Since some users don't realize they're getting 100 Viz each day they come and even more don't realize their save files are being backed up, each day there will be a box that tells you of these things and when clicked, give you more info. Also it has a blinking new sign which should attract even more attention.

With the rearranging, i think the hacking, programming, and computer games forums should be grouped together. It was always strange that they were separate.

I like it, especially the blinking new, it'll get the messages around quicker.

...When first logged on this morning and saw the flashing "new" sign, I was freightened because I thought for half a second that I had become a newbie again or that I was banned or something. But other than the startle this morning, I'm sure this will be an easier way to get peoples attention instead of them making threads complaining about not getting it.

I haven't seen it at all. Might be because I was on all night or something but yeah.

I noticed it, and I am pleased with this move, especially for those who don't really pay attention to these things.

Will there be any way to turn it off? I mean, I don't mind it too much, but it's certainly not necessary for me and it just feels... in the way .

Davideo7 : yeah I noticed. I also noticed a new board. More organized. The only thing is..I wish it told who moderated which threads and forums etc.

bigNATE : There wont be a way to turn it off because it'll only display once per a day, completely unnecessary for me to go through all that time to make that possible, especially when I've got far more important things to work on

I just discovered it. I think it's a good idea, especially for newbies.

Some users are going to miss it still. lol. The only way to guarantee they see it is to have it be the size of Texas with blaring seizure colors and yelling at them. Actually I would probably laugh if I saw that for the first time coming onto the site.

Have it yell "WINNER WINNER YOU HAS WON 100 Viz FOR COMING!!!"

Of course, I'm insane you see, so take that thought with a grain of salt =P

Although I think it would make some older users irritated. So make there a urn off function? After you are aware you are getting Viz each day. That would be cool =P

Yeah, I'm not even that well known of a member and I had noobs ask me where their Viz was. How am I supposed to know if they did something to deserve Viz. I just tell them, come anytime after midnight sever time and you get 100 Viz. Post and you get Viz. Do almost anything and get Viz. It's seriously hard to not make Viz on this site. lol.

But I hope this cuts down on people asking questions about their Viz. So far, so good, the past couple days I haven't heard a peep.

legacyme3 : I'm terribly sorry to tell you that this will not cut down on people asking questions about their Viz. It may diminish it but won't stop it. Main problem is that people just don't read the rules. When I joined the site all I did was reading David's post on how to get Viz and the rules. It's everything there, one just need to read them! So I never needed to bother people asking "how do I get viz?" Man, people don't read anymore, they don't go for the things, they just want everything delivered to their hands. This is so annoying...

When I say cut down, that is what I meant. To cut down, to diminish, basically anything to reduce the amount of newbs asking the same question. The way I see it, if I only hear 1 or 2 questions a week about it, that's fine. I just dont want to hear it every TWO SECONDS. Gah.
