Please report problems with all games here. Please give thorough details of the problem so that I can work on fixing the problem for each game. Say what's wrong with it, name of game, which system it's for, etc.

I'm still having problems with the Pokemon Stadium games... must be a Windows 7 thing, 'cause several games (like Rayman 2, Mega Man 64, Gex 64, Bomberman Hero... let's just say quite a few that I've tried) work OK on my XP desktop, and then don't load at all on my Win. 7 laptop. The problem is still this, only with white instead of blue:

but my guess is it's not working with Windows 7. It's much easier to list the games that do work on my 7 laptop than those that haven't:
Super Mario 64
Earthworm Jim 3-D (finally!)
Powerpuff Girls: Chemical X-Traction (albeit with graphical glitches)
Yoshi's Story (been a while since I checked this one, I'll get back to you if there are any changes w/ the latest plugin)
Mario Party; MP 2; MP 3
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Duck Dodgers (although that one crashed near the end of the intro sequence)

Those are all that have continuously worked that I have tried... although some haven't been tested on the latest plugin. All problems are on a Windows 7 laptop with the latest FireFox and Chrome.

The Legend of Zelda, The - Majora's Mask needs the expansion pack in order to play. All it say is that the expansion pack must be installed to play the game.

Donkey Kong 64 is unbeatable on Vizzed. The barrel shooting parts in the second level don't work. Instead of flying up in the sky and landing in a barrel, you just fall straight back down.

It would also be awesome if you could help me get Firefox to work (just installed it) It won't load any page.

Davideo7 : Yeah. When that DK thing comes that switches to a different screen (spinning DK symbol) you can only see half of it. The game sometimes shows graphical problems when you are on the DK island (game's starting point)

Davideo7 : As soon as you start. Everytime you enter a barrel, room, etc, you see the spinning DK symbol.

Davideo7 : Thanks. Donkey Kong 64 is a epic game that I once owned, but never finished before I lost it. Same with Banjo-KAzooie. But that game isn't working, because I can't get to the title screen anymore.

Well Kirby 64 the Crystal Shards has gotten a little glitchy, like the health meter sometimes isn't shown, and at some point in the first level. The screen goes completely black.

I just spent the past few hours trying to fix the video plugins for these games and many other games. I think I got some of them fixed, could you guys please verify for me if any of these are fixed? They appear fixed for me.

every time i go on bomberman hero (n64). at the bottom of the screen it says the controls, but every time i try to follow these controlls nothing happens. i only know the a button (Z) the B button (X) and the start button (ENTER). it also says the keys for saving and loading a state. again, they don't work

And another issue is the whole memory card or whatever. You have to press shift 3 times in a row for the message to go away.

Davideo7 : It didn't work before, but it did work but nothing was on the screen at the time. Now it works. Just the text that I have problems with.

Harvest Moon 64 loads up but then the screen goes completely black and you can not get any farther than this. Not even sound comes from the game ( with pokemon stadium it was black for a minute and the sound worked but then the picture came through.) and I waited 5 minutes and restarted with still no results. You have a great site here and it is nice to see an owner so dedicated to making sure everything works out.

Im still having massive issues with the video game pokemon snap. the game does not save the pictures you take, nor can you actually look and turn the camera. Please let me know if any work is beign done to fix this issue. Im sorry for repeating this problem, but I thought Id post it here in the N64 thread as well..

Belmontzar : I've had this problem too... but it has to be a ROM problem, you can move perfectly in the menus, yet the camera itself won't move on the levels.

tom760 : May be you can help with my problems... assuming you come on and see this. I'm pretty sure that it's a compatability issue with Windows 7... er...

I'm having a lot of issues with Kirby 64 too. Continuous music skipping, freezing, epileptic seizure screen glitches. When you collect stars it doesn't update them until you enter another screen, everytime I have to reset it gets rid of all my lives. Now it's frozen on the second level of the Aqua Star and won't do anything at all. I tried leaving it for a bit and it just went to a black screen. I really want to continue playing, it's my favourite game.

