Mine and Craft, Mine and Craft, Mine and Craft all day loooooooong Zlinqx
Guess who's back! You missed me didn't you? Hehehe... eheheh... heh.
Anyways today I'm writing a review of none other game then the #1 most popular indie game ever made (and probably the most modded game as well) Minecraft!
You know since Microsoft acquired mojang recently I thought it would be the perfect time.Anyways I don't got much to say about this game... I got it back in April-May to play on the minecraft server... And that was around 4-5 months ago and I've played this game for almost every day since... Go figure. Also I'm approaching this a bit differently then my regular reviews due to diversity of the game but hopefully you'll enjoy reading this review anyways.
[Skips this part]
Graphics: 8
As famous as this game is for being one of the most engrossing games out there, it's also famous for the not so eye pleasing graphics to some which in case you didn't know is voxel based. However I do think this graphics style works pretty well with the games main elements which for me would be mining, crafting and building. Another nice thing about the graphics style is that even your toaster can run it (even my trusty 3 year old laptop). And frankly I think it was a better decision then to go with a more realistic graphics style that would age in just a few years. But I think it really depends on your preferences some might say the uniqueness and simplicity of the graphics has a kind of charm to them. Some might even get a kind of retro feel from them... And you could probably count me into that group. Nevertheless there's another option for those who can't stand the textures of the game in the form of texture packs. Many players have made texture packs for the games in many different styles that are free to download and I've only tried out a few but I'm pretty sure everybody can find something that suits their taste (I'm serious there's even a pack where everything is covered in candy) the one bad thing about this though is that some might require you to downgrade to a slightly older version of the game to be able to use it.
Sound: 7
The sound in this game isn't the worst I've heard. There are plenty of sound effects for all the different actions to be heard that usually fit fairly well in the game although they did feel slightly corny sometimes and did get kind of repetitive (though that could just be because I've been playing it for as long as I have). As for the soundtrack the game does have a decent amount of them most being pretty calm and giving you the feel like you're in this vast and open world. The main problem I had with the soundtracks though wasn't the soundtracks themselves oddly enough rather that it's just so hard to get them to play sometimes especially when around half of them only trigger when you play in creative mode or on the title screen (I'm not even kidding) which I think is a really weird decision since I do actually like all of them and makes me have to lower the rating a bit.
Addictiveness: 10
If I could ever just a play a single game for the rest of my life I'm pretty sure this would be it. I've played this game for several months now and I'm still addicted to it and play almost every day. The single player mode on it's own is pretty addicting and has a lot to do but the multiplayer is where this game truly shines. Thanks to the power of mods you can literally almost find any kind of server you could imagine.
Want a cross between a game of CoD and paintball? A server that focuses entirely on Mario party esque mini games?? A community based building server with a little bit of everything added in (hint hint nudge nudge go play on the vizzed minecraft server). Or a hunger games inspired pvp based server? (I don't volunteer as tribute). The gameplay can be so diverse and I feel like that's one of it's greatest strengths. If you get bored of building you could try a pvp based server or maybe even that CoD inspired one. However I feel like I should talk about the core mechanics of the unmodified version of the game as well. Basically as the name implies you mine for materials, craft them into items that can be used for various purposes and then you can build giant structures or even towns, kill lots of monsters or just huddle in a corner hoping that a creeper wont come and blow up in your face (probably one of my personal favorite activities) and this is made all the more fun when you play on online servers with others. Especially with all the different mods if you get burned out on the vanilla version of the game. I feel this also makes it kind of hard to rate it since the game can be a little bit of everything. If there's one thing that might bore some a bit on the vanilla version of the game is the combat. It's pretty basic as in it's real time combat where all you do is hit the opponent without trying to get hit... Not much more to it then that. There are a few different armors (there aren't really much diversity in different types of armours as there's basically one that is superior to the rest) as well as 2 different types of weapons swords and bows. Swords are mainly what you'll be using but bows can be useful for some situations as well. Something that does add a bit more depth is enchantments which you can craft and add to your armour to make yourself a killing machine. There's also 2 bosses in the game however I won't delve much into them as I personally haven't battled either one. The combat however is another one of those things that is subjective some might find it boring others might enjoy it. I personally found it surprisingly fun at times although I still mainly focus on the building aspect of the game. Oh and when playing single player there are 2 different modes. Survival (which is the most played mode where you mine, craft and build stuff while trying to survive) and creative mode (which is basically a mode where you're immortal, have an unlimited amount of each item and can fly) which is basically made if you just want to build without any consequences. A small nitpick I have about the game by the way is that there's no recipe book where you can look up things you have already crafted. I think it would be nice if they added that sometime in the future to prevent having to do lots of searching on the minecraft wiki whenever you want to craft something, granted there might be a mod for it.
Story: -
Probably the weakest part of the game is the story... Or is it? This game literally has the most basic story out of any game I have played (more basic then the original super Mario bros). You spawn in a world where you're left to do whatever you want. There are 2 bosses that you can defeat one is the ender dragon which if you defeat the credits of the game will roll and the other is the wither which if you defeat... I don't really know what happens actually. And that's about it really. There's no guidance up to that point you're really just left to stumble upon it yourself... Or don't. This is a game where you come up with your own story really as the bosses are more of an optional side thing that you can try do defeat if you want. Otherwise you're left to your own devices. You can become a rich tycoon who lives in an extremely expensive palace and constantly? tries to get his hands on more materials... ehehe. Or you could become a monster hunter who's sole purpose is to kill as many mobs as it is humanly possible. Or... You could huddle up in a corner and hope a creeper doesn't blow you up. Like I said it's up to you really what you make of it. And in my opinion that's for the better of the game.
Depth: 10
Even if you've barely even heard of this game before this review, you could probably see this 10 coming from a mile away provided you read the previous parts of this review. Like I said there's so many different servers and mods that there's really something to suit almost anybodies taste. Even then it's kind of hard to gauge how long this game will last you since what goal you set for yourself is entirely up to you. You could play this for a week and be perfectly content... Or more likely then not you'll play it for several weeks on end constantly setting new goals for yourself.
Difficulty: 7
The difficulty of the game depends on a lot of different factors. Like if you're playing the single player game or not or which server and with what mods. But for simpleness sake I'll base the rating of the standard normal survival mode in single player which has it's fair share of hard moments though you can't actually die you could lose every item you haven't stored away when a creeper sneaks up from behind and blows you up causing you to rage quit for 3 days and then come back to try to desperately figure out where you built your little shack with the little amount of remaining supplies in it... Or you could be especially daring and play on hardcore mode where death = game over. Or if you're like me and you mostly huddle in a corner on survival mode (okay I'll stop). You might be having a more difficult time deciding what your mega base will be built out of and what the layout will be like.
Overall: 9.3
It has a few flaws which are mostly nitpicks but the positives far outweigh the negatives in my opinion. This is a game you should try out no matter what your preferences in gaming are. There's almost bound to be something that you'll find fun not to mention this game is really cheap anyways only being 25 dollars and can potentially last you longer then some blockbuster mmo's do. So if you're bored of all your current games and want to give something new a try definitely pick this one up and while at it try out the vizzed minecraft server, where you can meet yours truly.
