I am going to go with Team Plasma. The whole story of N trying to liberate pokemon to the finding out Ghetsis basically wanting to rule the world.

I do really feel like the Truths and Ideals part of the story blended too much together but the fact you get the False leader of a team to consider maybe I am wrong to force something to happen and see things are actually better as they are.

Team Rocket is classic, but I think I'd have to give it to either Team Galactic or Team Plasma. Both teams are led by some of the best villains in the series (Cyrus and Ghetsis respectively). While Team Galactic's goals are cosmic in scale, Team Plasma has a philosophical angle (Ghetsis wants to liberate Pokémon from their trainers).

Team Aqua and Magma are also up there for me as well even though their logic to flood the Earth or expand the land is hilarious and extreme in a cartoonish sort of way, lol.

Overall, I'll say it's between Team Galactic and Team Plasma for me, with Team Aqua and Magma close behind.

My favorite would be Team Galactic. The gen 4 games was my first real introduction into pokemon and i have many hours played on them, so Team Galactic is pretty memorable for me. The four Team Galactic commanders are some of the most challenging fights you will encounter in the game, especially early game. Commander Mars with her Puruglyis piece of work lol

I like team Plasma, but I feel their story kind of fell a bit short. I loved N, their leader.

As many other people have said, Magma and Aqua are probably my favorite. They feel the most well rounded in general, and I love their theme. Galactic is close behind though.

I think Team Galactic was probably the scariest evil team story wise. The most well put together organization as well. Cyrus was a commanding presence with some challenging battles throughout the game. Especially in Platinum they really went all out with him and his goals/achievements.

Their outfits were stupid though
