So we all love Minecraft, right? The famous block game where nothing happens until you make it happen. Want a house, you have to get the materials. Stop paying attention, you die to a creeper. As you should.

Maybe it's because we decide our path throughout the game that it's so easy to memorize it. At least it is for me. I've played plenty of games throughout the past, and while I'm usually able to recall the bigger overarching plotlines, the tiny little details and NPCs usually escape my mind completely after a few weeks or so. I'd just be blindly following where the game is telling me to go, rather than explore on my own.

In Minecraft I get to really decide how I play and what I'm going to do, which keeps my attention span going at all times as I'm experiencing the game in real time. I'm not a doctor but I figure that's partly why I have such a strong memory when it comes to Minecraft and the goofy adventures I have on that game. Someone could literally tell me "Hey there, remember when we did ___ like 3 years ago on 1.7 on ___ world" and it would take me less than like 10 seconds to remember it most of the time.

But I digress, this thread is here to share some of your favorite moments playing through Minecraft. I put funniest in the title because I figured those stories would be the most amusing, but if it's something not exactly funny and just special to you, feel free to share as well

As for me, I have so many due to how much I've played the game. I mean I easily have over 1000 hours on the game (probably over 2000) and while most of those are split amongst different servers and adventures, there are a few instances where one world just has too many entries to count.

My all time favorite world I've played on would probably be the last rendition of

Fyredove : 's Minecraft realm, where I spent so much time laughing while attempting to clear all the achievements in a Minecraft survival world. Eventually we got all of them and were well on the way to getting the secret one when the realm closed. Ah well, we'll get it next time.

in Survival Games and due to me being a little ass and stealing like 7 of her kills in games prior, she took her magnificent revenge. Game started, we were all ready to run to the center chests, I get there late and get no gear, so of course I follow my teammate around the map. That's when this girl notices we're being chased by a man with armor and a sword, and all in an effort to protect herself she decides to turn around and fishing rod me back into the guy, effectively sacrificing me for her own benefit and amusement. At the time I was trying to hold in my laughter as I was on call and didn't want to sound like a dumbass but it was one of the funniest sequences of events I've ever been a part of.

I forgot if we won that game but she better have.

So yeah what are some of your funniest memories?

Having played Minecraft for roughly 6 years, I've seen a lot of days turn into night in hopes I'd survive on the food I managed to find in the very short first 15 minutes.

Before watching and becoming a big fan of Paulsoaresjr I would never have been able to keep alive at all without his Survive and Thrive series as I proved to myself time and time again by breaking all the cardinal rules in MC before I even knew they existed.

1. Never dig straight down, I found a nice ravine though. (Dave_1217 fell from a high place)

2. Always light up your area, where did all these mobs come from? (Dave_1217 was shot by a Skeleton)

3. Never turn your back on a dark cave, Oooh Diamonds!! (Dave_1217 was blown up by a Creeper)

And that was just my 1st single player world converted from the original Demo Seed when I finally bought the game

But somehow, over all the years I keep finding new and interesting things that seem to make me fall out of my chair laughing or tearing all over my keyboard.

I remember spending a lot of my early multiplayer time on the Vizzed MC server back in 2014, but with so much going on back then and in between it's difficult to pick out my funniest memory since there are so many.

Some of my best earliest time was spent in Vizzed Ville just fishing in the awkwardly hanging water pools where I was able to gather up enough wood and fish to dare go out into the survival worlds and begin my true adventure.

Some of the funnier moments began after I made that transition and dug out a spider trap around a Spider Spawner and showed it the the newly joined Sonic. Not sure why he kept walking past my sign and into reach of the very angry spiders though.

The funniest part that day was how surprised he was when a spider jockey spawned and started shooting from the back corner. After many arrows and much confusion and laughter, the spider finally took notice of the confused Sonic and suffocated it's rider in the ceiling

I had so much fun helping Sonic get started that while this server was down I found myself drawn to another multi-player server where I quickly became known for my Escort Service and Baked Taters. A few of the players from there have followed me over here. Some of you may have already met Deejamite, BdogYT and Neovitalism, all decent players in their own right but with their own unique specialties which will hopefully be brought out here in due time.

Then there's KC, what can I say about KC, so much laughter and shenanigans in such a short time. I originally met him on World of Warships and after much boat sinking and many friendly fire incidents, we started talking MC. I introduced him to Dee and many others.

Then there was that fateful day Sonic and Fyre tracked me down and invited me to join them on her new realm. Having just brought KC over I couldn't leave him behind so I petitioned to bring him along.

After many day/night cycles much laughter and a leaning tower of beds, I finally found a place to call home. I eventually discovered the source of my trouble and with the command block disconnected from it's power source, a few days of getting my 1st dig site started, I was pointed toward an Underwater Monument.