And that's another review done... Though I must say this game was really hard to review so feel free to leave some feedback on what you thought about my review and what I can do to improve my reviews in the future and feel free to rate it as well.

I will be Mining and Crafting! darthyoda
You know about this game, I would be surprised if you have never heard of this mind-blowingly popular indie game. If you can imagine it in your head, figure out the Crafting Table, and gather the blocks, you can build anything you picture! Although I got help from a friend, I am still trying to get things done without asking for extra resources. It's easy to get anything, you just have to be patient enough and mine down far enough to get it. I wanted to get some lava, and I dug down to the bedrock, heard the lava, dug up, and I found Gold, Diamonds, and Redstone, without trying to find it! This game has so much you can do, without making it repetitive or boring.
Graphics: I give it such a high rating, because the graphics were designed to look this way! The graphics allow you to build anything you put and think of. If you want to build the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, or recreate a movie house, you can do just that. If it weren't for the graphics, none of that would be possible. Everything is comprised of blocks, even the blocks have smaller blocks making it in the shape it's in. Lava, Water, Stone and everything else, are all blocks. But, don't let this make you turn away from the game. It's graphics are not the real seller of the game, it's the possibilities! Watching someone build something can be boring, and if you didn't play the demo or the full game, it seems a little stupid, mostly because of the graphics, but once you play it yourself, all skepticism is gone!
The graphics seem odd at first glance, but they are actually the thing that makes the game possible. I give it a 10/10. Sound: Sound is essential in this game, if you didn't have sound, you wouldn't know if you dug close to water, lava, or something like that. If your pick-axe breaks, it makes a certain sound. Maybe you don't think the sound is that good, but I wouldn't have been able to create some cool things without the sound, because I would have been digging right past the little lava pool. You have nice background music, which makes the game calm and even gives a sense of well-being when you listen to it, but I would rather listen to something else, so I put on a Spotify playlist. Although there is little sound, how else would you know which dangers lie waiting to ambush you? There are the sounds that Zombies make, Creepers make (When they start exploding.) and the Skeletons makes! Listen carefully, or you could end up dead!
Although there isn't much sound, it is needed for the game to work! I give the sound a 9/10. Addictiveness: I dare anyone to say that they could
delete the game, and never think of it again. The game is so addictive, once you start, there is no turning back! I was one of those people who just mined and mined during the Demo. I got so sick of having to reset the thing that eventually I just got the game. I was sold once I played the demo! The game just has so many things that it makes it addictive! I'll talk about it more when I get to depth.
The game is one of the most addicting games I own. I give it a 10/10. Story:
N/A When the Minecraft Storymode comes out, I may be able to edit this, but as of yet, the only story is survival. That's really it.
The story is not there, N/A, because it's not the point of the game. Gameplay/ Controls: This is a part that is cool. For an indie game, I have no problems with the controls! They are laid out logically, and they have used simple controls to make the game more fun! You have easy controls, even when building things like a water roof, there are no issues. When you mine, and take the "fast" route, going straight up, placing the block under you once you jump, and breaking the bricks above you, there are no control problems. It seems as though Mojang has thought out all of the moves you would need! I was building a Lava Room, a room where the floor, walls and pretty much anything else was made from lava! It is hard to do, but the controls are really superb. Going up and down the mines can be tedious, but why not just make stairs? Mine a better path, it's really a choice.
The controls for Minecraft are superb! I give it a 10/10. Depth: The game has so much depth! Build a house, then a castle, feel like building a monument? You can do that too! If you can imagine the idea, it's possible to make! I have been working on a flowing waterfall that would flow off the top of my roof, this isn't hard, but you have to come up with the idea first. Most of this game is coming up with creative ideas. Once the ideas are there, it's easy to do, if you have mined all of the needed supplies. You can go out at night and just kill Creepers, Zombies, Skeletons, and Spiders. In rare occasions and the right spot, you can try your hand at killing the Enderman. If you wish to pass this fight up, just don't look at him. Mine, Craft, Build, Battle, all these things are done with amazing detail and fun! I love everything you can do. Gathering supplies is made fun, because you need to find food, and then stone, iron, and if you are really ambitious Diamonds. This is just a fraction of what you can do with this!
There is so much to do, it really beats Skyrim by a mile! I give it a full 10/10. Difficulty: The difficulty varies on how smart you are with gathering and crafting. If you get a pick-axe and build a primitive house right away, you should be safe, providing the lighting. This can vary on how you make use of the things you get right away. It's a simple concept, but it's really trial and error. If you burn from falling in lava, die from digging right into a deep cave, it really means you need to learn caution. It's really not that hard, but if not done with caution, it can be VERY difficult, especially if you die and lose everything you gathered. I found that when my friend gave diamond armor, pick-axe, and a sword, it's easy, except when I keep falling into the lava, that makes it hard to survive, even though you have the best protection possible. The game isn't really hard, but without caution, it's almost impossible.
I give the game an 8/10, because there is only something that is needed at the beginning of the game, after that it's easy. Overall: This isn't the most famous and popular Indie game for no reason. It's one of the best games I've seen. You have infinite possibilities to do whatever you really want. This game gives you the sandbox masterpieces all compacted into one brilliant game! Although it is fun, use caution, because if you don't, you could die! It's fun, has much to do, great sounds, interesting mechanics to learn! It's just awesome!
The game gets an overall score of: 9.8/10.

Minecraft Review claytune
I wanna start the review by saying I will only be talking about vanilla Minecraft without multiplayer, if I talked about multiplayer I would be here for weeks.
Gameplay 9/10 -
The game is played how you wanna play it what I mean is that you could spend all your time fighting mobs and mining or building whatever your heart desires. I'm not much of a builder but I'll try to cover how much the game offers to build with later, for now I wanna talk about how the combat works. The combat
update introduced in 1.9 really changed how the game is played, it added weapon cool down which for fighting mobs is a lot more balanced then the spam clicking we use to have for the game. They also re-balanced the sword and axe to have different uses in combat the sword is faster and can hit more than one enemy at a time while the axe is slower does more damage and can disable shields. It also added many arrow effects you could choose to use but aren't very useful for mobs. Crossbows were also added in the past year and while looking and feeling cool to use they aren't very useful to play with because of the fact power is impossible to get on the said weapon. Even with some of the weapons not having much a point in combat the fact the game gives you options is fun to play with and makes it exciting to try new things while fighting the many mobs you will encounter.
Graphics 7/10 -
The graphics are far from impressive even for a game released in 2011, however the game's animations can shine with items such as the totem of undying or the elder guardian jump scare.
Sound 8/10 -
Many of the sounds in the game are iconic, it could be the terrifying sound of a creeper hiss behind you or the villager hmmmm noises the sounds are all very unique and fitting to the creatures. The soundtrack is very ambient and relaxing with it's nice calming piano tracks. The game can play random noises sometimes that when it's late at night and you have no idea what you heard that are capable of making you jump which can add to the atmosphere of exploring a cave.