I don't know if you have been notified of this, but I was trying to play Super Mario 64, All I get is audio but i don't see anything, just a black screen. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

Same error is happening to me I've told you David about it the day you fixed the video issue. But in return the sound starts to skip. Wondering if anyone else is having same sound issues at all. This was on Shadows of the Empire, but you did fix the video aspect of it which was most important cause nothing worse then the game freezing up but audio is also nice to have

Gonna go try it again see if it does the same audio skipping as it did earlier.

EDIT: When you go to play game it appears with a screen with static. Pressing F6 bypasses, other buttons might too. Thought I would let you know. And just tested it again, audio is skipping.

hoguan : I can second his post. I just tried to play it and the only thing that does not seem to work are the directional commands. I tried all my keyboard controls for the Joystick, D-Pad, C-Pad, and triggers. None of which moved my cursor on the screen.

The sound for Majora's Mask is glitchy... It cuts out/skips as soon as you leave an area you're in.

I have tried to play Glover,Kirby 64,Mario Party 2 and Bomberman 64 the second attack and none of them start i get a black screen thats it, Bomberman 64 some what works but theres blocks of black on the screen and music is at normal speed but the rest is slow and for some reason when it showed bomberman in one shot he had no arms,legs,or head. I have the newest plugin and my computer is up to date. I have no idea what to do

1. screen lock when you play classic version of ms pacman

I'm having trouble with Ogre battle 64.
The game runs fine, with the exception of a little lag, but when I boot it up half the backgrounds are distorted with what looks like green static.
I can still play the game fine but this is very distracting and ruins some of the games enjoyment.
other N64
game seem to work fine so Im not sure what the problem is.
I also tried it on another computer but had the same problem.

Im running my computer on windows XP, and have a fairly good graphics card, so if its a simple problem with screen resolution or whatever I would be extremely grateful for any advice.

EDIT:I also tried playing some more earlier and when I was in a battle the characters kept disappearing, and then the entire game crashed.

Davideo7 : When ever i try to play Super Mario RPG when i go to equip gear it sometimes freezes and when i get the 5th star when it is added to the other 4 it freezes again please reply and help.

Megaman234 : That's probably because the rom isn't fully supported with the emulator, completely out of my control, sorry.


For most of these N64 problems, different games are going to work for different people, this is all due to everyone having different graphic cards. Most of these problems are out of my control and some may never be fixed. However, I'll invest as much money as I can to make sure the next release of the Plugin fixes some of these problems.

Davideo7 : What about the directional problems with the pokemon stadium games? I don't have that problem with any other game.

Davideo7 : What do you mean direction problems? Some games may actually require that you set up a pc controller, that might be one of them.

Megaman234 : Perhaps you could look up the problem online, or maybe look up cheats that would help you bypass it. The emulator being used is ZSNES.

Davideo7 : I don't mean to pester you, but what I mean is that you cannot move the cursor through the use of the emulator's joystick, D-Pad, or C-Pad. In the Pokemon Stadium games you are unable to scroll through the various menus because of this, making gameplay impossible. Does that make more sense?

When I try to play Kirby 64, whenever I go into gameplay, it just keeps at a black screen, and I can't play!

Im able to play super nintendo games but when i try to play kirby dreamland 3 it starts to load but then it goes to saying emulator closed every time i try to play it

Davideo7: I'm having trouble with tactics ogre for the GBA, after I select my name and do the fortune telling thingy the game crashes my entire browser.

Problem 1: When trying to use the Vizzed RGR plugin emulator, the game doesn't even start, the emulator works fine with other games however.
The second the game window pops up the little status message at the bottom says "Emulator closed"

Problem 2: When using the Java emulator, Simon's sprites are all jumbled, the game is perfectly playable and there's even a room where Simon
looks normal until you move the the next area, but it's still annoying playing with it.

