I'd have to say a tie between FFVII Crisis Core and FFX.
FFX because of it's...it's way of story telling and romance. Not many games can bring everything out so amazingly as they did in X.
Crisis Core because of it's way of making an underestemated character into a hero and someone that you don't want to die. Seriously, i knew Zack was gonna die in the beginning and i was going "No big deal." By the end of the game i was going "I don't want Zack to die! Come on, LIVE!!!"

That is true, when romance is put in final fantasy (which it mostly is), it has a better effect.

My fav FF would be FF6. IMO it has the best story and gameplay. Also it's very cool that you can learn spells from your equipped Espers. Maybe I like it that much because it's in nice old 2D. It's just awesome.

I thought it was cool to learn spells that way. I also liked learning from materia(from ff7) even better. But materia was'nt personal; you can level it on cloud and transfer it...
Espers are more personal, as to the character learns it forever, and you can't transfer it. Yeah, espers are cool.

I think final fantasy 7 is the best because they made the movie for it which is called final fantasy 7 advant children
also they made what happened before final fantasy 7 which was called final fantasy 7 crisis core.