Addictive 10/10 -
There's a reason that all this time later people all over the world are still playing Minecraft, the game only ends when you want it to. You can endlessly build, in creative or survival as much as you want to. You could play it for an hour, ten hours, 100 hours, or even a thousand hours.
Depth 10/10 -
The game has so many things you can go for achievement wise, so many blocks to build the idea of your dreams, items to collect, and several dimensions to explore to your heart's dreams. On top of all that the world can be practically infinite, while it does have a limit in the form of a world border you'd never find it on accident and I don't know of anyone who could seriously claim they have explored an entire world in Minecraft nor do I even know how possible it would be with all 3 dimensions being the same size as well as all the caves in the over world. Speaking of the over world there is a few dozen biomes to find and explore in the world and they can all feel very unique.
Difficulty 6/10 -
The game even on hard is pretty easily as long as you plan how you go about things but a newcomer can have a very hard time. For the people seeking a real challenge there is a hardcore mode where if you die you have to
delete the world you can't re-spawn, however to my knowledge it has no other differences to the normal hard difficulty.
Overall 9/10 -
Minecraft is the best selling game of all time and it's not hard to see why even without talking about multiplayer which I would consider the best part of the game it still has endless possibilities.

Review on this history-making game... Minecraft IgorBird122
Here is a review by the great IB, and this game is on one of my most favorite games in history, which is called Minecraft. Minecraft was created by the great Notch (a.k.a Markus Persson) on May 16th, 2009 and first versions of the game was available on the PC and they wasn’t really a whole lot other than grass, dirt, wood, stone, cobblestone, water, and lava. But over the course of 5 1/2 years, Minecraft has turned into a multimedia success by landing on 10 different platforms, and has changed gaming history when it was released in 2009, but the Minecraft craze didn’t begin until 2010 when it was in Alpha stage and then 2 1/2 years after the game was available to the public, the game was officially released on November 18th, 2011, and since then, the game has really taken off like a rocket with it being one of the most popular game in the modern era of gaming and has made multiple history in this game.
With that said, I will go ahead to the review on this wonderful game
Graphics..
I know when it comes to the graphics of Minecraft, they are pretty outstanding to my point of view. Yeah, Minecraft might just be full of blocks are have like basic graphics for the games like the grass and the sky and the rocks / stones, but this is why we have resource packs, but we are talking about straight vanilla Minecraft (no mods, no resource packs, just the original content). I think the basic graphics are pretty great and well done when I first started playing this. Sure, they might be others out there that plays Minecraft and thinks that the graphics in the game seems to be a little boring, so that’s why they create resource packs so that way, they can change the layout to fit their taste, like having 1x1 pixel blocks all the way to 2048x2048 pixels (which is a lot because 32x32 is the default pixels used). A lot of people have different ideas for graphics, that why they exist. For me, I like the classic default pack to use because I am kind of a default person, although I have tried some of these resource packs and some of them are amazing. Back to the default pack, I think the graphics in this game is quite amazing, the Overworld, the Nether, and The End all are have a lot of interesting detail to my point of view and each setting are outstanding.
For the graphics, I got to give it a 10 out of 10, I think the graphics are a little you know, a little blocky but hey, Minecraft is all blocky and that’s what we like about Minecraft, because Minecraft’s blockyness. Man, I need to stop talking about the blockyness.
----------
Sound/Music..
For the sound effects, I think to my personal opinion, I think the pre-beta 1.8 sounds are a little better than the modern sound effects (That’s why I have a retro sound plugin for my Minecraft). But that’s not what I’m here for. For the sound effects in general, I think the sounds are quite awesome, the block placing, the fighting, the mobs, the explosions, the experience gathering, I think with all these sounds, I think is what makes Minecraft a one of a kind game to play.
As for music, I tell you, C418 (a.k.a. Daniel Rosenfeld, who is the music producer in Minecraft) really put in a lot of epic soundtrack in the game like all the noises in the game like the ambience noises and yes, even C418’s cat is the one that voiced the Ghast mob. But as for the occasional music that are played I think was C418’s best works in the game. I got a lot of songs in Minecraft that happened to be my most favorite modern video gaming musics. Like 9 Overworld Survivor songs, 6 Overworld Creative songs, 4 Nether songs, and 3 End songs and with 11 music in-game disks sounds you can put into the jukebox. So, for the music, C418 has done one amazing job with the music.
As for the sound and music, I got to give this a perfect 10 out of 10, the reason why is how awesome the music and the sound effects are played in this game. I think this is quite a fantastic job on what C418 and the rest of Mojang has done, keep up the good work.
----------
Addiction Level..
Minecraft is extremely addicting game, that is the reason why Minecraft’s popularity is so high, because everyone that has heard about Minecraft has played at least once in their lives and most of you are at a point you can’t stop thinking about Minecraft, and with all the updates that happens on Minecraft, that what keeps it from being. Plus with the amount of things you can built in Minecraft can also affect the Addiction Level. Not just the creative side of things, but surviving through the day and night and fight against mobs like Creepers, Zombies, Skeletons, and a bunch other mobs as well. So, I think to my point of view, this game is one of the most addicting games I have ever played on any console.
For the Addiction Level score, I have to give it a perfect 10 out of 10. If they was an option to give it an 11, I would give it that number because on how addicting it in fact is. You can spend the whole day playing Minecraft for either building and/or surviving. No matter on what you do, you’ll be on this game for like ever and ever.
----------
The Storyline..
They isn’t a story in this game, but I think personally, Minecraft really doesn’t need a story at all to be a great game, the only thing that kinda relate to some kind of story is that you first try to survive and collect as much resources as you can and get better pickax and sword all the way up to diamond and you first travel to the Nether to get a few resources there before you start on your adventure to The End (if you got enough Eyes of Ender though) and you battle a bunch of Endermen and you have to battle against the Ender Dragon and once you defeat the Ender Dragon, you pretty much beat the “Story” but the game doesn’t technically ends, Minecraft never ends is why this game is so popular, it’s like a bottomless pit more like, right into the void (using a Minecraft reference).
As for the storyline in the game, I have to give it a 7 out of 10, it don’t have much of a story in the game, but with Minecraft, it doesn’t even need a story to be great. That tells you that some great games needs little or no story to be an epic game.
----------
Depth..
For the Depths, this game has a whole lot, which is all I got to say. With the constant updates that Minecraft gets, by adding more and more stuff. Let’s first get to the map, the map is big and I mean big, like 60 million blocks big (from end to end) and you got a total of 61 different biomes which are categorized by temperature and precipitation, so the environment is always changing. Ok, onto the many items and blocks that Minecraft has in the game, we got a whole bunch of blocks from grass and cobblestone that was added in the first Minecraft video that Notch made all the way to the recent 1.8 update and every single update since then, more and more items and blocks are added into the game, and with so many blocks added in, you can make your building projects a whole lot better, or you can use them to better protect your home from mob that can try and kill you. Each and every one of those blocks all have a unique way of how it’s performed like adding 9 items to form that block for easy storage, used with redstone and power up items, or just use it to decoration, it’s really on the player’s decision on what he or she wants to do, there is a million ways to do in Minecraft, that is why Minecraft is so popularly, just so many thing you can do within this game.
