Ok time to disperse the confusion...

hoguan : See bignatealpha's summon below.

bignatealpha : This thread is for inventing your own pokeball to catch pokemon. Whether your imagination tells you this is gonna be for games or real life, it's the same thing. Lol

AdorableCookie : I like the idea. Another addition to the lineup? Pokeball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, and then comes your Legend Ball. I like it.

vizwiz123 : Awesome idea with the Tracker Ball! That'd make things really handy for pokemon that run away too easily like Abra and...every single pokemon in the Safari Zone. Lol But awesome idea!

dramabethie : Awesome idea as well! Sucks that it's not that effective though, but in hindsight it's worth it, seeing the fact that it'll basically make your pokemon rare. Lol

megarevolution1 : Sadly, that kinda sounded like the Heavy Ball when I first read it, but I know what you're thinking. Cool idea!

xaphan : ...um... It's stealing if you try to catch a pokemon owned by someone else, and that's against pokemon laws Lol... That's Pokemon 101 basics right there. Lol

This is the most summons I've ever made at one time!!!

Zeldisaster : Yea, I guess... anyways, you forgot to comment on my ball! Y'know, the moist ball: "It uses an 8x multiplier for the catch rates of all fire type Pokemon (as good as a quick ball on the first turn). And the reasoning is, they're weakened by the moisture inside the ball. It would have a single negative effect, lowering the Sp. Def. of the fire Pokemon inside by one (only one, though ). Or, it could raise the Sp. Def. of a water type by 1 (only one though, and for water types it works like a normal Pokeball)."

Yes, Nate, your idea for the Moisture Ball and hoguan's idea were both awesome too...

Geez... Lmao. I didn't comment on a lot of people's. These are just the ones that sparked my attention. All of which were only fueled by yours and hoguan's disagreement/confusion.

The Root ball, when a Pokemon is caught in it, a root is attached to it from the ball. When it battles, the root will go underground into the opposing Pokemon, and it will suck out all of the energy if the attacks don't.

I would make a Cheap Ball, which failed on every Pokemon but legendary ones. Also, if you had 1 of them, it would never run out.

I'd make the Shrubbery Ball.

- It has a X10 multiplier on grass types
- It has a X15 multiplier on any pokemon found in a tree like Heracross
- It works like a regular pokeball on any other pokemon but if you catch a pokemon with one type it gets a grass subtype.

Or I'd make the Bomber Ball.

- It has a X10 multiplier on any pokemon that can learn TM explosion
- Instead of the X10 multiplier pokemon that can naturaly learn selfdestruct or explosion get X15 multiplier and their ability gets replaced with "after life" which means it gets revived after using selfdestruct or explosion

I would make a hate ball or something. It has, like, a 200x multiplier to all pokemon, but they really REALLY dislike you. It would kind of be like the opposite of a Friend or Cherish ball. Sadly, I don't think anyone will like this, as it goes against all of the Sublimal messaging Nintendo sends us to love our virtual and pixelated palls.
I really like the idea of a Tracker Ball, but how would it work? If you saw an Abra, used the Tracker Ball, it teleports, and then you find it again, would it be the same Abra?

How about the Miracle Ball?
It has an Incredibly Low Catch Rate but if it actually works, It doubles the caught pokemon's stats and Maximizes happiness.

Another is the TM ball which will teach a random or previously selected move to the pokemon caught.
The downside is the low catch rate again.

Just a few ideas.

Blue : let's say you are lucky enough to catch and Arceus in the Miracle Ball. So your Arceus now has base stats of 240 in each category? That's more than any individual stat besides Blissey's HP and more than the total stats of a few pokemon! (Magikarp, to name one...)
Of course, with the TM ball, I could reset catching Magikarp (with a ridiculously high catch rate, cancelling out the TM ball's low multiplier) to get a Magikarp with Sacred Fire or something. Then, evolve into Gyarados and world Domination... (Or Abra with Ice Beam/ Thunder Bolt/ Flamethrower/ Eruption, etc)

Blue : that would make competitive battling SOOO cheap then. I like it.
(Just imagine:
Player 1 sent out Alakazam!

