I've recently been turned onto Fate Stay Night/Fate Zero (and so on). Now unsure how many of you are familiar or not with it but I might as well make as good of a comparison as I can. First off if you are a fan of Hunter x Hunter, this anime definitely has the same escalation and intensity felt in that anime.

As a brief description to what the anime involves, all are in a modern day setting in which a war for the Holy Grail is occurring and 7 mages (Magic Users) are chosen as Master by the grail according to need. In being chosen they simultaneously summon a heroic figure from history as their Servants to battle against each other during the war. With that said, the best one can do for themselves is to check it out and get a feel for it themselves yet I hope what I've explained can give you enough to start with without going into the specific characters and the development I had grown to love throughout the series.

Other Current Animes I am watching: One Piece (Always), Hunter x Hunter (Today's Version), Baka To Test Shaukanjuu, Shingeki no Gyojin (Attack On Titan)