For the Depth, this also has to be easily a perfect 10 out of 10, the reason why I gave this a 10, The game, it has so much to do, so many items, so many creation, so many ways to survive, and so many other stuff that you can do in Minecraft. Minecraft’s Depth is so high and that is why I gave it a 10.
----------
Difficulty / Gameplay..
The Difficulty of Minecraft, it really depends because Minecraft has difficulty. If you want an easy game, then selected “Easy” and if you want a hard game, then select “Hard”, but if you don’t want mobs to bug you, then set it to “Peaceful”, but if you think Hard isn’t hard enough, you can pick “Hardcore Mode” but be careful, it’s like playing on hard difficulty, but if you die, you die. You lose all your stuff, all your builds, and everything else, so, if you go onto that mode, it’s best to survive and not die. But as for the difficulty, I normally go with “Hard” because I like a really good challenge, but I don’t want to go to the extreme like Hardcore mode. Some mobs are hard to defeat, even on easy because they can be so many at one time, it can be hard on easy.
As for the Gameplay, I have to say, the gameplay is pretty fluent, the controls works like a charm and really have no problem what so ever. Although some controls have a little bit of flaws, but I personally think out of full, they all respond very well. They have been a couple of times where it didn’t work mostly because of lagging, but that’s mostly it. The controls use the classic “WASD” buttons (because most of the people are right handed and people use the mouse with their right hand) and those buttons works as well, and using the mouse to control the movement, they work nicely, as long it isn’t laggy though and clicking it to use weapons works like a charm as well. So, other than the lag, the controls work really well.
For the Difficulty and the Gameplay in this game, I give this an 8 out of 10, the Difficulty is both easy and hard at the same time, depending on the difficulty setting you set it on. It’s up to you on how hard you want it. And as for the gameplay, the gameplay is awesome and I think Mojang did a lot of good things with their controls and make it great to use for the player.
----------
Overall..
Overall, I got to say, with everything I have said about Minecraft in this review, I got to say, Minecraft is one of those games that has broke numerous barriers in the gaming world. It has brought more people to this game all because they want to build things and that is why they are in this game, so they can have their imagination go wild in this game and create whatever in the world they want and I have seen amazing things created. Even on the Vizzed server, I have seen a whole lot of nice creations created like sprite art, houses, and just to name a view, that tells you that this is one amazing game. I think with the graphics, the sound and music, I think with those two awesome mediums added into this game is what makes this game a great game and the most famous part of what makes Minecraft. Well, Minecraft is it’s Addiction Level and the Depth, without these two, Minecraft wouldn’t of got it’s fame today, it would of died off in less than a year after creation. And with the difficulty, It’s not too easy or too hard which is a nice combination of the two which makes this game a decent game and the gameplay also makes this game really unique as well. But the only thing in this didn’t make this game to be “The Perfect Game” is it’s storyline because it doesn’t really have a storyline other than what I mentioned above, so that’s the only disadvantage, but I don’t really care too much about a story though. That’s mostly it though for this review.
For the final score, I will give it a 9.7 out of 10 which is my highest I have ever given a game since I started reviews because I don’t go up to 10 out of 10 for the final score because I don’t like to sound bias. But the reason I gave this game a 9.7, it’s got a whole lot of amazing things in it and those amazing things is what really drive a lot of people to this game and on why this game got it’s fame. So, if you haven’t played Minecraft before (I don’t know on anyone that hasn’t played it yet) but you like seeing stuff like this, they you can find some way to buy this wonderful game and your life will change to the better once you play this game. This is one truly amazing game right here.
Well that is all with this Minecraft review.

Minecraft, a great and popular game Popeye116
Minecraft is a very fun game. You can do things from mining diamonds deep inside of caves, to building a house on an island made of mushrooms. It has a silly nature but can also be dark, too (specifically in the Nether). There have also been many fan-speculated rumors, such as Herobrine. So, here is my review:
Graphics: 4There’s nothing special in Minecraft’s graphics. It’s just pixelated blocks and chunks. But there’s something special about it. Something about the graphics that makes it….unique. Maybe the simplicity of the graphics is what makes it appealing. The sunsets in Minecraft sure are pretty, too. Also, for the people who don’t like the normal graphics, there are plenty of texture packs to fit your liking. Although, many of them aren’t free. But compared to graphics for other popular PC games, the ones for Minecraft aren’t much to look at. I would give it a 4.5, but I can't. These reasons are why I give the graphics in Minecraft a 4.
Sound: 8The sound in Minecraft fits the game rather well. It’s very relaxing to explore a world while listening to classic music. There’s sometimes even a little of electronic-esque music in there. I don’t know how to explain it, but it just works. Plus, there’s the music in the Nether and The End. I won’t go into too much detail on these, but they also fit the areas very well. The sound effects in all the different areas of the game are great. When you’re inside while it’s raining, it sounds very realistic, as it becomes more dim and quiet. Plus, the sound of the Ghasts in the Nether really expresses how desolate the place is. The harmony of the sound effects and music in the game is why I give the sound an 8.
Addictiveness: 9Minecraft is very addicting. Sometimes, I play it for hours on end. The depth of the game adds on to this, as there’s so much to do once you “beat” the game. Many people add on to their survival world to make it as amazing as possible, even after they beat it. Plus, there’s creative mode. I can’t even begin to say how endless the possibilities are in creative mode. Simply google image search “Amazing Minecraft Creations” and you’ll see what I mean. Sorry, I kind of got distracted there. Basically, creative mode can be very addicting. Plus, there’s Multiplayer. With the endless amount of things to do there, it’s very addicting. This is why I give Minecraft’s addictiveness a 9.
Story: 2Minecraft basically has no story. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a bad thing. It isn’t the kind of game that’s really supposed to have a story. I only gave it a 2 instead of a 1 because it has a teeny little story. You’re steve, who just spawned into the world, and you mine supplies until you wrack up the courage to defeat the ultimate Enderdragon. Once you kill the Enderdragon, it goes into a credit scene, where somebody is talking about you, the Player. That’ all there is really. You can also fight the Wither Skull, which is a second boss. I don’t know what happens if you defeat it. This is why I give the story a 2.
Depth: 10Hoo boy, there’s a whole lot of stuff to do in this game. Much of it I mentioned in the “addictiveness” part, with the whole thing with creative world. You don’t only have to build masterful art in creative. You can also build things such as redstone creations, which is basically electricity. I’m not very good at it, and it’s pretty complicated, and there’s a lot of things to build with redstone, so I won’t delve too deep into that subject. Also, there’s the single player, where even after you beat the game there’s much to do, like defeat the second boss. Finally, there’s the Multiplayer of Minecraft. With thousands of available servers, the possibilities are endless. You can do different things such as Factions, Hunger Games, Sky Block, Spleef, Parkour, and more (that rhymed :P). Some of the things I like to do are Sky Wars, Kit Hunger Games, Paintball, and Prison. Altogether, the depth of Minecraft is huge. I would give it a 9.5, but there isn't an option for that, so I will give it a 10.