Just seeing it in the distance brought me back to my Glass Island and the 1st fish farm I made here in Greenerous. With more laughter and a little help with the Elder Guardians and item recovery from Mrfe, I managed to clear out the inside and sponge out a dry area to put in a trap to catch the unwary Guardians as they fell out of the water only to get stuck in my Cobwebs. So funny to watch Guardians get so easily contained and harvested

Since the water mechanics were no longer the same as they were for my 1st trap, I knew it would no longer work the same way and decided to make an updated version which required me to clear out all of the water inside and outside of the Monument, I died so many times placing sand over every square inch, it stopped being funny (looking back it's hilarious) as I racked up nearly or just over 100 deaths in a 72 hour period, but I had my revenge in the end with all the cooked cod and fish bits anybody would ever need. I seriously doubt I will ever do that kind of trap again, but it was entertaining at the time at least

Then out of nowhere, I received a Discord message from Sonic telling me that the Vizzed MC server was coming back up. I was more than excited to get to see all of the places I'd been and relive all the time I spent and fun I had making an imprint in this 1 little corner on the MC universe.

I found Sonic near spawn under a sand pile my 1st day back, where I managed to survive the night with a wooden sword and no shield. (Epic by my playing standards)

Still on my 1st day back but 2nd in-game day I managed to find a little cave and enough iron for sheers and a bucket, I was off to a great start
I laughed so hard when I went up to sheer the local sheep only to find raw mutton and 1 wool block, finally some food

So many memories in so much time, but as far as the funniest moment(s)? That's still a tough one as 6 years is a long time to play on a single platform but what's always funny, and what I find the funniest thing I have done/still do in MC, is when I peek my head around a corner only to find a room full of mobs that start shooting each other as I run away. Especially if I'm caving with a group. It always reminds me of that scene in Star Wars where Han Solo is running through corridors, fires 2-3 shots at a pack of storm troopers and runs away in sheer terror. The only thing that would be funnier to me is if I could see it from the another players point of view

I never really played much with other people before so I think it would probably be when me and a friend were riding on a boat on the ice. Probably the funniest thing to have happened to me for a while up until that point not gonna lie. XD

This is a thread I don't even know how to begin typing in, I have so many memories it could take me days to try to even think of them all.

I guess to start I should go all the way back to what I can remember from my time in the ps3 days of my time with Minecraft back in 2014. Honestly one of the funniest things with me in general is with games I jump so hard if something scares me and Minecraft was like a horror game to me at first cause I had no idea about the mobs and such and I would just hear noises suddenly and jump off the couch! Other things I remember from this time is just stupid fights with friends where we would chase each other all over the tutorial world using the structures to our advantage.

