What's your favorite mode of transportation? I have never driven before, buses are too crowded, and flying is a hassle. But I like trains. You get to see way more of the world from a train than a car or bus and I love the complexity of subway systems and maps. Plus there's so many cool looking ones. What about you?

1. Walking. If the place I'm going is less than a mile away and there are sidewalks, I'm walking there.

2. Driving. If the place I'm going is between 2 and 500 miles away, I'm driving there.

3. Flying. If the place I'm going is over 500 miles away, I'm flying there.

4. Everything else. I do not like public transportation at all. The only exception is if I'm flying somewhere and the public transportation in that place is efficient enough and cheap enough for me to not want to spend the extra money to rent a car.

I like driving or biking, only two ways I've ever had to travel. I don't go on walks much, takes too long.

Let's see cars took me a long time to get over a bad accident I was in 2011ish, flying was cool the first time but I was dreading it the 2nd, walking I can't do much without a lot of pain cause of the way my feet are shaped, but hey I loved trains both times I was in London.

My favorite is and has always been train. I don't mind if it's the subway, a tramline, a regional express... I'll always prefer using these than any other transport no matter what. Of course, if the distance is too short and the weather isn't extremely hot or cold, I'm perfectly okay with walking, and in fact I don't mind if the train is rather far away from my destination.

I've tried driving, but it's not meant for me and I also don't like being stuck in a car for long. Buses are a good option, but like you say can sometimes be too crowded, even more when they decide to put shorter buses on a line that most of the time uses longer, articulated ones due to passenger volume. However, sometimes happens the opposite and they put articulated buses on lines and/or in times where not many people uses them, allowing for a very smooth ride on a big beast you sometimes wonder how it can even go through certain parts.

And well, flying to me is only a last option. If we have little time or the destination is far away then I see no choice but using it. I don't like it much and airports are sometimes far away from the city, and not always it's easy to get to the city loaded with luggage.

Considering I live in a place you are forced to drive everywhere I feel like I have to say driving.

When I went on a trip last I definitely liked being able to walk almost anywhere. It was way too crowded for bikes for that to be option. If it was walkable but not crowded I would choose the bike option.

My autism has granted me with the hyper fixation of public transit. My favorite would be train, more specifically, subway train. This mostly comes from the fact that i have ridden the NYC subway line most of my life. Though i haven't lived in the city for quite a while i still remember how to great through the subway system like the back of my hand.

The bullet trains in China were amazing. They were super smooth, very fast, and very spacious. I would ride them everyday if we had good bullet train support here in the US. Instead we have garbage AMTRAK.

So, I just drive everywhere. I like driving. My main hobby is sim racing, so I must love driving. As long as it isn't too far and I get cramped.

I hate flying, but only because I am so tall it is uncomfortable and I can't sleep on the plane. My 15 hour flight to China was miserable.

Barathemos: I've never been on one in China, nor have I ever been, but the ones in Japan are amazing too. Everyone needs to ride a bullet train at least once in their life.

I take the bus everywhere I go, recently they unveiled a new Primary Transit system that cancelled some stops and altered some routes and changes some schedules. I took my first trip on it with the new system today and it went smoothly, however some people are complaining about it (and yeah I can see their point of view I had opted to study the new routes because I still use the bus to get to work and I hope to take a practice trip under the new system soon)

Up to like a handful of miles? Bicycle. There's something really peaceful about riding through nature, see all kinds of people or landmarks on your way to your destination. Plus it's super easy to get on, go somewhere and park it against a fence or something. Very little transition time needed.

I also love trains for longer distances. Like everyone I know I complain about our railway company here in Belgium, but all in all we have it pretty good. I'm quite fortunate in that I'm located in the centre of a main line between our two biggest cities, so I can get to either in like 20 minutes or so.

Hate flying, mainly due to fear. Humans are not supposed to be in a chunk of metal so high in the sky.