Difficulty: 6Minecraft can be pretty tough sometimes, especially in Multiplayer. It’s not easy to win games on multiplayer when there are people who have playing for years. My opinion on difficulty may be off because i don’t do that much survival on PC minecraft (I prefer multiplayer), and I have been playing on Xbox360, of which is marginally easier, for a lot longer, so bear with me. On PC survival, it is a lot harder, because you don’t get a map when you spawn in, and if you do get a map they don’t cover nearly as much space as they do in the Xbox version. Plus, in pc minecraft, it automatically saves when you die...I learned that the hard way :/. But if you get a bed and create a good shelter in a good area, it’s pretty simple from there. Another thing that makes it tough is grinding Endermen for ender eyes. It is very tough to find the ender portal without ender pearls, and its sort of hard to find Endermen, too, unless you’re in the desert. Plus, if you plan on fighting the Wither Skull instead, it’s even harder to get wither skull heads from the Nether. This is an even more excruciating grinding experience. On a completely different subject, the crafting is pretty complicated, too. In the Xbox360 version, you can just gather the supplies and click a button on the crafting table and it automatically crafts it for you. On the PC version, you have to gather supplies and rearrange them on the crafting table, which is pretty tough. I had (and still sometimes have) to look up on google how to craft items other than armor and tools. Aside from these difficulties, Minecraft is pretty simple, which is why I give the difficulty a 6.
Overall: 8.7Overall, Minecraft is very fun. There’s over 16,000,000 users, and I can see why. Although there’s some of those hecklers that say Minecraft players are nerdy, but who cares? It’s an enjoyable game. The graphics, although they aren’t much, are unique, and the sound fits the game well. And although there isn’t much of a story, the addictiveness and depth of the game is very likely why so many people love it. Plus, while the game can be super hard at times, it isn’t TOO difficult. Also, there’s even a Vizzed Minecraft server, and if you have the game, I really recommend you check it out. I give Minecraft a rating of 8.7 overall. Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this review!

Minecraft. Man how I love this game. vhero
Ah... Minecraft... a game which I've been wanting to play ever since I saw SkyDoesMinecraft... and a few days after saving up, I got it! And man was it better then I expected. Whys that you may ask? Well... just... take a look...
Graphics: 8/10.
You may be thinking if your a Minecraft noob: "ERH T3H GR3RPHIC5 SUCK IN DIS GA3M". And, whilst I COULD agree on that, I chose not to. Why? Well, if you see sites like Planet Minecraft and the official Minecraft Forums, you can see a thing called Resource Packs, which alter the graphics in one way. One of my favourites is Faithful 32x32 by Vattic. Makes it HD, but is faithful (that's why he called it "Faithful") to the original graphics. Others can change the audio (I made my own resource pack and it has Faithful with minecraft parodies as music discs :3), the mobs, and with the recent
update (Minecraft 1.7.X), you can combine resource packs. Like some music from a resource pack but want to keep the textures from another? Don't bother editing it yourself, just put the audio pack below the texture pack! It's fun to mess around with sounds as well, like replacing all the sounds with a human's voice (that's a thing by the way). Also, if you click on the button next to "Exit Game", you can choose a language. There's Pirate language. Your argument is invalid.
Sound: 8/10.
Man, did C418 did a good job on the soundtrack. We got favourites such as "cat" and "wait" (which was formally named "where are we now"), as well as some lovely calm tunes whilst your not listening to a jukebox playing in the background. Also, with resource packs (formally mentioned), you can change the music into theme songs (one even thought of having the Game Of Thrones theme on the resource pack. <3 Element Animation), and change the sound effects to crazy things like a TNT block when lit going "YALALALALALALA". A lot of possibilities with sound.
Addictiveness: 10/10.
This (and depth) is where the game really shines. There are so many things that can keep you coming back for more, for example, seeing how your wheat farm was going on while you were away or finding out what animal has spawned in your house for the umpteenth time. And this isn't even mentioning the Multiplayer! The multiplayer features this game boasts is unbelievably limitless. We have server programs such as Bukkit (the main one used in huge servers, and yes, I spelt that right, don't say it's a spelling mistake. Google is your friend.), Cauldron/MCPC+ (Which is used for Forge mods along with Bukkit plugins), Vanilla (Which is just plain survival) and a few others such as Spigot. Oh, and don't get me started on the mods, there are many mods to enhance gameplay such as Optifine, Shaders, Minimaps, etc. There are also huge mods which add more mechanics, Mobs and blocks to the game, such as The Aether II (Yes, there is a sequel to The Aether, be happy), Pixelmon and Mo' Creatures. Also, I can't forget to mention the Creative Mode. This lets you have all (yes, all) but a few blocks in Minecraft, so you can build whatever you want whilst the mobs don't get in your way.
Story: Really... it's up to you.
Reason why I said that is because there isn't really a story... unless you make one up. You could be on your quest to fight the Ender Dragon, The Wither, building a mansion, completely decking out your weapons to provide those I just mentioned... there's a lot of stories you could come up with. As for me, I don't really go on survival mode but in creative mode. I just like building things.
Depth: 10/10.
Many, many, many, MANY things you could do in Minecraft. You could play with your friends, play against your enemies, have a modded survival series, the possibilities are really endless. Also before you whine if there isn't many people in this game, I dare quote from the official Minecraft website:
So far 16,334,686 people bought the PC/Mac version of the game. Phew.
...and counting.
Difficulty: 5/10.
There are 4 different difficulty settings (5 if you count the mode I'm about to mention), hence why I made it 5/10. There's Hard, the second hardest setting, Normal, which is... normal, Easy which is easy, and Peaceful, where no hostile mobs will ruin your day! :D (Just be careful of attacking wolves or iron golems though, they're neutral mobs). There is also a Hardcore mode, where the difficulty is locked to hard and the hostile mobs are much stronger. Oh, and did I forget to mention? YOU. GET. ONE. LIFE. Yes, this is pretty much YOLO mode gone extreme. If you are on Hardcore Mode on Singleplayer, the world gets
deleted and you have to start again by making a new hardcore world. If you are on a server with Hardcore Mode, you can't respawn, and when you leave, you get banned.
Overall Rating: A

50 Reviews! Minecraft Spectacular! zanderlex
I welcome you all to my 50th review. I doubt more than a handful had made this many reviews and it had taken me just a little over a year to reach this many. I know this game speaks for itself in a way, but I figured that it would be a fun game to review and that it would be a good game to celebrate with, especially since there's a huge story behind me and the game.
I hadn't always liked Minecraft, in fact, as recently as last October, I might not have even known what Minecraft was about. It was the start of October, and I had just started watching Markiplier on Youtube, who quickly had became my favorite Youtuber. I was a bit skeptical about his Drunk Minecraft series because I thought it would be boring, but I decided to watch an episode of it and I instantly fell in love with the series. I watched a dozen or so more episodes and I was amazed at all of the things that you can do in the game, and I began to wonder why I'm not playing it.