I just downloaded the plugin needed and tried playing the games I wanted to after I restarted my computer and every time my computer says plug-in not found. can you please helpme. (I know this must be very boring for you as well as annoying, having to answer to a lot of these problems and I am sorry to bother you.)

i was trying to play ghouls 'n goblins, but none of the controls work for my keyboard. actually, that's not true. mythe enter key works, so it allows me to "push start" and enter the game from the main menu, as well as pause the game. i don't have a computer controller thing, so could you tell me what to do to fix it?

Davideo7 : emerald 386 wont save for me, and when i save in-game, it just gets corrupted or something

two problems really one i can't get any games to work even ones that worked fine last night. the games re upload themselves and when they finish i get an error saying it didn't upload right or i'm playing another game and it can't play both of which should be untrue. the other problem i'm having is with the sonic battle game i want to play it but i get something about it having a problem i'd say more but the thing it talking like it's from Sweden in which case i can't fully understand it.

Hey David, do you know what's up with some N64 games when it says Gfx cannot be drawn in windowed mode? It says to press Alt+Enter, but nothing happens when I press it =(

not sure if it is already known to someone but when i was playing pokemon shiny gold x and fought twins at the 2nd gym, the pokemon was split into two, then when i looked at my pokemon while fighting none were shown, then after i got back to the fight the pokemon also disappeared from the fight... i could still fight though, but after defeating on of the enemy pokemon i fainted and in the pokemon center the screen started to fill up with pokeballs without stopping

I don't know if I should be making my own topic about this or what, but in the FF7 NES ROM, after I get the buggy, if I step out of the buggy, I can't get back on it. I push every button 100 times and Cloud just stands there on it. So I'm essentially stuck in the game as far as I can tell. I didn't save it after getting off of the buggy, but I really don't feel like going through certain parts again only to get further in the game to find out a flag wasn't set off from clearing earlier parts that I was forced to skip. Maybe I'll have to.

Any idea why this might be?

Hello, I have been trying to play n64 games on here but none that I have tried seem to work for me. The game loads fine, audio and graphics work well, the only problem is that the games do not respond to my keyboard at all. I have tried all keys, and I've brought up the help screen. The game I've most recently had this problem with is Harvest Moon 64. I have windows 7. Please help.

shadowofthepast : 3 things you can do:

1. Use a different internet browser such as Firefox
2. Use a PC Controller
3. Disable IE Protect Mode

Any of the above solutions will solve your problem.

legend of zelda: oracle of seasons, and legend of zelda: oracle of ages load to the capcom logo at the very first of the game, and go no further. (gameboy color)

In Mega Man Wily Wars, the only way I'm only able to save with save states. And, because the game resets itself every time I beat one of the Mega Man games, even with save states, I still can't beat the whole game!

Jimbei : You don't see a 'Play Game' button on the game pages? If a game doesn't have one, that's probably because the game doesn't work.

Finally a thread about this. I keep trying to play Star Wars Rogue Squadron for N-64 but it either never gets past the gray screen or it will be at the black screen and it will say at the bottom "save state download failed". It won't load past that point, just a black screen or a gray screen. Could you help me?

I'm having trouble with Donkey Kong Country 2. It is saying something about registering the domain again and that they updated stuff. It sent me to some website called Krypton...something... Anyways, it was confusing.

Got a problem with Tenchi Muyou! Game Hen. It's locking up during the battle against Kusumi. The game just stops but still plays the music. It even froze up when I went to a different area on the ship to level the characters up. Could you please fix this problem? I really like this game and would really like to continue it. Thanks.

Mega Man 64 for Nintendo 64 has graphic glitches such as invisible trees, walls, etc... and every time I play it, it crashes my computer and the whole system restarts.

Not sure if its been mentioned yet, but legend of zelda majoras mask doesnt play. it says i need to install a N64 EXPANSION PAK. same with mario 64. Donkey kong 64 wont play. at the start when all the birds are flying around and the camera enters the brown cave a watermelon pops on top of the screen, dissapears and than it all freezes. Hope you can fix these they are all deadly games! thanks