To move to my history of PC Minecraft memories I will start by trying to think of all the funny memories I have on the Vizzed server. When I started out it was early 2015 and I had no idea how to work the server or how to get to other worlds so for the first several months I played on the server I was stuck in Vizzed Ville with no idea how to get to other worlds or that they existed I honestly thought it was other server chats somehow connected together because I admittedly was not the smartest. The only reason I ever learned of other worlds was because one day I figured out on the floating islands a far way off in Vizzed Ville that you could jump around a fence to get to a command block and I stepped on the pressure plate and ended up in Greenerous and then I looked down and realized I was above a lake in a survival world so I went down and started mining some before getting scared that I would get in trouble so I died and got sent back to Vizzed Ville. Right after that I asked a few players who happened to be on how to get to other worlds and they showed me how to in the subway that I had already been in a few times already I felt so dumb lol. Over the next few months I had my first runs in with a certain Furret who shot at people, as well as got to know some players. Around the end of 2015 geeogree returned to the server as well as a user who ended up banned later on, and said user told geeo I was mean so he kind of corned me at my house blocking the front door so I was stuck trying to escape from my own house which I would of never saw coming. The next day I joined the said user's group and we attacked geeo and it was funny cause I have no idea why I joined the guy who had geeo attacking me the day before but I kind of betrayed the guy because he kept killing a defenseless geeo and I didn't agree with that so while he was offline I secretly took geeo's stuff back to him. About a month later is when I met the head admin Mrfe when he got on to start working on Devil's Nightmare again which I'm sure when he put me in the game he at the very least found it oh so funny. Around the same time he made geeogree an admin and the first thing he did was spawn a ton of ghasts and all I could think was "you made geeo an admin? what are you thinking D:" geeo was honestly pretty fun as an admin tho so I guess I can't complain too much now a days. xD Sometime in early 2016 I joined a group known as the diamond lords and had quite a few adventures with them however the funniest and most memorable would definitely be the time geeo set up an army of at least 100 skeletons which at the time we had no idea where it came from the ensuing battle is one of my favorite times ever on the server and we all looked pretty funny with 100s of arrows in us all over. One time we made a parody Pokemon song about another group on the server and it was pretty funny nothing mean of course, I just wish I could remember any of it. Sometime later on the server around this time me and a few other users went to the end as 1.9 allowed you to refight the dragon so we were excited to finally fight a dragon on the server however the dragon highly glitched out several plugins so it could destroy claimed land so the dragon ruined Pokefreak219 AKA Fyredove's great build in the end and I felt awful about it, but was reassured she wasn't coming back so I shouldn't feel so bad. Funny story six months later she came back xD Also even funnier story I hated her at first cause I thought because of how much I had heard of her and such she was surely who would be next hired as a minecraft admin and I had spent the whole year working on it. That ended up not mattering because we both got hired and then a year later we started dating so it's kind of funny how things work out lol. Somewhere around this time it was my goal to get 30 players on for mrfe's birthday cause he said that's all he could want for his bday, I failed to get that many players on however those who we did get on had a great time on the server. It was a interesting night even more so when it became.... haunted! For you see Fyredove kept ending up in different minecarts while seemingly being afk how was this possible?! Well turned out Fyre was just messing with us but something weird that we couldn't explain did happen she kept teleporting to other worlds somehow which I don't really have a clear answer on how that was possible till this day besides plugin being kind of glitchy. After this we had tons of fun during my time as a admin where I was admittedly not that great as an admin as I spent most of my time messing with users since I just kind of thought that's what the admins did, like I one time did a prank on someone by telling someone to press a button to give me control of the world and they did it and it killed us both and then I had to give them their levels back. Something I found great back in the day was after I was no longer an admin geeo once wanted a teleport and no one would give it to him so he got frustrated and built a tower straight up made of carpet out of nowhere. Since the server has been back up I'm sure there has been many great funny moments but honestly I am slightly struggling to remember most of them. One thing I do remember is causing a war to start which never got anywhere cause the user gave up his war on the entire server when his friends wouldn't help him. Another thing I just so happened to remember would be the time Furret had to take over for me doing the Admin Meeting with David while I was away and talked about eating grass which now is talked about during every single meeting, during another meeting I was made global because Furret hates me and knew my reaction would be awkward as can be like I had no idea how to react so I just yelled Nice! for some stupid reason. xD