Sometime during December or early January, I realized that I had to get the game, no matter what I had to do, but I was a bit skeptical about the price, so I downloaded the demo and I dell in love. The demo was only 90 minutes long, but I would do as much as I could within those 90 minutes and then I would start over and do everything again. It was so much fun, but after playing the demo 20 or so times, I got bored about spawning on the same island with just access to that one island and being restricted to 90 minutes. After a while, I found a way to download the single player version of the game for free and I took advantage of it, it was pretty much the same as the demo except for the time limit, but at least I was able to save stuff and come back later.
I kept watching the videos from Markiplier, and later on I realized that the singleplayer was not enough for me. What I had wanted was to be able to play on the server that Mark and his friends play on, so eventually, I got the money for the game and I bought the full version. The game was just under 30 dollars, which is a decent amount for a video game, but I would have thought that it was the biggest investment of my life, even if I had ended up spending hundreds of dollars in donations to various servers.
And that's pretty much how I had ended up with this awesome game, as soon as I got the game I had went on the server that they played on, and until now, it's just one of two servers that I use. Now let's get to the game itself.
GRAPHICS 9/10
Everybody knows about the graphics of Minecraft, most people would say that the graphics are terrible, but of course, the way that the graphics interact with the environmnt is really what allows the game to offer so much, and to some, the graphics could be seen as revolutionary. This is because once Minecraft had been released, so many other games to be released afterwards have been known to use similar blocky graphics, and some games have gone well beyond blocks to make the game much more functional, but pretty much all of those graphics have stemmed out of what Minecraft had conceived of.
Even though every block in the game at the core has one color based on what it is, there is a lot of color throughout the game. Of course, we all know that Minecrafters can arrange and rearrange blocks of any color to make anything they want, so at any given time you can see something that ranges from bland to super epic. In terms of graphics, you can make almost anything that you want from scratch using simple blocks of whatever color, and whatever you make suually looks realistic. You can make a giant castle and put so much detail into it that it looks like it's from a movie, you can make a giant Goku or Charizard and have them look amazing, you can make a life size replica of the Empire State Building and nobody would ever tell the difference.
All of that can be done because even though the basis of the game is single blocks of one color, putting them together can work wonders. The graphics themselves look bland, but what they can do, and the legacy that they have left on future games combined is going to make me give this category a 9 out of 10.
SOUND 8/10
We know the sounds of Minecraft all too well, and some of them are imprinted in our minds because we hear them so often. Some of the sounds are quiet while others are loud, and if you are using a good laptop and headphone combination, the experience can actually be really cool. When I first played the game on my new laptop, the sound blew me away compared to my other laptops and even though the sounds were already awesome beforehand, they were a lot better when I could here all of them.
First off, there is of course the music. I don't know if Minecraft has an official soundtrack, which I think it probably does, but all the music of the game is amazing. There's the music that plays when you first hit the main menue, and there are various other tunes that are played at various points, especially when you are idling on that page. We hear that music all the time, and could probably recite the first couple seconds in our minds at will. The music is good, but the actual sounds of the game, to me, can be even better if you pay attention.
Literally every single action has it's own sound, whether you're mining, digging, chopping wood, or just opening a door, there is always noise all around you, it is inevitable. Then of course there are the villiagers with their own little language who you will always hear as long as you are near one, and of course, it only happens once a year, but there was that april fools joke, where every time you do an action, that action is said in the voice of a villiager. For the sounds of the game, I am going to give this aspect an 8 out of 10.
ADDICTIVENESS 10/10
The game is addicting, if it wasn't, there would be no legacy, and other games wouldn't have small resemblences to it. If the game was not addicting, there wouldn't be millions of fans, or giant conventions, heck, if Minecraft wasn't so adicting in the first place, then Microsoft would have never wanted Minecraft in the first place. Minecraft has a lot of features, we have already mentioned the graphics, and the cool sounds of the game, but neither of those are the reason the game is so succesful, it's not even the story. There are two aspects of the game that made it what it is today, and one of them is the addictiveness.
The game is addicting because there is so much to do, you can build whatever you want, you can fight, you can do practically anything at all. I had already mentioned some of the awesome things that you can build, but that's just the start. Building a giant castle, or maybe something even bigger could take many hours and days if not longer to build, and it needs patience and time. People put up with their designs and fight through the hours because when they are finished, they have some giant thing that they can be proud of, and then they can blow it all up with TNT in the end.
Next up, there are the battles. The game is fun because you can go up against all different types of monsters from creepers and spiders to skeletons and more. It's always fun to take a sword and chop down a spider, or to use your bow to shoot down a creeper. It never gets old because this is something that we would never be able to do in real life, but here on a computer screen, we can do it as much as we want and then we can reset everything so it's as if we had never done it in the first place, and then we start off doing it all over again.
The next aspect of the addictiveness is mining. To some, mining would probably be a chore, people at the start just mine to get simple resources. At the start, gamers have to mine to get stone for their decent tools and to make a stone house that's a step above a wooden one, and for the coal to make torches. That's what the beginners do, but once you have played the game a lot, you know that there's a lot more to mining than just that. There's the thrill of explroring caverns, and falling into lava pits, there's tons of redstone, iron, gold, and more to find, and there's the escitement of findin diamonds. All of this contributes to the feel of the game, but wait, there's more.
Lastly, there's multiplayer of course. You can play witha friend and work together to do everything i had already mentioned, but with a friend of course, or you can join any one of the thousands of Minecraft servers where you can join all sorts of civiliations and more. Of course, this is all just the tip of the blocky iceberg, because there's so much more to the game and a lot more appealing features. My overall grade for addictiveness has to be a perfect 10 out of 10.
STORY 8/10
There isn't really a story to this game, it's just a building and mining free for all, but there are a handful of makeshift "stories" that some people have made. There's that guy on Youtube who has been trying to reach the end of the Minecraft world. That would count as a story, even if this nobody may ever try this again, or even think about wanting to do it. Another potential story would be to complete all of the fundamentals of the game. A story such as this would consist of gathering all of the resources that you can and making tools, and then making a suitable sized house with a mine and a sustainable farm.
Of course, ypu can also do Hardcore mode, which is basically the same as what I had just mentioned, but once you die, the game is over. This can be viewed as a story because you have to survive as long as you can without getting killed by a creeper or drowning or something just as scary. So, overall for the story, there isn't much but you can use your imagination to make any kind of story that you want. My grade for the story of this game is going to be an 8 out of 10.
DEPTH 10/10
Earlier I had mentioned that there were only really two features that are important when you are talking about Minecraft, and the depth is the other one because there is simply so much. First, there is the map, which you can always change, and it's huge. There's literally must be hundreds of trillions of blocks to travel accross, and even beyond the map, there is still so much for the game to offer, and that's not even including all of the new features that were released with the new
update a while back. In addition to the map, there are the skins, you pretty much have unlimited customization of your skins so you can practically look like anything you ant as long as it fits. Next there's the creatures, there are so many mobs across the game whether they are neutral, passive, or aggressive.
