The Screenshot you submit has to be a screenshot you took with the RGR Plugin and the URL of the image has to be the same url of the image of the screenshot you took, you cannot upload your screenshot somewhere else and use that as your submission, you have to use the actual url of the images that were uploaded when you took the screenshots.

Wow I like the sound of the contest. Should make for some interesting submissions. I will get started on mine this weekend. I have played these games before, but I don't think I have ever looked at the level editor.

Title: The Island Of Wars

Desc: This is the wars between islands, trying to take over the main islands. Red has took over 2 island, Main and other, while Blue took over 3 islands. They both has been trying to destroy each other for 20 years. Now its seem to be close to end... Who will win, by take over the whole group of islands? Blue or Red?

Hi sorry to bother, but I am new to this site and I was wondering where are the screenshots I took using the plug-in. I didn't know where to ask this question and thought this post would be appropriate in asking as it is related to taking screenshots and showing it to people.

The Strategy Is You Must Capture The Buildings In The Center So You Can Have The Only Airport Which Will Let You Get Your Units To Missles.Also All The Islands Are Connected So You Have To Guard Your Base With Units.

Map Name: Lost Battlefield
Game Type: 2v2 Fog of War
Map Description: A battlefield once inhabitaed by bitter rivals bent
on the destruction of the entire land. Its vacant building still reside here
because of the stalemate between the two sides. Claim the land for your own! But be wary. Your fight could be for nothing.
Strategy: To win control of both missile silos helps significantly but... This does not side the game. This is a guerrilla warfare style of fighting where indirect attacks and full on giant numbers of tanks to crush the other teams (most likely huge) army. Its bound to be a stalemate if the players aren't strategic enough which adds another special aspect to the map. Don't be a baddie and tie.

jinkman : I didn't see the scroll bar when you posted your screenshots. What I meant for "you could do that" was that you had the screenshots in that small little stylish box you have in your reply unlike other posters who had their screenshots taking up space in their post when your's didn't.

Vizzed Ghostblood : I dont see how thoes ships can move since ships cant go under bridges in this game.

Gameplay

Nothing says Advance Wars like a map that spells Advance Wars. The islands on the bottom form the shape of a star and moon, where the respective armies start out. The basic strategy would be to get the missile silos located on the letters that spell out "War" before your opponent does. Making good use of the silos and indirect fire will weaken the enemy to the point where a bomber strike or a lander of tanks can finish the job.

Naval Combat: 4 Corners


The small islands were not intentionally made into the shape of a triangle. X3
So yeah, as you can clearly see from this image, you don't have much land to move around on. You're going to have to rely on your naval combat skills if you want to win this map.


While all the bases look the same, only rotated to fit their side of the screen, I still think I have to show them all off anyway. All bases have two factories, two ports, and their HQ. I would expect a little bit of ground combat on this map, after all.


This is your real objective point. You want to get to this airport, as it will give you sole control of the skies, assuming you have the ground control to keep it. Though you should still be aware of missile and other anti-air units. They're still a threat no matter how you look at it.

Strategy: I would rather capture the HQ because they are more nearer to your HQ.

vhero : You should probably move those ports to touch the water. Unless you just want the player to only build a battleship (ranged sea unit) or cruiser (anti-air direct unit) right beside the base, they're useless where they are. Also, like someone said earlier, boats cannot cross bridges in this game, so you may want to clear out some space so the boats can move.

Map Name: Vizzed Islands

Combat Type: Naval, Aerial, Land (any combination of those could win the battle)

Players: 2-3

Background: In the war for the world, the Blue, Green, and Red nations are fighting for the most crucial and strategic war areas. Hence, the Vizzed islands. At one time, the Vizzed islands were used as a nuclear missle testing area. One day, however, things went aury, and the government shut the whole thing down. Now that the world is at war, securing this area will allow any of the factions to wipe out large areas with the push of a button.

For the past few days, all of the factions have been sending in their troops, along with putting together roads, towns, and cities. Things have been heating up, and soon, they are to blow.





How to win:

Red faction- This nation has the advantage of mass production, as it has built many cities, factories, air ports, and naval ports. If you use this to your advantage, you should have an easy shot at winning.

The first thing you should do is build tanks and recons to protect your base from being snagged by the green forces. Once you have built a formidable wall, quickly build subs to wipe out the Blue faction's battleships, and anti-air tanks to wipe out the enemy's helicopters. Supposing you have done this successfully, you should have the upper hand. Expand your forces until you overwhelm your enemy, and win.

Blue faction- The blue faction has two advantages in this battle. One, it controls the most land, giving yourself a cushion in case enemies break their boundaries. The other one is the fact that you have battleships and helicopters at your disposal. What you need to do is not fight the Green and Red (other then to defend yourself) and instead focus on breaking the pipes at the seams, then swooping in and setting off missles. Supposing you do this correctly, you can potentially weaken your enemies to the point where their troops only have 1 HP.

Green faction- This is the hardest team to fight as, although you do have your advantages. This advantage is numbers: you have the most infantry on the map, by far, allowing easy capturing. Most likely, the Blue Faction won't challenge you. What you need to do is rush the red base and start capturing important areas like factories and airports. Once you have a firm control over the red's building capabilities, it is advised that you start building more infantry until you can overwhelm the Red faction and destroy them.

The next challenge for you is to defeat the Blue faction. Now that you have by far the largest amount of funds and buildings, mass produce and spread your troops far out and seperated to avoid getting wiped out by missles. Once you have built up a formidable army, flood the Blue faction's area and defeat them.