Now I guess I should talk about some funny moments on some other servers I have got to play on over the years. One of the only funny memories I have left of a Dragon Ball server I use to play on was one time my cousin was all ready to fight in a tournament but he said if he got faced vs the player who had Majin Buu he would jump off the stage and forfeit I thought he was joking but it happened and he jumped off and the whole server was in shock as everyone was cheering for the upset. One of the funniest things to me on Player Vs Player servers is when someone thinks I hack for no reason, the amount of times I can dominate a game well way more so back in the day is just amazing. I remember a time where me and Fyredove almost won a team hunger game match with no armor somehow only to die to the last person it was funny cause it felt like the most miraculous game of all time then we got destroyed by the last single guy lol. One time I met a player named fqur (She won a white TDV banner btw lol) and we were teamed for the first time in a hunger game match and we were easily winning until I had my every 30 min lag spike and almost all hope looked lost cause she almost died and it looked like I just stood there and watched it but lucky me I somehow managed to stop lagging and save her last second and we went on to win the game and I sent a paragraph on what happened and we went on to become really good friends. One time this guy asked me if I knew how to w tap cause it looked like I was I told him I had no idea what it was because we had been facing each other a lot and were cool with each other and then he taught me w tapping and I started winning all our fights for the most part, pretty sure he regretted teaching me that one. xD Not too long after this I had beaten the best player I knew of and thought I now stood on top of the server I was playing on as one of the best players, little did I realize how big the world really is my overconfidence was shattered when I met a player named Equal the best player I have ever seen the skill gap between me and him was surreal and still kind of is to me I was at the top I thought just to find out there was players way above my level. It was so exciting to still have a reason to play but I honestly felt at the time that his level was impossible to reach, now I realize I could in theory reach it if I put enough time and effort into honing my skills but honestly with him no longer playing there's no point pushing my skill to a point where almost all games would be boring cause I would no longer be challenged. I realize how much I'm jumping around in time right now but I honestly am the worst when it comes to remembering pvp stories in correct order, that being said recently I was trying to win a game of OP Bridges on a server and I made some guy so annoyed by surpassing all the odds by running away when I had to and playing smart until I won as he got more and more angry which I honestly can't blame him for getting as mad as he did cause it wasn't my preferred way to play but I had no other option. Another Bridges related story is one time I had died and was just watching along with my friends as a random Steve wondered around the map trying to do... something, another time I was building a house in bridges and Furret and fqur were yelling at me that there was TnT so instead of running or anything I simply shut the door and took a half heart of damage showing my knowledge of Minecraft. I don't even know where to begin to describe all my games with my Hunger Game teammate and Senpai Jhaazy I guess the best place to start would be the first ever time we voice called we decided to keep playing till we got a game and at the time I was new to the server and how all of it worked, so I was pretty awful at the game. Needless to say we stayed up till 3 AM to finally pull off a win. I honestly wish I could remember all the amazing times I've had with her as she is one of people I've had the most memories with and one of the best people I ever met on this silly block game. Another time I had with the person who taught me W tapping was he had to brb at the start of a game and I tried my hardest to keep him alive and then a team lured me away from him to kill him and I got ticked and killed almost every remaining player in the game, afterwards I went back to having an off game and he was like "bro do you need me to die for you again real quick?" Jumping quite a few years back I remember one time me and my cousin were playing team hunger games together and we were so confused why he couldn't hit this one player then I realized we were stupid and forgot to team each other so we were trying to kill his teammate so then we had to run away from each other. One time last year me and friends made the dream team under the name Fallout Edition for a Cake Wars Tournament we had me as the leader, my cousin at the top of his game, Equal, fqur, and my senpai Jhaazy in our starting lineup. Unlucky for me we never actually got to use our starting lineup and no one really taught us the meta before our first match so we got decimated, and just kind of sat around talking to the other team for a bit before they finished us. In our second of three matches my co leader fqur was no where to be found so I had to try to put together an emergency team and well I can't even remember if we had five of us present, and we once again got destroyed. We should of had a third match scheduled automatically since we didn't pick a time however the server screwed us over by saying we forfeiting when we never did we never got our third match so honestly we still say we won the tournament because we never got our deserved third match. One time me, Furret, Equal, and Fyre were playing murder mystery and we all stopped and stupidly just stared outside a window on a boat until we got murdered not one of our smarter moves lol. Speaking of memories of Furret one time we made one of the top 10 best Turf Wars player quit after they failed to beat us in around five games, and then we sent them a friend request which they accepted. Another time in Turf Wars we met this player who hid the whole time firing shots and was super annoying over the course of this long game I figured out how to aim to hit them and they started thinking I was some legendary player and I was explaining to Furret on call that they probably considered me their rival but I didn't consider them mine and before I could get that last word out they typed in chat "SonicOlmstead you are my eternal rival" I bust out laughing for a good few minutes I couldn't believe it. I then went on to easily beat them in any match we faced off in they once 1v1ed me at Turf Wars and I killed them like 20+ times and they didn't kill me once to put that in perspective in that game one shot is one kill, so they couldn't touch me the entire game afterwards they began telling all the players in our games that I was an alien and nonhuman with my skill level which is just the funniest thing to me because Furret is actually better with a bow on almost any day of the year. One time me and Fyre switched accounts for several days and tricked everyone somehow considering our skill levels are very different and everyone was shocked, I did it another time to get Fyre some currency on the server and saw Jhaazy on and saw it as a chance to mess with her so I asked her to play acting like I was Fyre and I could tell how much more she was making sure I was following and such and then she got so mad at the end when I was like by the way I don't feel like acting anymore It's me Sonic Heyo. I can remember a ton of times where Jhaazy has sounded depressed from us losing or getting mad at me for my stupid mistakes like one time I switched kits to something with an ability to push other players away and I accidentally pushed her into lava and killed her she was pretty mad because I was staring at the lava mourning her death when the last player came up from behind and knocked me in costing us a game we should of won. Another funny thing Jhaazy said at one point was that she could feel her tryhardiness activating and then three seconds later said "never mind I'm lagging" I don't know why but I died laughing at that. So to finish off my funny stories I have to tell the story of 12/31/18 me, fqur, and Equal were playing a Christmas game and fqur and I was riding some reindeer and hers was Blitzen and all of a sudden the reindeer and fqur disappeared! and I started dying laughing that a reindeer kicked her off the server and it gave her some weird error message like "e3jdf dopaso fopaos" and we tried to translate it and it said it was some weird language somehow. Later in the day we were playing hunger games and all of a sudden me and Equal out of no where hear "HELLO THIS IS VOICE CONTORL!" and we just started dying laughing cause we had no idea what was happening while fqur was trying to get it to shut up cause it was kind of late I believe.


It's honestly crazy to me how many funny Minecraft memories I have had over the years but I know I love every moment I've made with so many great people over the years from across different servers, I wouldn't trade these for anything honestly.

For me, I guess it was the time that FURRET and geeo kept killing me in the Vizzed Server, though it was kind of sad too. I kept trying to build my world trade Center building but whenever I got to the to the top one of them would have me knocked off and then I'd die, spawn, and have to climb up all over again and then they would do it again.

It made me quit the server but it waa funny.
