Hello guys. This is my first attempt at a character guide, so I am sorry if this is too short or not.
Today I am making a character guide of Minecraft, so this will be about the mobs and bosses.

Profile: Creeper. Creepers are one of the most annoying mobs in the game. They will walk towards you then blow up, killing you and destroying your home that took days to build. Creepers are almost completely quiet, which makes it easy for them to take you by surprise. They only hiss quietly just before they blow up.
How to kill: 1. Try to make it fall from a great height. 2. Make it walk into cactus. 3. Hit it with a weapon, like a iron sword. Just make sure you retreat quickly if the creeper starts to grow. 4. Try to make it walk into lava.
Warning: if a creeper is hit by lightning, it becomes a charged creeper, which will make it even more dangerous and deadly, RUN!

Profile: Zombie. Zombies are not much of a threat unless you run into a large group of them or one pushes you into lava while mining, but they attack and damage you by touching you?. Warning: if you have the game set tohard, zombie can and will break down the door to your home, but they cannot break an iron door.
How to kill. 1. Try to make it fall from a great height. 2. Try to make it walk into lava. 3. Try to make it walk into cactus. 4. Try to trap it into daylight, which will light it on fire. 5. Shoot it with arrow from a good enough distance.?

Profile: Spider. Spiders are hostile when the light level around them is too dark so they are only a threat at night time or in dark areas like a cave. Warning: a spider may spawn rarely with a skeleton on its back, making a spider jockey. This thing can jump, climb walls, and shoot at you with arrows. How to kill:?1. Try to make it fall from a great height. 2. Try to make it walk into lava. 3. Try to make it walk into cactus. 4. Try to trap it into daylight, which will light it on fire. 5. Shoot it with arrow from a good enough distance.

Profile: Enderman. Enderman are rare mobs, but they will attack you if you accidentally look them in the eyes. When an enderman ?attacks it will open it mouth and shake as it rushes towards you. They can teleport as well, which makes it
?almost impossible to escape from them. They can also pick up blocks from the world and move them around too.
Tip: if you put a pumpkin on your head, ?an enderman will not attack you at all, so I suggest that you bring a pumpkin to the end with you.
How to kill: lead it on to water or throw water onto it using a bucket. 2. Try to make it walk into lava. 3. Try to make it walk into cacti.

That is it for now, tomorrow I will finish this with the bosses and the nether mobs!

Pretty decent guide. Two things:

1) I can understand why slimes aren't here since slimes are just plain dumb, but what about skeletons?

Do skeletons get no luv? D:

2) Another way to kill creepers is lighting them with a flame and steel, but they WILL explode when this is performed. so right after you do it i suggest you knock the crap out of them off a cliff or into water or something to minimize landscape damage.

tiber1976 :

I like what you put, but a few things I would like to add, first off being. "Warning: if you have the game set to zombie" I believe you meant to say "game set to hard". Just throwing that out.

2. Creepers, one of the most successful ways to take out a creeper is to hit it, run back and let it cool down, hit it again and repeat. This way it doesn't explode, however if you don't run back fast enough, it will explode.  You can also block the explosion by holding right click down, which will decrease the damage.

3. Enderman, there is a way to easily take out an enderman. Enderman have a height limit, I believe it's 4 blocks. So if you make a 3 block height level above your head and stand under it, they will not have a direct hit on you, making it easier to attack there feet. (Note, if you attack an enderman anywhere but there feet, they will teleport ).

4. You forgot one of the worse mobs, Skeletons. Possibly the most annoying mobs, especially during hardcore mode. Best way to take these guys out is digging under them, and attacking there feet. Other best way is shooting them with arrows. Otherwise, no matter the case, they usually get at least 1 hit on you.

5. Slimes? Easiest mob to kill, but hit the hardest. Nothing special about them, unless you need slime balls. Otherwise, not a big deal in the game.

Just an update, in 1.8 there will be new mobs introduced to the game. But that's not here yet so no worries. Thanks again for the post.

Another note concerning the omnipresent zombie for a start they can track you from up to 30 blocks away and an injured zombie has a chance to spawn more zombies within a certain radius. Plus the baby blighters don't burn in sunlight and can ride chickens.

Plus an additional note concerning slimes only the two larger sizes can hurt you and in water they can't float therefore drowning them is rather easy a body of water 3 block deep and 3 blocks wide will kill every slime size.

But all in all I predict a rather extensive guide that seems well put together with all the hostile mobs btw will this include wolves as they are hostile under certain conditions.

Well tiber your idea does not need part 2 because the veteran players already did it for you here.

And I will have to do the same, because I love this game.

Creepers:
Use diamond sword to: Hit it, walk back, repeat.
Fight only when you have plenty of space.
For safety use a bow instead.

Skeleton:
Run towards, block ( Right click with sword blocks most of the damage from arrows. ), repeat until you can hit it.
For safety use a bow instead.

Zombie:
Press the attack button repeatedly.
Sword is enough.

Enderman:
Use pumpkin to avoid.
Fight only if you have full diamond set.
If you trigger him but you are not prepared, go in water/hide in 2 block high place.

Silverfish:
Press the attack button repeatedly with sword.
Hide in corner.
Can dig stone blocks.

Witch:
Use Diamond sword up close.
Will use Damage potions ( works like a grenade ).
Will use Heal potions.
Bow not recommended.

Enderdragon:
Use bow to get rid of the Ender Crystals before fight.
Use snowballs to stun.
2 Stacks of arrows recommended.
Use bow mostly.
Use sword if flies close.
Eggs do little damage.
Beds can be detonated to damage it by sleeping in it.
Immune to enchantments, potions, fire and water.

tiber1976 : You forgot to put that if a zombie is on fire and it hits you, there is a chance that you will be set on fire. This happens regardless of what caused the fire, i.e. lava or daylight.
