My favorite glitch would have to be MissingNo.

As for most hated, no glitch really comes to mind right now but there was a glitch I discovered in Metroid Prime(don't know if I'm the first to discover it though). It was in the Phendrana Drifts after you get the Gravity Suit. There were two security drone things in this little tunnel so I stood outside of the door & took care of them. I walked in as the second drone was exploding but it was alive long enough to set the alarm off & lock me in the tunnel. Since there were no drones to kill to unlock the doors, I essentially locked myself in the tunnel & had to redo that area. I'm thankful I had saved beforehand.

I don't know if ANYbody knows this glitch. One day I started playing Majora's mask that was in my drawer for like a year and I haven't played it in a long time and when I started playing it, all my files were gone!! I was sooo mad but I decided to just start another file. What was weird was that when I started playing, I had all ocarinas! All the item slots were ocarinas and I thought that it was so cool that I had all ocarinas. The only downside was that every 30 seconds or so, I just died for no reason and it was impossible for me to get further. I reset it cause I got so annoyed and all of a sudden, all my old files that disappeared came back!!!! If anybody knows what this glitch is called or how this can be recreated please let me know!!

My favorite glitch is in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, once when I was playing 2 player mode in it with my cousin, we went to one of those country places with all the rednecks and whatnot, it had a lot of little houses in the town. So I jumped on the roof of one of the houses, and my cousin shot a guy who was sitting on the porch. When I jumped down he disappeared. Not that interesting, i know, but if you witnessed it it's pretty funny.

My least favorite is in the first Crash Bandicoot for PSX, I don't know if it's just my copy (I did get it used from GameStop a while back for $5) but mine freezes quite a bit. Like for example when I try to go to the screen where you put in cheats I can't put in cheats or exit. it's very frustrating.

The orb jump glitch in Resistance 2 is pretty useful which requires the spec op to stand on an object then shoot an electric orb to the ground then jump on it. I used to be able to do that but now it's been very difficult for me to do.

best and worst at the same time: Socom (the first one) US Navy SEALS.. in online play, you could go up and come down a ladder in a certain way, and you would go through the floor and could run around in the walls and underground and such.
worst: because cheaters are really obnoxious and the rounds take sooo long to finish so you can finally respawn.
best: cause when EVERYbody gets into the walls, it's almost kind of fun.

In my opinion the best glitch is the pause glitch from Mega Man (pause while hitting an enemy with the Thunder Beam to do extra damage). It makes the fights against the Yellow Devil and the Wilymachine MUCH easier.

The worst glitch? I'm not sure, but a particularly bad one is the level cap glitch in an SNES RPG called The 7th Saga (the game caps your level lower than it should). Considering how hard that game is, anything that hinders your progress like that should be hated.

Best glitch would have to be the Mega Man Pause trick glitch, which you would use the "2nd Pause Button" and the Thunder Beam to damage enemies over and over again.

Worst would be the one Surgiac mentioned.

KazilDarkeye : Phantasy Star 4 also had that level cap thing. It might have been intentional on that game's part, though. Might be wrong.

Now anything coming out of Spyro Enter the Dragonfly is a bad glitch.

KlawedFlaw : I'm not saying the glitch was that it had a level cap, I'm saying the cap was lower that what it should've been.

There is another fun Mega Man related glitch in (I think) Mega Man 3; I think if you use the second controller's D-Pad to move into a bottomless pit, you'll survive and be immune to damage until you pick up a health item. I'll doublecheck this.

Some more Mega Man Glitches;

Good
In any Mega Man game, despawning enemies by moving so they are on the edge of the screen.
In Mega Man 3 it is possible to obtain Rush Jet without beating Needle Man - you must beat Shadow Man, then on the weapon select menu select Shadow Blade, then (while still in the menu) press right then start and collect a weapon energy pellet.
Also in Mega Man 3, when using Rush Jet if you keep jumping up and down you use barely any energy.

Bad
Mega Man 3 in Snake Man's stage - those floating platforms can easily shove you into a bottomless pit.

In Beyblade G Revolution, you can fly to any tournament location, even if you haven't finished those areas, by leaving the tournament area at the first tournament and flying home. That made me lol when I found it out. As for my fave, it's the sixth item trick in the original Pokemon games.
