now.

I'm so in love with his music, it's pure happy-go-lucky. He can take samples from anime series, include voices from Vocaloid characters, remix the most unexpected of songs, all with his signature funny theme that always manages to take a smile or even laughs from me.

I was introduced to an artist by a friend that does some very uh... experimental stuff with music. Stuff like having an accordion playing over blast beats with some chiptune and dubstep elements. Describing it makes it sound terrible, but this guy's got to be a musical genius or something because he made it work. He also took video of a chicken pecking at a toy piano and managed to turn it into a song.

Right now, I'm listening to a song of his that has a very dark and eerie vibe to it. It crosses piano, violin and operatic vocals with a kind of dubstep thing coming in and out... A description doesn't really do it justice, so I'll leave it here for anyone else to give a listen. I'd like to hear a version without the electronic influence.

I'm listening to the 24/7 Nightcore stream of the one and only Maikel6311.

Despite the name, while it indeed focuses mostly on Nightcore songs, it also features songs which are Trance or Hands-up. I've been able to hear some pleasant music to liven up this Thursday night, even ageless classics like Komodo by Mauro Picotto.

Totally recommended if you like this kind of fast-paced music.

I currently have The Clash's "Train in Vain," one of the greatest songs of all time, on endless loop.  I use it in the background while I work on my professional writing.  What I generate isn't very exciting but it's done a specific style to keep with the branding standards of my job.  So I follow their rules, plug words in, and try not to fall asleep.

I often go with heavy metal, stuff that melts your face off.  But I toned it down today to get the right vibe.  Clickety clickety go the keys and my job should soon be done so I can move on to more interesting goals.

Right now a VHS of Marilyn Manson - Dead To The World Tour. Normally I don't listen to his music but since the tape was around in our house for a very long time (my brother must have bought it back then), I thought to give it a try.
It's not really that bad and I could rip some of the songs for my own amusement I suppose. Might be a nice little addition to my music collection.