Player 2 sent out Garchomp!

Alakazam traced the foe's Sand Veil!
Alakazam used Ice Beam!
It's super effective! Garchomp fainted!
Player 2 sent out Rayquaza!
Alakazam used Ice Beam!
It's super effective! Rayquaza fainted!
Player 2 sent out Tyranitar!
Tyranitar's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm (activating Alakazam's traced ability, Sand Veil)
Alakazam used Aura Sphere!
etc)
That would put almost anything into the uber tier that has a decent Attack or Special Attack. I would love to sweep a team with a Sacred Fire Magikarp... maybe it should be limited to where you only have just one though?

~sakura~ : The idea was that it would appear in the games like a Master ball. Only one. Or it would be a prize for succeeding in something challenging.

Besides, if everyone had one then no one would be to powerful.

... which defeats the point of creating them at all.

Hmm...

It's an interesting theory, I admit, but how would it be described with in-game text? "A mystical ball which teaches a random TM move to the pokemon it catches".
I really want one of your Miracle Balls though. Like said TM Ball, it should only be available once and should not be tradeable or hackable (I'm not sure how they could program that) so only one of your pokemon could have double stats. Perhaps it is the ball that you receive your starter in?

~sakura~ : Yeah, the starter ball! Extra high stats compared to those of other versions of the same Pokemon, and extra friendliness for you choosing it as your first! I like that!
Blue : Sacred Fire wouldn't be teachable. It's a TM ball, remember? Meaning only TM's and HM's can be taught. And that Alakazam is already possible, only rather than Aura Sphere it can learn Focus Blast.

bignatealpha : Oops. I kind of have the blame for that. I just meant to use an example to show that the TM Ball would make Competitive Battling so cheap.
Plus, Aura Sphere is less powerful but far more accurate than Focus Blast, a decrease in power I would rather take than the accuracy (Aura Sphere has a 100% chance of dealing a base 90 damage, Focus Blast has a 30% chance of doing 0 damage). Plus, Alakzam can't learn any of the bolt-beam moves that would make it a lot better in competitive battling, such as Ice Beam or Thunder Bolt. The only non- STAB special moves it learns are Hyper Beam (not used for obvious reasons), Shadow Ball (already in most sets), Shock Wave (with a 60 base power), Focus Blast (see above), Energy Ball (already in most sets), and Charge Beam (in some sets). Giving it Ice Beam or Thunderbolt would make it deadly, almost like the sets we see in Generation I or II (elemental punches, psychic, and the punches were SPECIAL!).
Ok, sorry about my Alakzam rant. It was so useful in before the Physical/ Special split. (all information from Bulbapedia)
Starter Ball is now my new favorite.

I suppose mine would be the Power Maniac Ball, or something along the lines of that.

Let's check the statistics. It only works for legendaries, as signified by the PokeDex. It multiplies the catch rate by 1/3, making it near impossible to catch legendaries, for they have a catch rate of 3. (3 * 1/3 = 1.) However, if they DO happen to get caught, a screen would come up, showing ALL of the moves they could learn, including TMs, HMs, Moves they learn naturally, Egg Moves, Move Tutor Moves, etc., everything! And you would get to choose the 4 moves that you want out of ALL of them! For example...

#743 (Random Number) Name: Exaplem (Kewl name, right?! )
Moves: (Random words) 15, alphabet, Wikipedia, X Game, SLap, Quack, seventeen, and SUperBoss.

If you wanted SuperBoss, X Game, 15, and Quack, but it was extremely difficult to get all of them into one moveset, this ball could let you do that! I suppose that you'd want a lot, since it'd be near impossible to get them, but they're still of high value, so I suppose I'd sell 'em for about -P-15000.

Let me know what you think, 'cause I know this can be improved.
