There's not much to play for today for anybody. A quick glance at the leaderboard shows that the only thing that catches my eye is that I have to fight to keep David off my back and keep him from taking my 4th place finish. 

At the very last moment, despite my best efforts, Yuna decided I'm not worthy of finishing runner-up in Green and relegated me to 3rd again. Like we say in here, swimming this much to drown at the shore...

I'm glad the battle for Red is over. In the last days, I started some business that has drained me of almost all my energy. I'll be taking a time off to recharge batteries a bit, but my business is not done yet and thus I'll have to get back to it by the weekend. May the renovated energies help me complete it before it gets prolonged too much.

Looks like I ultimately won't fall very short of 400 points. I now regret those days where I couldn't even score a handful of points, but I guess I also saved stamina for the last push. I'll be walking away with two jerseys, one banner and several nice milestones, so I achieved way more than I'd have ever imagined.

EX Palen wins the Tour de Vizzed!

Even though this TdV had the least amount of competition compared to any other TdV competition, it had 3 new users competing with 1 of them getting 10 points. Competition among new users has been incredibly rare during the last few competitions so I'm hoping that's a sign that we might see a small increase in new user activity in 2018.

I admit that activity was incredibly low, but I at least had an interesting challenge for Red. If it was Red which didn't have any activity, I can say that maybe I wouldn't have won this TdV for not having a real reason to push more than necessary.

I've almost cleared out any goals I could set for the TdV. Blue and Green are out of my reach, so maybe the only thing I can aim for now is Gray. I'll become a veteran by the time the next TdV comes around, so if by then we get the "true" Gray awarded to users registered 5+ years ago I could have a chance of clearing all my TdV goals just this year. We'll have to see who is competing, because many veteran users have showed time and time again a performance way superior to mine.

I really hope we see some activity in July. This month was overall disappointing, in part due to the decision taken by some users to stay away from the site while the competition lasted. I hope nobody will take such decision then and the Summer TdV can still stand strong.

EX Palen : Congrats on your insane performance this TdV! I've been watching only slightly this time but almost every day I logged on you had a jersey.

Pacman+Mariofan : Actually, I didn't get that many jerseys. Only in the last third did I get several of them, but in the early days I was basically performing well overall to score enough to keep the skittles name.

But yeah, Red always needs a lot of effort to win. There's many people out there with a good enough average pace all year long, beating them just one month has almost exhausted me. I could have gone an "easier" way with reviews, I even got one written during the first week that I never had the need to post, and also overburning myself with reviews would not affect my staff roles like it has actually happened.

Wonder how long the jerseys will be on this time, since we are doing the TdV bi-annually, rather than every 3 months now.

Any idea if the TdV is going to be replaced with another contest of some sort? A logo creation, a game creation, etc etc. Just curious.