On top of all that, there are all the blocks that you have to work with. There are basic blocks, then there are advanced blocks, and then there are all sorts of other blocks that interact with each other to do pretty much anything. On top of all these blocks, there's much more, there's a variety of tools, food, and much more. This literally has to be one of the best games in history when it comes to depth, if not the biggest,a nd because of that, it would be nowhere near fair if I gave this game anything less than a perfet score, and if I could, I would give this category an 11 out of 10 or maybe even higher because this game deserves that good of a grade.
DIFFICULTY 5
There isn't really anything that's difficult as long as you are able to take the time to work through your creations and build. If you are in creative mode, then there is nothing difficult about the game aside for maybe working on a really hard building project, so Creative mode would probably get a 1. Survival mode is a challenge if you try to go up against mobs, so this mode is a bit more difficult because you will almost always die if you don't know what you are doing, so this mode would get a 5. Hardcore mode is the toughest of them all because once you die, the game is all over, so you have to be very careful and build a very strong structure that you can survive in. This more is challenging and would get a 7. Overall, the game is pretty simple and difficult based on what you do, and an overall grade for difficulty is going to be a 5.
OVERALL 9.5/10
Overall, this game is a thing of beauty, and that is why millions of people like this game. It is one f the few games to have so much appeal throughout the entire course of the game and then have much more, and it has so many features, each of which is just as fun as the last. If you are reading this, you have most likely already played the game a lot or at least have watched other people play the game, but hopefully a few people who have ot played Minecraft will be able to read this and get a better idea of what the game is about. There's only a small percentage of people left who have not played the game or don't know much about it, so I suggest it because this is one of those games that can pretty much change your life and it is definintly not worth the price, it's actually worth a whole lot more. Overall, I love the game and many others love it as well and would give it a high score, so my overall score for this game is going to be a 9.5 out of 10.

Minrcraft PC PokemonKeldeo
Minecraft is a game with blocks that tests your combat, knowledge, and creativity as you are put in the world. Many people who play Minecraft have to keep the time of day in mind because when it becomes night time if your not in creative or no clip mode then watch out there are mobs around just about every corner trying to kill you. There are a lot to do like farming and building. For one thing the combat system works with hearts as your health and there are multiple ways to fight such as using a Bow or a Sword.
Graphics 7
What else do you expect from a game with block pixels? The game doesn't look realistic and its graphics could definitely be better even for blocks. However the way the game works in conjunction with the way people can build gives it this.
Sound 8
It sounds better than it looks and it has realistic sounds like walking and animal noises. The sound can be controlled in the settings tab under music then there is a master volume as well as secondary volume.
Addictiveness 9
It pulls you in with its multiplayer features and its creative way of doing the things in the game. It also makes you want just one more if not 2 or 3 of diamonds or building blocks.
Story 5
There is a small story line but it has holes in the plot such as there being an ending to Minecraft but the boss is easy but the minions aren't There is also a small line of background if you read the Minecraft board story. The ender dragon boss being defeated marks the end but there is still so much you can do that it still technically isn't an "end". It is also one of the only reasons why players play which is why I didn't rate it lower
Depth 10
The depth to the game grows everyday with new techniques and new ways of making farming and building easier. There are strategies in which you can use to make it so much easier to play that it almost seems like it wont end.
Difficulty 8
It gets harder in multiplayer when playing mini games and at the beginning it's hard but in the end if you have smarts then you will survive even a zombie/enderman apocalypse!
In the end I think it's safe to say it's not the best game but it has a bunch of cool features that appeal to people who have to much time on their hands or who want to hang out with friends online.

Minecraft, The greatest Sandbox game EVER Xzman
Everyone wants a game every once in a while that has absolutely no restrictions, no limits, the ability to play with your friends. This game, is all of that, and more!
The graphics cause lots of arguments. Yes, the game is all blocks and isn't the greatest in the world, but the creator, Notch, did that on purpose. It's supposed to be kind of like a throwback game, if you will. So that's a 6 from me.
The music in this game is splendid. It's so... open world-y, it fits the game like a puzzle piece. Every other sound in the game is realistic and good. The only sound I DON'T like in the game is the Creeper explosion sounds. *shiver*
Don't even get me started on the addictiveness. Like I said, this game has no limits. You can aim to kill one or both of the games bosses, try to see how long you can survive, build computers, calculators, songs using note blocks, build whatever you want in Creative, make an Adventure map for others to play & complete, play with friends on Multiplayer Server, make actual songs, do it all over again, make Youtube videos of you doing all of it again, then, with the very, very large community you can download mods and somehow enrich gameplay even more and *takes deep breath* even a few more things!! HOLY CRAP this game is freaking packed full of adventure, especially for a freaking $36 dollar game! Take that Wii U!
This game does have a story, but a very loose, cryptic one that only comes after you beat the games major boss, the Ender Dragon. But, I guess for a game that tries to remove all limits as much as it can, I guess it's good it doesn't have a story like "A giant green turtle thing has kidnapped your girlfriend, go dump him in lava and go save her".
I pretty much explained all the depth in the addictiveness section, so I don't have much to say here. I still need to say SOMETHING though... The cake isn't a lie?
I can't exactly put a number on the difficulty, since the game has customizable difficulty, and since the lowest difficulty (peaceful) takes out almost all the monsters, I can only say about 2 or 3 because there are still some mobs (creatures) that can become hostile, then there's drowning, burning, and falling.
So, that's my opinion on Minecraft. It's an incredibly solid game. And to all those people who don't like it just because the graphics look "clunky", If you look past all of that crap, you'll be amazed at how much this game has to offer.

ENDERMAN Furret
Okay so I’ve been putting this off for way too long. It’s time to look at the game I have by far spent the most hours into. Probably more than double that of 2nd and 3rd place combined. Yes, you are seeing that correctly, I just love Q*Bert Minecraft. I’ve been playing since 1.3 and I’ve been a proud admin of the Vizzed Minecraft Server since 2015. Fair to say I have a lot of history with the game haha, but I’m going to try my hardest to leave any personal stories out of this, for the most part.
Minecraft was made in 2011 by Markus Persson in cooperation with Mojang. It has since moved owners to Microsoft. At the moment of writing this, Minecraft is the best selling video game of all time, which really isn’t too surprising if you’ve played it before.
Gameplay (shoutout Rayman)
Minecraft is probably the single most unique game out there in that every
update it gets, its gameplay massively changes. There is also nothing stopping you from switching between old and new versions, whichever one you prefer. The game plays like your average sandbox. WASD to move, mouse to look around, mouse buttons to interact with the world, space to jump, and shift to crouch. There’s more controls but those are the most important ones.
There are various modes you can play in Minecraft. The classic Creative mode, which makes you immune to all damage, minus exiting the world. Here you can instantly get any item or block in Minecraft, however many you want, and its primary goal is for you to easily make cool creations with it. Double jumping makes you fly! Then there is Survival mode, which introduces a Health, Hunger and Armor stat to the player, as well as an XP bar. Your main objective here is to not die to the many dangers that can lurk in the otherwise peaceful world of Minecraft. Then there are two variations on this. In Adventure mode, you can still take damage, however you can’t break or place any blocks. This isn’t too useful for singleplayer but it’s nice for multiplayer lobbies. Then there is Hardcore mode, which is essentially normal Survival mode on steroids. Mobs do more damage and dying once means losing your world. I wouldn’t suggest a beginner to try this!
