I had to take our dogs to their vet appointment at noon today and then run to the UPS store to drop off some Christmas Amazon returns afterward, so I had to be up by 11:30 AM. Thankfully, I got a decent night of sleep (a whopping 5.5 hours lol), so today wasn't too much of a drag.

I woke up around 2:30 in the afternoon today. Sleep just didn't come to me last night. No matter how much I tossed and turned, I couldn't get comfortable enough to doze off until the wee early hours of the morning (I think I fell asleep some time between 6-7 AM...). I have a sleeping mask I sometimes put over my eyes that helps, so I might have to bust out the heavy artillery and use it tonight if this persists.

I woke up at noon today, which is much earlier than usual, and for once, I feel well-rested. I turned in at a reasonable hour last night. For once, sleep came very easy to me since yesterday was both exhausting and stressful. I also had a fair bit of stuff to get done today, so I'm hoping my busy day leaves me tired enough that I can just fall asleep instantly again. It's rare for me to have any easy time with sleep, so I'm going to try to take full advantage of this momentum.

I woke up to finally begin my day at 1:30 PM. This was after initially waking up at 10 AM and again at noon only to get comfortable again and doze off. It was cold and bleak outside and for once I didn't have any errands to run, so I don't feel too bad about sleeping in today. I won't be able to do it again tomorrow because of the snow we're expecting to get, though. If it's a fairly light dusting, I should be able to finish shoveling the driveway and clearing off the cars in about an hour.
