So from 4 until 5 or randomly between 4 to 5? In other words, is it consistently going down at the same exact time every day?

Allow me to test it out tonight Lol. I'm on Vizzed early morning anyway, so I'll be able to figure out the time down to the second. It's sad, but helpful at the same time. Lol

From what I've seen it just happens once during that time and is usually down for an hour or two. It stops working completely.

Zeldaisaster is right. Every time that I faced this problem was between 4-5AM(vizzed time). But I didn't knew if it had started earlier.

Ok I figured out the problem, this might be confusing for some of you lol.

When I initially set up the new server, I picked 'Central America' time zone instead of 'Central Time (US & Canada)' by accident. An easy mistake, they're right next to each other and their GMT is the same...usually. Now we in the 'Central Time' are currently in a daylight savings time which means our GMT is currently different so when I set the daily backup to happen at 3, it was really happening at 4 which is why I was confused that the server would go down at 4 instead of 3 and so for the moment I wasn't assuming it was because of the backup.

Now looking into the daily backup I have set up, it's currently set to disable the server during the backup. I just unchecked this, this was not suppose to be checked so it's something I simply overlooked.

Btw, this also explains a few other problems on the board that some have seen such as the italic name starting and ending at off times and the daily birthday Viz not being awarded at the correct time.



In other words, the Server should not be going down for the backup anymore but someone please make a quick check in the morning just in case. Also thanks for all those who reported this and gave me information to find the problem and fix it.

i shouldnt have any problem with checking that if the site goes down or not the time it did before.

Well, I think that I got the main idea of what you've said. And I think that there will be no problem this morning. All the changes that you've mentioned are enough(in my point of view) to solve the problem.
And yes, finally we have a correct birthday reminder now, although I prefered knowing one day before who is going to have birthday the following day, in order to buy a present,lol.