Various
updates have massively changed elements of gameplay as well. Before the 1.9
update, you would attack entities by spam clicking with your mouse, which got completely changed in 1.9. Swords and any tools now have a cooldown on them when you attack with them. You can still spam click but the longer you wait between hits the stronger it will be. A fully charged sword swing will now also release a small shockwave. They also added shields, which now offers you a layer of direct defense. Shields will block projectiles and melee attacks, but will break easily when hit too much and can receive a cooldown when hit with an Axe.
The 1.13
update changed Minecraft’s lamest biome, the Ocean. Swimming used to just be hold space to stay afloat, but now swimming is dynamic as you can freely move any direction you want in the water. And those are just two examples of new
updates drastically changing how the game is played.
Story - N/A
Getting this out the way, there does exist some form of a story if you watch the end credits, but since 100% of players just skip it we’ll just say there is none. That doesn’t stop you from creating your own story through various imaginations and memories! Every playing experience is unique.
Graphics - 8/10
Okay hear me out. You might be thinking, the game is so pixilated, it’s all blocks, why is this getting anything higher than a 3? It’s just because you can literally make Minecraft as pretty as you want. Minecraft is probably the single most customizable game on the planet. You’re able to change textures, even use HD ones, change how the sky looks, there are even mods that can make things circular. Of course, hitboxes for everything will still be blocks, but aside from that you can create Minecraft however you want it to look. You can also change how your character looks! Whether you base it off yourself or that one video game character you love, all up to you! I think it’s just ignorant to hate on this game’s graphics considering all that. I will admit though that some of the base textures are a bit, uh, questionable. (looking at that Baked Potato).
Sound - 9/10
Same story here. You can customize the sound to be anything you want. However I will say that even the basic soundtrack is phenomenal. You might not realize it now, but any time you go to play the game and a track starts playing, everyone can instantly hum along to it. That right there is the sign of a good OST. They were quite creative with some noises, using Notch’s cat, for example, to create the noises a Ghast would make (distorted, of course. unless that cat is a demon).
The sounds just fit what the game is trying to be so well. Animals, blocks, everything sounds realistic enough to really live the experience, but also cartoony enough to keep you amused. Villagers are the perfect example of this. I myself am a bit of a Villager connoisseur according to some friends, for whatever reason that may be, and I absolute love the stupid “Hrgn” noises they make constantly.
Depth - 10/10
The easiest 10 I have ever given a game. Anything less is just simply not true for Minecraft. This game is one of few that is truly endless. You can keep playing for however long you please, unless you’re in Hardcore mode of course. And once you’e bored of Singleplayer, you get introduced to the massive Multiplayer community. I mean there are 1000s of servers you can join, play on, meet people in, etc. You can look for Survival servers, PVP servers, mini-game servers, whatever you’re looking for exists. There truly is no limit to how far this game can go.
Redstone is another thing to keep you occupied. It acts a bit like electricity, and with it and its various accompanying blocks you can create circuits that can be as simple as an automatic door, to as complicated as a working cell phone. Yes, you heard that right, a working cell phone. Somehow, some way, Minecraft has accomplished the impossible. You can literally break the 4th wall in the game. There have been people who (using mods, but still) have created a cellphone that you can facetime with. You, sitting there reading this, and your Minecraft character getting attacked by a Skeleton, you can facetime each other. If that’s not the craziest thing a video game has ever done, I don’t know anymore. Definitely worth a 10.
Addictiveness - 10/10
Admittedly this is a personal score, as there really is no way to predict how you’ll find the game. There is so much to do, so much to try, that sometimes you might actually feel burned out just thinking of all the options available to you. Some people will only try Survival, hate it, and never play again. It’s such a shame really, because Minecraft will always offer what you’re looking for. Looking for a Battle Royale type of game? That originated with Minecraft Hunger Games! Still almost as popular as it was initially. I mean statistics don’t lie, this wouldn’t be the single best selling game of all time, with 100s of millions of monthly players, if it weren’t fun to play.
Difficulty - 10/10
Always like to preface, a high difficulty score to me does not equal a very difficult game. I think that concept is plain stupid, as it punishes games that aren’t designed to be hard to beat, while it can aid a game that aside from being difficult has nothing going for it. I rate Minecraft a perfect 10 here as you, once again, can make it as hard as you want. Just want the casual experience? Try Survival mode! A little tougher? Hardcore is right there! Even tougher? Visit servers where you’re allowed to kill each other for food. Play difficult puzzle maps, fun parkour challenges, literally anything. How could I give Minecraft anything less than a 10 in all these later categories. The game has the stats to back it up.
Overall - 9.4/10
A very impressive score for a very impressive game. It’s the game I can have the most fun with, it’s the game I have the most hours in, it’s probably the game I know the most about. I can name you countless memories ranging from every single version I’ve played, every single server I’ve ever been on. This game is truly one of a kind. And that’s just all related to the game, but Minecraft has done more for me than I could have ever imagined. I’ve had so much joy playing with friends who I might not speak to often outside of Minecraft. I’ve gotten to know people better playing Minecraft, I’ve met certain people through Minecraft who I now consider as my closest friends or even more.
I’ll always be grateful to Notch for this masterpiece. I mean it’s really ironic how simple the concept is and how vast the game has become and has integrated itself in our culture. Popular games like Fortnite will die out eventually, but Minecraft is one of those games that will withstand the test of time, even if it stops receiving
updates from the developers.

minecraft, how i love you. drivethemfromou..
Hello people. Today I am doing a review on Minecraft, one of the most popular games of the 200's. Have fun reading, and rate fairly!
Graphics: 8/10 The graphics for this game are okay at the most. They are not great, but that can be forgiven considering how fun and addictive this wonderful gem of a game is.
Sound: 9/10 The sound for this game is spectacular! The music is is wonderful and makes you feel so happy and sad at the same time. They have sound clips for whatever you are walking over. And the creeper's sssssssss.... noise sounds pretty real and scary, lol! The music is what makes this rating.
Addictiveness 10/10 This game is VERY addictive. It makes you come back for more forever. And you can play on servers, which makes it more
Addictive. This game is the epitome of addictiveness.
Story: N/A There is really no story in the game. It is basically, "miner guy starts hitting wood until he gets tools and then gets owned by a creeper". So no real story to talk about, although it is very emotional when you lose your tamed dog LOL.
Depth: 10/10 This game has a lot of depth. You can mine, cook, hunt, mine some more, get killed by a creeper, eat cake, milk cows, find a underground dungeon, kill a dragon, scream and run away from silverfish, that kind of stuff. And that is not even half of what you can do! That is why I rated this what it is.
Difficulty: 7/10 this game can be very hard sometimes, but mostly, it is about skill and quality of equipment. It can be very hard, though like I said!
Overall: 9.7/10 this game is pretty great. I highly recommend you buy this masterpiece. I hope I have persuaded you to purchase this wonderful game
That is my minecraft review, I hope you liked it!
