If Adam and eve were created not born, then why do they have belly buttons?

The Bible says nothing about them having belly buttons, and as we know, belly buttons are formed when the umbilical cord is cut from the baby when the baby is born.

A belly-button is formed by the umbilical cord that connects a baby in the womb to its mother. Adam and Eve were created directly by God, and did not go through the normal birthing process. As such, they probably didn't have belly-buttons.

Is god the egg? Or is Adam and Eve chicken? If god is the egg well it was first, if not then the chickens of Adam and Eve were first. But i get ur point, though w/Gods powers it is kinda a mute question, maybe.

|--| : Well, again, there is nothing in the Bible that suggests that Adam and Eve had belly buttons, so that illustration is not accurate. Sometimes, people use illustrations to help people think about things. For example, I don't think we know what Jesus looked like, but people make paintings of him with certain characteristics so that people can have some image in their minds. But that does not mean that He looks like this.

This is true, but I go more towards no belly button, just because there is no mention of it, and the idea of what the belly button actually is. It is basically a scar. It is the opening that nutrition goes into the baby from the mother. It does not have any other role. That is why I really think that Adam and Eve do not have a belly button, since they are created by God in the beginning.

Well, Omnipotence demands existence (part of what perfection is), so God needs to exist before being able to create.

With omnipotence could you not after being created, have it arranged so that certain things happened b4 u were created?

fightorace : with belly button. It can be, unless an atheist use some way to bring this topic into trying to prove God wrong, which I know there are people who would do that.

As for omnipotence, we need to be careful of associating "omnipotence" or "Almighty" to "God can do anything." This is a false statement. Example: God cannot sin, or it would go against His perfect nature.

We talked about this in Christian Thought class. We know that God can do miracles, God is almighty. However, from observation and from the Bible, God cannot do something that would go against His nature, or if it deals with logical contradiction, or if it comes to breaking a promise He made.

Ok, maybe i should ask, DO ADAM AND EVE HAVE A BELLY BUTTON. That seems to be a better question, and will not arise so much argument.
